7 / 10.0 - Destiny 2
Sep 11, 2017

On the one hand, Destiny 2 will feel like old times, an adventure that begins with the words "Be brave" and culminates in epic shenanigans. On the other hand, Destiny's soul doesn't feel any more defined in this sequel and it's prone to many of the pitfalls of the original while introducing some new mistakes. Highly recommended for Destiny fans and new players but those who didn't like the original might want to think twice.

6 / 10.0 - Hey! Pikmin
Sep 11, 2017

Hey! Pikmin misses out on being a great platformer with its disappointing touch screen controls, and its poor level design. But it may be a fun ride for die hard Pikmin fans.

Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle is a wonderfully pleasant surprise that masterfully accomplishes almost everything that it tries to do.

Lost in Blue meets Xenoblade is not a matchup I would have ever thought of, but it's a solid one with a great foundation of fun combat, great premise, amazing music and nice story. The few problems it has are pervasive and distracting, but never enough to really turn you off. While it doesn't have a volleyball character, I'd still recommend it to most any RPG fan.

6 / 10.0 - Knack 2
Sep 5, 2017

Knack II didn't really need to happen, but it did. There was nothing new to gain from the experience, the story is boring, but the game has a few fun moments here and there.

6 / 10.0 - Absolver
Sep 1, 2017

With so many different ideas mixed in with a compelling fighting system, Absolver should be better than it is but comes off as needing a lot more work to become truly great, letalone good.

Resident Evil Revelations is a game out of time and it doesn't hold up to the standard of the hardware it's trying to compete on. Is it still classic style Resident Evil? Yeah, sure. But it's hard to say whether that's enough in 2017, and with the rest of its issues, it certainly lacks in many departments.

There's a lot of joy to be had with The Escapists 2. From an updated crafting system to fun challenges and interesting escape scenarios to discover, this game is designed for hardcore strategists and won't be an easy play for anyone.

8 / 10.0 - F1 2017
Aug 30, 2017

F1 2017 bring us a fine tuned, well balanced, fun and compelling, and hugely satisfying racing game that can be recommended to motorsport enthusiasts without hesitation- but it can also be recommended to newcomers, if with some caveats. That is perhaps the game's greatest accomplishment.

7 / 10.0 - Madden NFL 18
Aug 21, 2017

Longshot is a promising start to story mode for Madden, and with polish could become even more special. In all, it's more Madden, but with a few flourishes that make it a decent time.

Incredible levels, beautiful art, a fantastic soundtrack and classic gameplay make Sonic Mania the best Sonic game in years.

9 / 10.0 - Yakuza Kiwami
Aug 21, 2017

For fans of the series, the game is like a loveletter, taking Kiryu's first story, and reimagining it with modern sensibilities. For newcomers, this game represents the best place to jump in- it's a far better product than Yakuza 0, which was great in and of itself to begin with.

Uncharted The Lost Legacy may feel too similar to Uncharted 4 at times but that doesn't make it a bad game at all. There is great value of money here with its ten hour long campaign and comprehensive multiplayer modes.

7 / 10.0 - Agents of Mayhem
Aug 15, 2017

Agents of Mayhem is a game that tries and accomplishes a lot of things, but a general lack of ambition and mechanics that are often sluggish weigh down the overall experience.

6 / 10.0 - Observer
Aug 14, 2017

Observer feels like a step down from Layers of Fear. It's intriguing and mind-bending enough for sure with its atmosphere sure to creep out people. But the lead VA, annoying artefacts and some of the horror elements just don't click.

8 / 10.0 - Nidhogg 2
Aug 14, 2017

Nidhogg 2 may not be as beautifully simple as its predecessor and the art-style and new weapons are an acquired taste. However, the combat, crazy pace of matches and sheer aesthetic makes for great fights, either alone or with friends.

7 / 10.0 - LawBreakers
Aug 12, 2017

LawBreakers attempts to reconcile the hero shooter genre with the arena shooter genre and somewhat succeeds. However, for as fun as it can be, it needs more than nifty movement and fast action for the long run.

8 / 10.0 - Tacoma
Aug 1, 2017

Rather than big and bombastic, Tacoma is small and personal, inviting you to be involved. It's a strong testament to the power of visual narration and characterization possible in today's video games despite some nit-picks here and there.
