9 / 10 - Voez
Mar 28, 2017

VOEZ on the Nintendo Switch is a very fun, hectic and fast-paced rhythm game. I loved the song selection but, as expected, your mileage may vary. The game is certainly easy to play but hard to master, especially if you want to unlock every Diary entry. Unlike its mobile counterpart on iOS and Android, which is an F2P release with microtransactions to permanently unlock songs, the Switch version features a single $24.99 price for the game and all songs, in the end making it a better value. With 100+ songs, you’ll spend hours playing before you’ve enjoyed all of them at least once!

8 / 10 - NeuroVoider
Mar 27, 2017

NeuroVoider is a fun game on PS4 that those of you who love twin-stick shooters will get to enjoy. The roguelike elements are not for everyone but if you enjoy having to start over when your run is over, you’ll certainly feel at home with this one. The daily challenges will keep you coming back for more, and some of you might even enjoy that part of the game the most!

Chaos Code: New Sign of Catastophe is a fun remaster of the PS3 release for those PS4 owners who missed this the first time around. It's a sound fighter that doesn't do anything particularly new. The lack of a graphical upgrade might rub some people the wrong way, but it's certainly a game you need to play thanks to its budget price.

9 / 10 - 88 Heroes
Mar 22, 2017

88 Heroes is a highly addictive and very funny game. The visuals are great, and other than the few complaints I’ve mentioned, it’s a very solid game. The 88 heroes are a diverse cast, and each has very different personalities and traits. The game is absolutely worth the price of admission since you’ll have a ton of fun with this one. Be sure to pick this one up on PS4, and do let me know who your favorite heroes are!

The game is sorta short, and your mileage will vary. You’re looking at 6-8 hours based on skill and if you search every corner of each area. There are some particularly challenging sections, where you can expect to die a fair few times. This game also supports all modes of play, be that Handheld mode, TV mode or Tabletop mode. So if you’re looking for a great take on a beloved classic for your new Nintendo Switch, be sure to download Blaster Master Zero today!

I had a lot of fun with Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment, and I’d rate it as high if not even higher than Shovel Knight: Shovel of Truth. The level design suits the dark feel of this new campaign, and the added gameplay features make the whole experience feel very fresh. As always, Virt’s (Jake Kaufman) soundtrack is top notch and perfectly fits the action. I highly recommend that you play Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment today – for the best value be sure to grab Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove on Nintendo Switch!

Cursed Castilla is a very fun homage to old-school action platformers of ages past. It does good by the games that had an influence over it, such as Ghosts 'n Goblins, Black Tiger, and Shinobi, to name a few, while still being very much a different game altogether. Its mix of mythology from several cultures with a noted main influence from Spain's own mythology gives this a very interesting twist. If you're looking for a hardcore action platformer on PS4, you should definitely check out Cursed Castilla!

The game is certainly very challenging, but its graphics are still top-notch, as is the case for the fantastic music of Virt (Jake Kaufman). Yacht Club Games have given us a fun follow-up to Shovel Knight: Shovel of Truth. This new campaign is just as big as the first one, so you’ll be spending several hours playing everything the game can throw at you.

7 / 10 - DYING: Reborn
Mar 14, 2017

DYING: Reborn is a flawed game with good intentions. Gameplay feels clunky and outdated, and the voice acting, unfortunately, fails to put you into a terrifying experience. But the game did keep me busy and won me over with its smart puzzle design, which is the core of the game and the most important part.

Shovel Knight: Shovel of Truth is a very fun game and one that is a must-have for Nintendo Switch owners. The game's graphics and music are superb, and the game's challenging levels and bosses will keep you busy for several hours. The game can be played while docked, in handheld mode and tabletop mode, so you will always be ready to take on the game wherever you are.

9 / 10 - Death Squared
Mar 9, 2017

Death Squared is definitely a game worth your time and money. The main campaign is fun and has a lot of levels to complete, not to mention the two extra modes available along with it. The more people you can have for each gaming session the more hectic things will be… but you’ll also have more fun! So if you want a co-op and MP puzzle/platformer on PS4, you should give Death Squared a look.

9 / 10 - Ys Origin
Mar 8, 2017

I liked climbing the demonic tower in my playthrough and particularly loved the near-perfect level design and the solid gameplay. The bosses were creative and I liked figuring how to affect them. While the story wasn't that great, the other aspects of this game are reason enough for me to highly recommend Ys Origin to every RPG lover looking for a great and to the point experience – for a normal run you're looking at around 10-15 hours at most.

The Danganronpa games are wonderful visual novels with excellent casts of characters, so I highly recommend that you give Danganronpa 1-2 Reload a go on PS4. This is especially important since that way you can prepare for the release of Danganronpa 3 later in the year!

After reading my The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild review you can better understand how this is a big departure from the regular formula of the franchise, and it makes this the best game in the series. There is so much to do and so many ways to do it that the sky is the limit. Different players will approach puzzles in a different way, and the game won’t say “no you can’t do it like that” to you. With so much freedom, a ton of shrines to explore, many siquests to complete and lots of secrets to discover, you can spend well over 100 hours playing the latest release from Nintendo on your brand new Nintendo Switch. This is a must-buy for all Nintendo Switch owners and a game that will be on many GOTY lists.

Horizon Zero Dawn is an incredible game. It is so easy to end up immersed in Aloy’s world as time stands still. The game’s story is great and offers several twists and surprises. And even though I mentioned it at the start of my Horizon Zero Dawn review, this is certainly one of the best-looking games on the PS4, no question. I highly recommend this game, and if you have a PS4 Pro, you’ll enjoy even better visuals that will rock your world!

8 / 10 - Loot Rascals
Mar 2, 2017

Loot Rascals is a game that oozes charm and character. It features bright and vibrant visuals with excellent character design and a soundtrack that fits perfectly. But behind that cute exterior is a very challenging game that will test your skills to their fullest. If you’re up for the challenge, be sure to give this one a try on PS4!

A wide variety of conversation options, an incredible story, and generally excellent visuals means that Torment: Tides of Numenera is a great game with a huge replay value to it. But would I go back again? Probably, but just not right away.

9 / 10 - Chime Sharp
Feb 27, 2017

I liked Chime Sharp a lot. This feels like a game I could come back to repeatedly over the next year for a quick game or two. Its gameplay is quick and frantic but fun and elegant at the same time. I just wished they had spent a bit more time going over how to play the game and the rules in a tutorial, but it’s not a deal-breaker.
