It has been great revisiting Asuka’s stories years after experiencing them for the first time. [OpenCritic Note: Mikhail Madnani separately reviewed the Vita (8.5) and Switch (8.0) versions. Their scores have been averaged.]

Even if you have a passing interest in puzzle games, I do think you'd enjoy 7th Sector as it's different enough to stand out, with an interesting story that will keep you playing through to the end

From the opening moments to the end credits, everything about Kunai just oozes charm and its movement mechanics make it a joy to play. An absolute must-play.

Not only is Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales a great game in its own right, but it's also a worthy entry into the franchise and lore.

7 / 10.0 - Mosaic
Feb 5, 2020

While Mosaic is a good game, it's hard to describe it as enjoyable due to its subject matter. It has the possibility to hit a bit too close home for some, but the overall message once you hit the end might be worth it. It is by no means a bad game, just very heavy handed when it comes to its subject matter.

If you're a huge fan of The Dark Crystal you may get a kick from Age of Resistance Tactics, but it doesn't do nearly enough to stand out in a fairly busy genre

Patapon 2 Remastered brings its unique style to the PS4, with plenty of variety, and some wonderful music to boot. It's just a shame that the input lag is a problem.

Zombie Army 4: Dead War is a frantic arcade shooter that is a little one-note, but has enough variance in zombie types, gorgeous environments and a robust co-operative experience to make it an enjoyable experience

An enjoyable Metroidvania with some significant issues. It's not easy to navigate and the combat is subpar, but the formation shifting and late game upgrades make it easier to keep turning the pages

A Brexit game might not sound fun, but don't be put off. Not Tonight delivers a slice of addictive fun with a side helping of humour.

Taking clear inspiration from The Banner Saga, Ash of Gods just about does enough to stands on its own merits, and delivers an engaging tactical adventure held back by a few minor faults

7 / 10.0 - Coffee Talk
Jan 31, 2020

A telling of very human relationships in an interesting everyday fantasy setting. Coffee Talk is slow paced even for a visual novel, but has some unexpected twists that make the journey worthwhile

Jan 31, 2020

[Greg Bailey separately reviewed the PC (7.5) and Switch (4) versions. Their scores have been averaged.] While far from perfect, Monster Energy Supercross 3 is an exciting slice of dirt bike racing fun, packed with content.

Jan 31, 2020

The Llama of Wall Street DLC packs a small punch but is still fun to play. It still feels just like Tropico 6, which will disappoint some, but be great news to others.

Jan 30, 2020

Aviary attorney is the perfect homage to the Ace Attorney series. Beyond beautiful to look at, with a twisting story and hilarious characters that make you want more

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire - Ultimate Edition brings the epic CRPG to consoles, and the majority of it is excellent, although there are far too many load screens that seem to go on forever.

Jan 27, 2020

Journey to the Savage Planet is a smaller, happier version of what No Man's Sky should have been at launch. Filled with things to find, trials to survive and, most importantly, genuine personality.

7 / 10.0 - HARDCORE MECHA
Jan 23, 2020

Hardcore Mecha doesn't bring anything new to the table, but it is extremely enjoyable. While having Japanese-only VO could cause you to miss dialogue in heavy action sequences, you might be having too much fun flying around shooting things to even notice.

Jan 22, 2020

An essential single player Dragon Ball game for new fans and series veterans alike. Although it's a little slow paced and has some painful load times, no game has felt more "Dragon Ball" than Kakarot. Great combat, deep systems and a huge variety of content make this package a joy to sink your hours into

Football, Tactics & Glory is a simple management sim with a unique footballing twist that doesn't quite work. It needs more depth and polish to really shine.
