I liked The Final Station’s pixelated graphics and its gameplay mechanics. The story is drip-fed here and there during your travels, and it’s a bleak one. Did I have fun writing my The Final Station review? Certainly! That’s why I can definitely recommend that you give this one a go on your PlayStation 4 if you’re looking for a new survival game.

I loved my time with Headlander. It’s 70s sci-fi inspired aesthetic, tight Metroidvania gameplay and crazy “dock your head on other bodies” mechanics have been keeping me happy for a while. As I did my Headlander review I kept thinking about how varied Double Fine’s output is. The studio has given us adventure games, action games, Russian nestling dolls games, and games that are the most metal ever. I can’t wait to see what the studio does next, and I highly recommend that you give this one a go today.

The game is fast and furious and full of traps, so a lot of practice and trial and error is required. It looks great and features very fun music. The game is brutal, but in a good way, and it will keep you busy for hours as you try to complete every level and aim at getting all trophies. I had a blast playing this one for my 10 Second Ninja X review, and I’ll keep on practicing to get even better!

We are getting another strong entry in The Legend of Heroes series thanks to Trails of Cold Steel II and a strong follow up that takes everything the first one did right and making it better. I’m really excited to see where things go in the next entry, because after writing my he Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II review I’m certainly ready for more!

84% - Inversus
Sep 23, 2016

It was fun playing this one for my Inversus review, and I’m definitely going back to it to unlock every single trophy! It’s great for a few rounds or for extended gaming sessions, so I highly recommend that you buy it today for your PS4 collection. The online side of things might not be completely there, but get a bunch of friends together (either at home or by online) and you will have a blast with Inversus.

And that is Criminal Girls 2: Party Favors. It is certainly better than the first one. The graphics are absolutely superb, and some players will get a kick out of all the imagery. The story is quite interesting, and the dungeon crawling elements are fun. Did I have fun playing the game for my Criminal Girls 2: Party Favors review? Certainly. Where there some elements that I didn’t like due to the game’s nature? Definitely. But that doesn’t mean I can appreciate what the game does right. If you liked the first game in the series, then you’re going to slowly crawl towards it and like it.

84% - Metrico +
Sep 20, 2016

Did I have fun playing this game? Certainly! Writing my review for Metrico+ was a nice change of pace from the other games I've been reviewing lately. It's minimalist look, and excellent soundtrack kept me focused on the puzzles at hand at all times, and made it easier to go back to previous areas to grab some of the trophies and collectibles I was missing. You can't go wrong with Metrico+, and I hope you add this stellar game to your PlayStation 4 collection today!

MeiQ: Labyrinth of Death is a must have game. It is exciting, fun, and features dozens of hours of content. I had a great time exploring its world for my MeiQ: Labyrinth of Death review, and I’ll be going back to it to make a run for its Platinum trophy!

We liked the gorgeous hand-drawn visual style of this Jotun: Valhalla Edition, and liked the gameplay as well. The game took a while to make it to the PlayStation 4, but the wait has been worth it. Having a full trophy list is always a plus, and it will be interesting to see how many manage 100% it. We both enjoyed our time with the game for our Jotun: Valhalla Edition review, and look forward to returning to its fantasy setting very soon.

I had an absolute blast playing through the campaign mode. I would have liked if there was a proper/easier solo campaign mode, but the main campaign can be done solo with just you controlling two chefs. It is a fun little cooking, funny, quirky and certainly original, and I greatly enjoyed my time with the game to write my Overcooked review. Are you ready to battle it out in the kitchen?

Nebulous is a fun puzzle game with good graphics and funny banter. The puzzles are great and they kept me entertained as I wrote my Nebulous review, but I do feel that maybe the game would be a better fit for the PS Vita.

Final Thoughts The graphics are great, and I really liked the 1970’s art style! Those of you who manage to finish the main campaign will unlock an endless mode as a reward, offering you more content to enjoy. I was really tested by this game for my Laser Disco Defenders review, especially with its trophy list – which, unfortunately, does not include a Platinum trophy.

90% - Brut@l
Sep 12, 2016

Brut@al is a brilliant game. There are 26 random levels which ramp up in difficulty at a steady pace, with the final level pitting you against the Guardian of Dungeon. While the game can be a little repetitive and frustrating due to its nature, you’ll love every minute of it – the game is highly addictive. I had a lot of fun playing it for my Brut@l review as I tried to get all trophies to unlock a new shiny Platinum for my collection.

I played the game for several hours for my Energy Hook review, so you didn’t have to. I just cannot recommend this game in its current state, but things might change if a patch or two are implemented to reign in the game’s camera. Have you played Energy Hook? Let us know in the comments below!

Bit Dungeon+ is a hell of a game. I had a lot of fun playing this one on the TV and on the Wii U Gamepad for my Bit Dungeon+ review. For some reason, the graphics looked different between the TV and the Wii U GamePad. Things seemed way darker on the Wii U GamePad, but that’s about the only complain I can have about this great release.

And now, let’s talk about the differences between the Wii U and the 3DS versions of Defend your Crypt. Gameplay is fundamentally the same in both versions, and the TV on the Wii U is pretty much just a display of what you’re doing on the Wii U GamePad where you have to focus as you play. Defend Your Crypt looks much better on the Wii U Gamepad than on the 3DS since it’s shown at a higher resolution. The 3DS version does not use the 3D effect, so you can’t activate it at all. Overall they’re both great and very fun, so you should pick the one you want. Do you do most of your gaming at home? Then get the Wii U version. Do you game on the go? Then add this very fun digital game to your 3DS collection.

I’ve spent dozens of hours playing both games for my Dead Island Definitive Collection review, and it certainly has been a fun time! There’s still plenty for me to do in each game s they’re huge releases, and unlocking both Platinum trophies is certainly something currently on my to-do list. I highly recommend that you purchase this collection as it offers great value for a very low cost.

I really liked Dungeon Punks. It is a gorgeous 2D game with hand-drawn cel-shaded graphics with a good level of polish, and a lot of fun to be had. I played the game for hours for my Dungeon Punks review, and I will be going back until I get that Platinum!

Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Forces is a great release. The graphics are very polished, the voice acting is excellent, and dual audio is available for all of you to enjoy! What is even better is that the music is by famous composer Nobuo Uematsu. What more could you possibly want in a JRPG? Fingers crossed sales do well enough to warrant another Fairy Fencer F game for us to enjoy! I had a blast playing the game for my Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Forces review, and I’m still going strong towards the Platinum trophy!
