For the series debut on the Nintendo Switch, Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix does a fantastic job at offering an enjoyable experience for players new and old.
A space station builder with very little to build. It's a great concept but it's just not well executed enough and it's too shallow to be the game it deserves to be.
With a simple but engaging upgrade system; enough weapons and gadgets to make James Bond blush; and a great parrying mechanic that brings an unexpected rhythmic element to combat, this is one title that warrants a purchase even without any fancy VR setup. Repetition with enemy variety and level structure may mar the experience for some players, but it's easy to overlook these faults when the core game has so much to offer.

A really nice stop gap title until Chronic Blunt Punch arrives and decent use of an old system. A few fiddly controls, but nothing that can't be forgiven.
Exit the Gungeon is a solid spin-off that is able to deliver a level of enjoyment that matches its predecessor, while also standing tall on its own two feet.
A fantastic arcade throwback, Streets of Rage 4 remains faithful to the classic series, whilst adding its own fresh twist.
Deep Rock Galactic is a great mix of Minecraft and Starship Troopers with excellent gameplay and variety. However, graphics can occasionally be slightly off and exits for the drop pods will on rare occasion be inaccessible. This is an easy game to get started in and easy to get hooked on.
It's always fun to control a robot that can smash through windows, but the lack of content might put some people off.
Fury Unleashed is endlessly replayable and enormously satisfying with its appetising composition of big guns, big challenge, and even bigger rewards.
I cannot express enough how much I enjoyed this game. It does require you to be a fan of both point-and-click and platform games, but if you are, then this is an absolule diamond-studded must buy.
Book of Demons is hard to recommend to either casual and hardcore players. Instead of being a simpler dungeon crawling experience that newcomers could enjoy, it's instead bland and unintuitive. You're better off trying out already established ARPGs, while waiting for the upcoming releases of Diablo IV and Torchlight III that are looking to offer far more interesting gameplay.
A would-be bland, but harmless kids' platformer that, due to insulting levels of gameplay padding, crosses over into dreadful territory. Truly, it's hard to imagine anyone enjoying this tedious, personality-devoid bore of a game.
A solid game at its core but lacks the content remain engaging in the long term.
Grimvalor is a side-scrolling platformer for people who love the challenge that the Dark Souls series entails, but hate the punishing gameplay that comes along with it. Despite its lacklustre story, the gameplay is fast, fluid and constantly evolving to keep things engaging until the very end.
There was an opportunity here to take this classic story and use it as the backbone for an engrossing game worthy of the material. Sadly, the developer only went halfway with this, resulting in an adaptation about split personalities having its own crippling identity crisis.
A funny social commentary trapped between frustration and poor game design.
Overall this was a fun title that I enjoyed my time with.
New Horizons is simply the best Animal Crossing game to date. New features have been expertly developed, the pacing is perfect whilst retaining the magical charm the series has always been based upon. The latest in a growing line of must-own Switch titles.
Overall this is a nice title and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun but short game.
