Berserk and The Band of The Hawk is certainly a nice change from the regular Dynasty Warriors games- It was a pleasant surprise and something I greatly enjoyed. The source material makes for a very entertaining story in the main campaign mode, and it kept me playing for several hours straight at a time! There is a lot of content and plenty of extra modes to keep you playing for a while… not to mention a Platinum trophy that will certainly require dozens of hours to secure!
Fun and solid roguelike six-degree-of-freedom shooter
Zen Pinball 2 – Star Wars Pinball: Rogue One is a great addition to the Zen Pinball 2 family. It is a sound table that enthusiasts will certainly enjoy. It also shows that experimentation is still very much a thing for the pinball table designers at Zen Studios. If you’re a pinball fan, this is a very fun table. But if you’re a Star Wars fan, then this is certainly a must-have release for your Zen Pinball 2 collection.
You’re either going to love or hate Double Dragon IV and its old-school vibe. If you’re a fan of the NES releases in the series and have always wanted more, then you’re going to love this new one. If, on the other hand, you didn’t grow up playing 8-Bit games and favor flashy 3D graphics and games that are 12+ hours long, then you better stay far away from this one. As someone who enjoyed the Double Dragon games back I the day, I had a lot of fun with this new one and I look forward to seeing what Ark System Works does with the series.
Is Zenith a good option for action RPG fans looking for something to play on PS4? It depends. Do you like dry and sarcastic humor? Do you enjoy when games make fun of other games? Do you hate barrels? If you answered yes to these questions, then you should definitely dive into Zenith!
While I did like the futuristic cyberpunk feel of the game, and the graphics are quite nice and stylish, but the bugs, the lack of a proper map, and the control scheme get in the way of what could have been a solid PS4 release. Perhaps a patch or two down the road might fix the game, but right now I can’t recommend this one.
We both had a lot of fun with iO. We're big fans of puzzle/platformers (and platformers/puzzlers) and this release on PS4 and Vita does the genre justice. There's plenty of content to play, not to mention a ton of hard levels that will leave you scratching your head for a bit as they almost demand perfection from you. We highly recommend that you give this one a go either on PS4 and Vita since we're sure you're going to love it.
Semisphere is a solid puzzle game, and it’s worth your time and money, It a relaxing experience that is perfect after a lousy day at school or work so that you can kick back and relax as you play to your heart’s content.
I could go on and on about other cool stuff that Seraph does right, such as its Daily Challenges, Survival, or the Rebirth option which allows you to be reborn with permanent boosts to your stats at the cost of losing everything else, but all of these extra elements are things you have to experience on your own. Seraph is a fun PS4 release with solid gameplay mechanics and plenty of content to keep you busy. Some of you might feel that the game’s gameplay is a bit repetitive, so be sure to check a couple of videos if the trailer in this Seraph review does not immediately grab your attention.
Linelight is a very polished and minimalist puzzle game that is highly addictive and extremely fun. There’s a lot of fun to be had with this game, so I definitely recommend that you buy it today on PS4. I had a blast with Linelight, and I can’t wait to see what My Dog Zorro does next!
Crystal Rift is a game that pays homage to old-school dungeon crawlers, and it shows in its gameplay mechanics, dungeon layouts and puzzles. It’s a fun diversion on PS4 that has a few wrinkles here and there that keep it from being a more solid release. Trophy hunters will love the relatively straight forward trophy list with no missables, as well as its budget price. PS VR support is definitely a plus and something that does add extra value to this release.
This was a very entertaining game that I'm happy I got a chance to write my Hue review. The color changing mechanic might not be completely original, but the way it is presented and executed in Hue makes is certainly different. The game is a bit on the short side since you can finish it in 4-6 hours with another hour or two at most for collecting the beakers. I highly recommend that you play this one either on PS4 or PS Vita so that you can enjoy it at home or on the go, especially since it supports cross-save between both versions.
It’s been great playing the game for this Mekazoo review. It’s a fun and fast-paced platformer with a dynamic and interesting main gameplay mechanic that grows on you. If features great level design and a good challenge with a slow and steady difficulty curve that will never feel overwhelming. If you’re in the mood for a modern platformer on PS4, then be sure to give this one a spin!
All in all, Hunter’s Legacy is a fantastic game with a lot to offer. The art style and music are top-notch and give this game a very interesting look and feel. I highly recommend Hunter’s Legacy for all you Metroidvania fans since it’s a very polished release you’ll certainly enjoy.
That’s as fast as I’ll go for the story of this pair of episodes that get Season 3 started in the right direction. Rest assured that Clementime has some great moments in this new season, and that the updated Telltale Games engine makes this the best looking The Walking Dead release from the beloved studio. If you’ve already completed the first two seasons in the game (and Michonne), then you’ve been anxiously waiting for this new release and are probably almost done with both episodes. But if you’re new to the series, The Walking Dead: A New Frontier is still a good point from which to experience The Walking Dead universe. I highly recommend that you play this one on PS4 right away so that you’re ready for the third episode which will be releasing soon.
I was surprised by how much I liked Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers. It’s definitely very different from the Dynasty Warriors games we usually get. The change from hack and slash to turn-based battles is very interesting, not to mention it allows the story to shine. Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers is definitely worth your time, especially if you’re a fan of, say, the Final Fantasy Tactics games.
Knee Deep is a very good adventure game with a solid story and plenty of replay value thanks to its multiple endings. Each of the three acts clocks in at roughly two hours, so you’re looking at six hours to complete the game once. I loved the game’s story, setting and presentation, and I highly recommend it to PS4 owners.
BlazBlue: Central Fiction is being billed as the last entry in the BlazBlue series… ever. We’ll see if that ends up being true. I have a feeling it might just be that this is the end of this massive story arc, and that a new entry in the series will come in a couple of years with a lot of new characters and some fan favorites making a return. Think of it as the Street Fighter III approach, and it sorta makes sense. Either way, if this does end up being the last BlazBlue game, then the series is going out on a high note with the best looking game in the series – and one with a ton of content and story to enjoy. This is a must-have for fighting game fans and a no-brainer for big fans of the BlazBlue franchise.
Sylvio is an interesting PS4 release where sound plays a key part. The game is very creepy, and you need to be careful as you enter each new area so that you don’t end up dead. Exploring a location as you try to find clues to solve the puzzles is very rewarding. There’s some moments where you might feel lost not knowing what you need to do next, but if you keep track of what is added with every new recording you’ll always find your way. This is a PS4 game you definitely have to try!
Supermagical is a very fun puzzle game that you’re going to love on PS Vita. There’s a lot of content to enjoy and many collectibles to get with your hard earned coins, making this a highly addictive release you won’t be able to put down until the end. There’s some mild stuttering and slowdown at some points in the game (which the developer is fixing with a patch soon), but it certainly was not a deal-breaker for me since I kept coming back for more.
