75 / 100 - Antigraviator
May 1, 2020

Antigraviator certainly delivers on its promise when it comes to the eyewatering speeds you’ll be racing at. It looks great, sounds great and controls great, but sadly I sometimes felt chanceless against the AI racers, which put a real dent in my overall enjoyment of the single player campaign. I’d still recommend a purchase, but mostly for some fun local couch multiplayer when you have friends over.

I’ve been enjoying my time with Predator: Hunting Grounds but it leaves plenty of room for skepticism. For a $40 product it really lacks content right now and it needs further improvements in some key areas to be great. That said you can tell a lot of care went into making sure the Predator played great and that the game felt like the original movie. If you can get a good group together you can have a lot of fun with this one.

8 / 10.0 - Sakura Wars
Apr 27, 2020

When I went in to review this game I didn’t know what to really expect out of it but I came out of it as a fan and as someone who hopes to see more Sakura Wars in the future. The combat is kind of mindless but I feel like the strong story and character development along with a great visual style and audio work makes up for it. There is room to improve but this Sakura Wars reboot left a great impression on me.

80 / 100 - Lost Ember
Apr 21, 2020

Lost Ember offers an emotional tale of discovery set in a visually stunning world. The possession mechanic is interesting and allows for some unique setpiece experiences while the huge amount of collectables offer some longevity beyond the four-hour story experience.

Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories isn’t quite a disaster but it does have quite a few things wrong with it you need to keep in mind before jumping in. Getting to visit a Japan hit by disaster and have the opportunity to interact and choose whether to help people can be fun. It’s just a shame that the game looks and performs poorly and has some questionable design choices and writing in it.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is a love-letter to the source material. It does a much better job at telling the gripping story and makes you truly feel for the inhabitants of Midgar. Lay to rest any worries you may have had over its length as well, as this first “episode” will provide you with a full game’s worth of content.

7.5 / 10.0 - Bleeding Edge
Mar 27, 2020

Bleeding Edge is a fun 4-v-4 brawler and best played with a team of friends. You’ll have a blast while it lasts, but what it offers in wildly interesting characters designs, it’s lacking in longevity.

10 / 10.0 - Persona 5 Royal
Mar 20, 2020

Three years ago Persona 5 sunk its hooks into me and kept me playing for well over 100 hours until I rolled credits. Now three years later Persona 5 Royal has done it to me again. While much of the experience was the same Persona 5 game I had already played some nice new changes made it better in ways I didn’t know I wanted. Not only that but the new content such as Kasumi, the new palace, and new places such as the Thieves Den and new area of Tokyo made it all worth it.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps is nothing short of a masterpiece. From its painting-like gorgeous aesthetic and a soundtrack that will sweep you off your feet to the tight gameplay and addictive progression system.

As a fan of character action games such as these I can’t recommend the Bayonetta and Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle enough. Both games still look good even a decade later and performance wise they’ve never been better especially on the PlayStation platform.

8.5 / 10.0 - Darksiders Genesis
Feb 16, 2020

Darksiders Genesis may not be the continuation of the story that many of us are waiting for but its attempt at taking an established franchise and turning it into a fun dungeon crawler was successful.
