In a recent Reddit thread, one Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon player known as Ichigoat_Joe shared a few screenshots of interactions with Hau and Mom and stated, "I find it funny how he (Hau) asks which starter you’d choose with a big buff cat next to you."
The idea that a player would take the time to complete a starter's evolutionary chain before meeting their rival in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon is unconventional, to say the least.
