To say Baldur's Gate 3 is popular would be stating the obvious. Larian's latest RPG has sold millions of copies the world over and many of those millions are still playing more than a year later - there are 40,000 of you playing right now on Steam alone. What will almost certainly be news to you is two of those millions of copies sold were bought in the Vatican.
While how many of you are playing on Steam at any given time is an easily discovered statistic, who's playing where are deeper cuts that only those involved in the development and distribution of the game have access to. Thankfully, Michael Douse, Larian's publishing director, not only has access to those numbers, but they have been sharing some of the more interesting stats, including Baldur's Gate 3's Vatican numbers.

Douse revealed that two copies of Baldur's Gate 3 have been sold in The Vatican, and a third copy has been wishlisted. The publisher joked that they like to think the wishlist is on the Pope's Steam account and he'll get around to playing...
