Super Beat Sports is for sure an homage to Rhythm Heaven but without the amount of variety a game like this should hold for a new console. With a non-memorable soundtrack and repetition of stages with new color schemes is a lazy cop out for trying to add new flavor.
Aaero is an interesting experiment at mixing rail shooting with rail movement and has a nice, eclectic soundtrack, but the end result is too chaotic to be very enjoyable unless you want a challenge that's more frustrating than rewarding.
Invector tries to copy the best, and only manages to be a pale imitator. The only real highlight is the Avicii soundtrack, and even that gets old very, very fast. The end result is more confusing than fun, and neither the gameplay nor the music are strong enough to make it worth enduring at length.
Eat Beat Dead Spike San is an average mobile game of average value that lacks the genre variety and polish of similar games on the eShop. BlazBlue fans may appreciate the game more than average and hardcore players. A few hours of Eat Beat Dead Spike-san is more than enough to fill the stomach full of rock candy.
RUNNER3 is a remarkable aspiration. The game wants to be fluid, colorful, charming, and accessible, but fails to achieve these goals. RUNNER3’s gameplay is a true test of patience and persistence. For those who can bear it, the game is rewarding, but for those looking for a fun romp, they might want to look elsewhere.
While Harmonix Music VR lives up to what a launch game for a new platform or peripheral should be. A tech demo. While neat to see what Harmonix has created for the virtual world, this seems like a small project for a few team members that could've had a lot of potential in the end. Loading MP3's struggled big time even when using something as powerful as the all mighty PS4 system.
