Gamemeca's Reviews

While the parrying mechanics and cooperative action with <Ku> are solid enough, the game becomes tedious as it fails to effectively convey its narrative, including its compelling worldview and the characters´ emotional arcs. Combined with monotonous boss battles, uninspired field design, and awkward camera angles, it ultimately feels like a title that still lacks the necessary know-how for crafting an action RPG.

Village in the Shade is a new title in which the Yomawari development team combines traditional horror elements with Stardew Valley-style farming simulation. Both the horror and everyday parts are well-structured, and the volume is balanced enough that it is not difficult to read both parts in parallel. The night’s heart-pounding terror and the daytime’s chill coexist in harmony with everyday life, while also capturing the fun of breaking the rules of a traditional village. Overall, the level of polish and stability is adequate, but it lacks a certain degree of originality.

Recommended if you’ve played the previous work. Although the newly introduced adventure and the existing detective elements were lacking, the direction, screenplay, storytelling, depth of the world-building, and overall cohesion were all refined. It’s a shame as a deduction game, but from the perspective of a visual novel based on a superpower world, it’s an excellent work.

88 / 100 - Cinderia
Jul 28, 2026

Cinderia is a title that maximizes the appeal of roguelite action games. Its captivating world-building and charming characters add to the visual appeal, and thanks to its powerful passive effects, players can build strong decks from the start, making combat highly enjoyable as well. The difficulty balance was also properly adjusted through strong pollution and bosses.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced successfully modernizes the classic pirate adventure. It cuts the clunky modern-day segments and refines naval combat for a smoother experience. Despite minor technical hiccups, it’s a nostalgic and well-crafted return to the series' roots.

Endless Ragnarok revives the game with new characters and roguelite content. Master Skills fix base game issues and add deep build variety for all. While Summon Stones feel a bit shallow, the overall experience is excellent.

Thank You For Your Application is a gritty, dystopian sim that turns job hunting into a soul-crushing roguelike. You play as a cold-hearted interviewer whose own humanity fades as you reject desperate candidates to survive. It is a brilliant, bitter critique of capitalism, though the mid-game pace feels like a chore.

74 / 100 - Gothic 1 Remake
Jun 12, 2026

Gothic 1 Remake successfully revives the brutal, uncompromising atmosphere of the classic CRPG experience. However, its punishingly unfair early-game design and frequent, game-breaking bugs severely hinder the player's progression. While nostalgic fans might enjoy the challenge, the technical state requires urgent developer attention.

Story narrative game emphasizes unique humanism and communion. Originally solid, the narrative was reinforced by adding a spoonful of conflict and depression, and the Japanese background was depicted synesthetically. The play was cozy, but at the same time, I felt mannerism, and the translation was a bit disappointing.

86 / 100 - Subnautica 2
May 15, 2026

It embodied the fear and charm of the deep sea at the same time, and realized immersive content that made it difficult to turn off the game. The audiovisual experience was also significant, and the vegetation that appeared also retained its unique mystery. If more content is added through future development, it will be a great masterpiece to connect Subnotica 1.

It has implemented an open world with high freedom, and boasts the largest content among subculture games by filling in anomalies, main quests, and various mini-games. In addition, the production of novel anomalies attracts attention, but the unfortunate story completeness harms the immersion. From strength to weakness, it reminds me of the Crimson desert.

Olden Era delivers high immersion and long-lasting enjoyment befitting the series. Although, as it's in Early Access, some content is lacking, and the UI/UX could be more refined. Nevertheless, it shows promise for the revival of the Heroes of Might and Magic series, and with future patches addressing its shortcomings, it has the potential to become an even better title.

85 / 100 - Saros
Apr 24, 2026

Saros refines the punishing Returnal formula into a more accessible, biome-based roguelite experience. While the haptic feedback and combat systems feel fantastic, the overly vague, confusing narrative remains a divisive hurdle. It is a technically polished successor that successfully balances high difficulty with clever player-progression mechanics.

Diablo 4's Lord of Hatred expansion offers a massive improvement in narrative depth and cinematic quality. The new Warlock class and refined farming systems like War Plans provide a satisfying gameplay loop. While the core experience remains familiar, it is a compelling update worth playing.
