God is a Geek's Reviews

7.5 / 10.0 - Liberated
Jun 1, 2020

Liberated's distinct, comic book style adds atmosphere to its simple, fun action. It's just a shame that it's so plagued by technical issues

May 29, 2020

Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath is a great continuation of the story, but the cost is rather steep for what you're getting. Fujin and Sheeva are brilliant additions to the roster, even if RoboCop doesn't work as well.

8 / 10.0 - Resolutiion
May 28, 2020

Resolutiion starts off strong, but a lack of direction and some harsh difficulty spikes make it a bit of a flawed gem.

6.5 / 10.0 - Atomicrops
May 28, 2020

Atomicrops is an action-packed rogue-like farming simulator crossed with a frenetic twin-stick shooter. It is filled with good humour and some interesting systems, but the perma-death feels a little out of sorts with the idea of growing things.

5 / 10.0 - Those Who Remain
May 28, 2020

There's an intriguing and intelligent story to Those Who Remain, but poor checkpointing and awkward chase scenes often spoil the experience.

4 / 10.0 - Star Horizon
May 28, 2020

Star Horizon simply has too many issues to warrant playing. Poor graphics, voices and variety make for a dull experience, and one level is broken to the point of unbeatable. If you want to blast some enemy ships, just play Starfox again.

While it might initially seem a bit overwhelming, the creative potential in Nimbatus - The Space Drone Constructor is mind-bogglingly fun.

May 28, 2020

Red Wings: Aces of the Sky is filled with over 50 missions, and although there's plenty to do and the controls are easy to get used to, it does become repetitive after a while.

While I wanted a few more quality of life improvements and would've liked more visual improvements or consistency, what Monolith Soft have put out in Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is nothing short of spectacular.

May 26, 2020

Super Mega Baseball 3 is a solid baseball sim, proving grounded gameplay that allows anyone to jump in. With loads of customisation options and a great Franchise mode, it's easily the best in the series.

May 26, 2020

Fans of crazy golf will find a lot to love in Golf with your Friends, with outlandish levels and chaotic game modes

8 / 10.0 - Maneater
May 22, 2020

Maneater is knowingly imperfect , but presents a very competent open world checklist RPG where you happen to play a shark instead of the usual cop or criminal

8 / 10.0 - Monster Train
May 22, 2020

Whilst unashamedly similar to Slay the Spire, Monster Train has enough of its own ideas to deliver its own blend of deep, addictive fun.

6.5 / 10.0 - Minecraft Dungeons
May 22, 2020

Minecraft Dungeons has heaps of potential, and in a year's time it may be a very different beast. But right now I can't shake the notion that this is a squandered opportunity.

7.5 / 10.0 - Embr
May 20, 2020

Embr is a great concept tied to deliberately off-the-wall and fun mechanics. Like Stretchers and Overcooked, it delights in turning something more serious into something silly.

May 19, 2020

Dark Nights with Poe and Munro is perfect for fans of D'Avekki Studios. However, the short episodes can undermine the great story ideas and actor chemistry on display.

7 / 10.0 - Cannibal Cuisine
May 19, 2020

It's an absolute blast with friends, but dodgy controls and a lack of new ideas struggle to help Cannibal Cuisine stand out in the genre.

8.5 / 10.0 - Get Packed
May 18, 2020

Get Packed is a brilliant couch co-op game, but if you're looking to play online, there's little to no chance at the moment. However, if you're looking to play with your household, you'll likely spend hours enjoying the frantic and funny gameplay.

9 / 10.0 - Huntdown
May 18, 2020

Innovative gameplay and incredible aesthetics make Huntdown a must play run and gun shooter. With an array of difficulty options, side objectives and even co-op, it's a perfect starting point in the genre for all gaming backgrounds

9 / 10.0 - WHAT THE GOLF?
May 17, 2020

What the Golf? is an addictive physics-based puzzler, packed full of courses that are completely different and challenging from the last, with tons of surprises to boot.
