8 / 10.0 - OlliOlli

If you've waited to pick this title up or perhaps didn't have a Vita to play it on, then the Steam version, given that it's priced the same, is the way to go.

4 / 10.0 - Cloud Chamber
Aug 22, 2014

It asks for the players' money and time, yet they still must create the rewards for themselves. It looks expensive, with decent production values, semi-famous actors, and some real science fact behind the fiction, yet all that work, all that money, and all of your time never truly amounts to anything. We may never solve Kathleen's mystery, but I doubt that's the real tragedy here.

8 / 10.0 - Madden NFL 15
Aug 21, 2014

Based on the presentation and improvement in the gameplay and animations, Madden NFL 15 isn't everything I hoped for, but it's still fun.

7 / 10.0 - Sacred 3
Aug 21, 2014

If you're a fan of the genre and looking for a new game, I'd say it's worth a play. The player is spoonfed with the simplicity of the depth. If that speaks to your desires, this is the game for you.

This is the definitive version of Diablo 3. It's the best game I've played on both the PS4 and Xbox One, which surprises me. The changes made have me hooked. If you own a next-gen console, you'd be doing yourself a huge disservice if you don't purchase Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition -- unless you just hate the Diablo franchise. In that case, I can't help you.

Lovely Planet may go down in history as the most pleasant way to brush up on your FPS skills this side of Portal.

After a few hours I did eventually have my fill of Sixty Second Shooter Prime. I played Geometry Wars for months, but while I enjoy and recommend SSSP, I don't think I'll have the same relationship with it.

7 / 10.0 - MouseCraft
Aug 3, 2014

Mousecraft is a strong puzzle game that eases you along. It's enjoyable, but I've played other games like it, though not as good. If you're looking for a puzzle game that will last your up to 10 or 12 hours, give it a go. And once Steam Workshop adds support for sharing created levels, there will be a lot more replay value.

Unscored - WildStar
Aug 3, 2014

Though WildStar slowed down a bit in these levels, it's never lost my interest. There's so much to do that you can switch things up and play at your own pace. Even if I only have 20 minutes to play, I can still feel like I've progressed or done something worthwhile with my time.

If you weren't able to play The Last of Us on PS3, then definitely check out the Remastered version on PS4. It's honestly a must-play for any PlayStation owner. If you did play it on PS3 already and want to experience it again, well, have at it. The Remastered version only improves upon what you already loved. And adds to it as well with all of the previously released DLC already included on it.

If the more traditional style doesn't bother you, the game is absolutely worth the bang for the dollar.

Unscored - Abyss Odyssey
Jul 29, 2014

In one of Nietzsche's more famous quote from Beyond Good and Evil, so states, "He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." The longer you play Abyss Odyssey, the more this becomes true.

If you like good Dark Souls environments and puzzles, this is definitely the DLC for you. There aren't a whole slew of new items, weapons, or spells but keep in mind that this is one of three announced DLCs, there will be more to come. Check out Crown of the Sunken King before I go ahead and beat it for a fourth time. I'd say it takes about 2-4 hours your first time.

7 / 10.0 - Squids Odyssey
Jul 26, 2014

Ultimately, strategy and RPG aficionados may find Squids Odyssey a bit too simple, but if you go into it with the mindset that this is just a fun, jolly little game, you're bound to have a genuinely good time with it.

6 / 10.0 - Blue Estate
Jul 19, 2014

If you have a high tolerance of extremely inappropriate dialogue, racist comments, and other demeaning lines, then maybe you might have a slightly better time appreciating the sorry excuse for a narrative. For the rest, even though Blue Estate does deliver some satisfying rail-shooter lightgun combat, sans the lightgun, it's bogged down by stupid swipe controls that completely break up the action.

And really, that's the major flaw of The Wolf Among Us: that it does so much right and hints at the towering heights it could achieve, only to go tumbling down hill.
