Fallout 76 developer Bethesda Game Studios has seemingly banned a player permanently for building a sign in their CAMP in support of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the run-up to the upcoming presidential election. Reddit user TacoStuffingClub claimed on the Fallout 76 subreddit on Wednesday that Bethesda permanently banned their account over the Harris-Walz sign, with no prior warnings.
Alongside their Reddit post, several screenshots were shared of the player's attempts to contact Bethesda, as well as the developer's reasoning for the ban. In the first image shared, we can see the actual sign that was the alleged cause of this ban, which displays the surnames of both Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in big red letters, and is attached to a building.
In the Customer Support response, Bethesda claims that this player's account was banned due to "inappropriate signage and/or item placement", and that the build itself had also been removed. After appealing the decision, Bethesda stood firm in its decision to permanently ban the player's account, claiming the "extent and scale of the violation" justified the ban.
