Few fighting games have had the longevity of the Tekken series, but Tekken 7 manages to both refine and add new wrinkles to an already solid formula. Wonky online issues aside, this is the best the series has looked in a decade.

Players won't find a satisfying story in The Walking Dead: A New Frontier - Episode 5: From The Gallows, just disappointment from their time being wasted.

The Final Challengers isn't the deluxe reissue that it should've been, but it's still a solid enough version of Street Fighter II that lends itself well to portable play.

A lot of this outing of The Walking Dead: A New Frontier feels like treading water, as Telltale takes their time building to episode 5. Ending on a cliffhanger, the instalment does its job of upping the stakes for next time. Whether or not the developer can deliver a satisfying finale, however, is still up in the air.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's improved Battle Mode is bound to bring out some people's inner child in the best way (this author very much included). As for the rest of the racing action, the tight and polished multiplayer action is as good as it's ever been - and the ability to take it on-the-go is like a dream come true.

Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition doesn't offer a great deal of new content, but new visual polish and the quality and fun of the original game means that the package holds up well.

At its best, Yooka-Laylee is a fun retread of '90s-era 3D platforming. Unfortunately, it fails to move the genre forward in any significant way, and even brings back several pains that should have stayed firmly planted in the past.

A greatest hits package of delights, The Ringed City gets just about everything right. If this is the end, as we believe it is, Dark Souls is going out on a high note.
