An amazing experience that has to be seen to be believed. The Room VR: A Dark Matter takes Fireproof Games' established escape room genre to the next level and elevates it to incredible heights of an outstanding adventure thanks to the power of VR. I completely recommend this to any VR buffs out there, there is no reason not to enjoy this game.

6.2 / 10.0 - The Climb (VR)
Apr 30, 2020

The Climb on Oculus Quest brings over the full experience from the nearly 4 year old desktop version at the cost of some reduced graphical quality. The Climb does a good job of translating the rock climbing experience into a somewhat fun but challenging game that is also surprisingly rewarding and good looking. Although it's not perfect, and there are a few immersion breaking moments and confusing design choices; for fans of rock climbing or those looking for a slightly different VR experience or a good showpiece title, The Climb is worth a look.

Disaster Report 4 is a game like no other. Undeniably flawed both technically and mechanically, I cannot in good nature recommend it to anybody, and yet I find myself recommending it to every person to ask.

All in all, ITTA is a recommended indie game with pleasing visuals and with tough bosses offering satisfying finishers.

Convoy is a solid tactical roguelike. While it doesn't offer much to make it stand out from the pack, and the repetitiveness doesn't give it the staying power of the genre's best entries, it is a fun distraction for people looking to switch things up from FTL.

The Final Fantasy VII Remake is a beautiful modernization of one of gaming's most beloved RPGs of all time. It preserves what made people fall in love with the game in the first place, while flawlessly bringing other aspects into the modern age.

7.5 / 10.0 - Grimvalor
Apr 22, 2020

Grimvalor might not be the prettiest or most complicated game on the Switch, but the fun factor is hard to argue with. It's a pretty standard, simple hack and slash platformer, but it knows exactly what it is, and does it well. It's not the most challenging game in the world, but it's enjoyable from start to finish.

7 / 10.0 - Pong Quest
Apr 21, 2020

PONG Quest is a surprisingly solid PONG game, but not a solid RPG game. It's a fun experience that I'd have trouble recommending if it wasn't only $15. If you're looking to burn a few hours during the quarantine, you could do a lot worse than PONG Quest.

8.8 / 10.0 - A Fold Apart
Apr 18, 2020

A short tale of long distance, A Fold Apart takes you on a journey of emotional turbulence. Easy to follow, easy to play, and easy to fall in love with. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this game, and I can only hope others will give it the chance it so sorely deserves.

8.5 / 10.0 - Paper Beast
Apr 16, 2020

Every inch of Paper Beast is engineered to perfection. From the sprawling mouldable environments to the diverse and unique ecosystem, everything is interactive and engaging. I had an absolute blast with this title, and I think the majority of PSVR players need to play this at least once in their lifetime.

Shinsekai: Into the Depths is a beautiful game of exploration and discovery. The standout mobile game is right at home on the Nintendo Switch, and I can’t recommend it enough to anyone looking for their next adventure.

This game may have fell short of the potential I feel it had, but I nonetheless hope to see more from PlayWood Project Aps in the future.

6.5 / 10.0 - Moons of Madness
Apr 5, 2020

Moons of Madness promises a lot but only delivers a rather intriguingly beautiful yet trudging cosmic horror title which is ultimately a disappointingly forgettable experience. With just 8 or so hours of gameplay, it somehow feels incredibly short yet overly drawn out due to woefully slow pacing.

7 / 10.0 - Snakeybus
Apr 3, 2020

All in all, Snakeybus is a fine arcade experience. Featuring a unique and fantastically fun take on a classic game, the Switch port is perfect to enjoy in small bursts. Though lacking the multiplayer mayhem of its PC counterpart, there's still enough here to warrant the price of entry.

I found this game difficult to enjoy. It just doesn't do enough to keep you entertained and, at points, I struggled to even want to try to finish it. The repetitive nature of the game may appeal to some and while this type of game may have been "milestone" back in the '80s, nowadays we always hope for more bang for our buck. I would wait until it's on sale before purchasing as I just can't justify the £35 price tag.
