Secret Level Creator Doesn't Regret Doing A Concord Episode

Concord is officially dead in the water following Sony's closure of Firewalk Studios. The expensive, high-profile live-service game was ultimately a flop, shutting down after just two weeks after active player numbers dropped into double digits. It was a tough market to launch a pay-to-play hero shooter, and the sales numbers ultimately reflected that.

One of the more interesting aspects of Concord's legacy is that the game's universe is a setting for one of the episodes of the animated anthology series Secret Level, a collaboration between Tim Miller's Blur Studio and Amazon MGM Studios. Each episode of Secret Level is set in a different video game universe, including Armored Core, The Outer Worlds and Spelunky. Concord was an interesting choice considering the game hadn't been released yet when the episode was created.

There were doubts cast over whether the episode would air following the shutdown of Concord, but ultimately, a lot of people worked hard on creating the episode and there's no sense in letting it become lost media. Secret Level creator Tim Miller has nothing but positive things to say about Firewalk Studios, Concord and the episode they created together.
