Solid gameplay and a charming art style make Tembo a good platformer, but poor replay value.
Monday morning blues, occasional hints of that Friday feeling
Magnetic steps just enough outside of Portal's shadow.
The Banner Saga, for all its visual elegance, stumbles onto the PS4 with a very spare, workmanlike port that falls short not through any single big problem, but from the accretion of smaller issues. from the interface to the controls to the loading times. For all its faults The Banner Saga is clearly a labor of love.
Steep difficulty curve
Ultimately, Hohokum feels like it's not entirely sure what it wants to be. It gives the impression of wanting to jettison typical game tropes, but then has a very clear level structure, and is at its best when it plays up its more typical video game features. It wants to appear to be all about the joy of exploring the space the developer has created – to be a true freeform, gameplay experience – but has specific goals to achieve and a set way to achieve them, even if it does leave you to work out these things alone.
Will you enjoy In Too Deep if you liked Telltale's other The Walking Dead series? Absolutely. Does it stand up to our expectations based on the previous series? Not really. A Walking Dead game in shape and form, Michonne just lacks the tension in atmosphere and decision making.
Unbalanced, but accomplishes what it set out to do.
A strong strategy game tarred by its unfinished feel and the influence of luck, but fans of the setting will be able to overlook its flaws
Give No Shelter uses its strong narrative to focus on what makes The Walking Dead more than a horror story: the human condition. The external struggles between Michonne and Monroe are secondary to the internal struggles Michonne faces herself.
By attempting to invigorate a genre which many feel has gone rather stale, Campo Santo has simply reminded us what it is we liked about that genre in the first place. Perhaps in time Firewatch will be considered a forerunner, the one which broke the mould, but right now it manages to only fall painfully between two stools.

Good fun, while it lasts
Don't ask the BunnyLord about his foreign policy...
Gorging on detail, starved of originality
Superhot is a groundbreaking idea wrapped in a slick, minimalist aesthetic. Though its gameplay offers little variety, it is fun and truly unique, and comes at a fair price.
An imperfect but atmospheric opening song to Chapters
I can wholeheartedly recommend playing this game to anyone remotely interested in space or first person exploration games that are more focused on letting the player do what the player will. P.O.L.L.E.N stands up to Gone Home as a gaming experience, but early adopters of the Rift would be remiss to pass on experiencing this game in virtual reality.
Unravel is artistic to its core; it makes up for its limited complexity by shaping an atmosphere that draws you in and makes you see Yarny as more than just a cute mascot, with music that's both mood appropriate to the game and a relaxing soundtrack outside of it.
The Old Hunters is a bit on the short side and doesn't stray as far from the formula as it's proven it can, but what there is of it adds significantly to the depth of Bloodborne as a whole; Definitely recommended, especially for stalwart fans hungry for more, but nothing unmissable on its own.
