Deathloop has a rather unique premise to it, but it misses the mark in the execution being littered with numerous issues that plague an overall solid experience.
Life is Strange: True Colors is a near perfect offering providing a remarkable journey filled with twists and deeply emotional moments.
Psychonauts 2 is a perfect 3D platformer offering a well balanced challenge that’s engaging and filled with a lengthy narrative that provides many laughs alongside heavier emotional beats.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite has some interesting mechanics to it, great visuals but lacks the replayability it needs to be successful as it’s such a minimal experience.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD isn’t necessarily a massive upgrade over that original experience, but it does clean things up and provides a different look at the fateful connection between Link and Zelda.
The Ascent is a technically impressive and rather gorgeous cyberpunk twin stick shooter held back by a number of issues. This includes the basically broken coop, the mind boggling checkpoints and the insane difficulty spikes.
As a whole, the Blackwood chapter is an excellent addition to Elder Scrolls Online offering a rousing narrative, a new landscape to explore, and companions to aid you in your adventures.
Dungeons and Dragons: Dark Alliance is an alright adventure, it’s got a fine amount of content and it’s good fun for a group.
Geminose: Animal Popstars is an ok experience, for a particularly young audience with a highlight being its original music compilations.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is an excellent new adventure for the duo and a beautiful showcase of just what the PlayStation 5 can do.
Miitopia is basically a game that plays itself, being rather mundane and most of the time boring. That being said it does have a rather enjoyable core loop that I can see beginners to the genre loving.
Knockout City is a blast, filled with some wild and wacky over the top dodgeball action.
Hood: Outlaws & Legends has a fairly enjoy core gameplay loop that kept me entertained as I fought for loot and glory, but the scope is limited and the premise won’t be for everyone.
MLB The Show 21 is another great entry in the series, expanding the platforms while also heading into the next generation.
Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a great standalone release, with the story being a bit compressed due to it being a smaller expansion upon a now growing universe.
Destruction AllStars is a rather bland, minimal in content and generally boring take on the demolition derby genre of driving games.
Sackboy: A Big Adventure is a great platformer filled with care in each of the little details in the environment, featuring some fun action that’s perfect for all ages.
Another Dawn is an abysmal experience with performance issues, excruciating AI implementation and ugly environments.
The Medium is an incredible narrative driven psychological thriller that balances a really neat split between reality, and an eerie spirit world.
Hitman 3 is a near perfect conclusion to this exciting, and richly filled trilogy that has been created.
