Critic Reviews for The Climb (VR)
The puzzle-like mechanics of scaling a wall are interesting, but using your neck as a controller is not
Even if you can get into the controls, there’s simply not all that much here.
The Climb has a really sturdy foundation built on entertaining mechanics, great feedback that keeps you moving, and deep hooks for multiplayer. At the same time, frustrations with the controls and a lack of an audience damages a lot of what Crytek has built.
With The Climb, Crytek has taken a throwaway traversal mechanic from games like Uncharted and masterfully turned that into its own compelling and complete experience.
The price is too high e and the learning curve is not suitable for everyone, but aside these two flaws The Climb is simply one of the best VR experience available today.

The Climb is a cool and fun VR experience that takes an obvious VR concept and runs with it. The result is more positive than not and worth checking out if you have an interest in rock climbing.
