Europa Universalis 5 isn't just an evolution, it's a true rebirth. Paradox has modernized its classic without losing its soul, delivering a deeper and more dynamic historical simulation than ever before. The game feels more alive, clearer, and more coherent, with reworked systems for population, trade, and warfare that add incredible depth. Sure, it's still complex and can slow down in the late game, but the journey is worth it. Every decision matters, every century tells a new story, and when you finally close the map after dozens of hours, it truly feels like you've shaped history.

There are no surprises with the Dragon Quest 1 & 2 Remake compilation. The two games retain all the charm of the originals, enhanced by the ever-delightful HD-2D graphics, and are enriched with new stories, activities and events. While the two games are not exactly equal, the gameplay adjustments and new features modernise two episodes that were in dire need of an update. It's impossible not to succumb immediately to the charm of this duo, which is as addictive as a delicious treat.

In every way, Hades 2 is a masterful sequel. Melinoe's adventure surpasses Zagreus's in absolutely every way: more robust and enjoyable gameplay; more diverse progression that offers an infinite number of ways to complete a run, each as satisfying as the next; titanic content literally doubled compared to the original title; divine artistic direction, Supergiant Games offers us yet another Boon worthy of the gods.

Supermassive Games has successfully captured the world of Nulle-part while enriching it, both through its narrative and its duo dynamics. Little Nightmares 3 shines with its anxiety-inducing atmosphere, its meticulous direction, and a soundtrack that carefully punctuates each tense moment. The gameplay, meanwhile, constantly renews its rhythm so as never to tire us. We move from captivating exploration to infiltration, passing through more intense moments of action. We regret some inaccuracies in the handling and some room for optimization in terms of performance. But, overall, this third installment is a success that should be even more appreciated by two players, provided you play online.

Sucker Punch thus treats us once again to a beautiful epic in feudal Japan, which has nothing to be ashamed of compared to the great Japanese cinema from which it draws inspiration, and is worthy of the most poetic of haiku with a soothing shamisen tune in the background.

Silent Hill f is a work of horror art that drips with love for the genre, the license, and for horror culture.

One year after an episode that attracted a great deal of criticism, EA FC is back with a new version that serves as an apology and a gesture of reconciliation with the players. The result is a more beautiful and immersive game designed to please everyone and frustrate as few players as possible. While the changes made are not revolutionary, they are necessary and provide a much better overall understanding of the game. If it deserves to be judged on its merits, EA FC 26 certainly deserves to be played this year.

Fluid, nervous and wildly addictive, Sonic Racing CrossWorlds has something to delight fans of the genre on all platforms. The only regrets are a rather meager launch roster, as well as a too limited number of Grand Prix circuits, not to mention the Competition Area which will not excite everyone. But, with its promise of hosting regular content over the long term, it has everything to become a new must-have in the racing game landscape.

Dying Light: The Beast attempts to reconnect with the original DNA that many players believed was altered by the second instalment. It features violent and impactful fights, an oppressive soundscape enhanced by Olivier Derivière's compositions, and stressful day/night cycles. This new Dying Light game defies convention to create an even stronger sense of immersion.

Featuring improved graphics, enhanced realism and extended gameplay, NBA 2K26 once again proves itself to be the ultimate basketball video game and the best sports simulation across all consoles. As always, it is essential. However, this year's edition is arguably the most worthwhile release to date.

LEGO Voyagers is a bold and contemplative adventure, which has the merit of attempting something that we hadn't yet encountered in the brand's catalog. The whole thing is sumptuous, magnificently served by graphics that will make animation studios envious and an OST that perfectly serves the meditative dimension of the title. On the other hand, it lacks a little something engaging to fully transport us into its proposition.

Borderlands 4 takes a turn that won't please everyone. In an attempt to satisfy some fans' requests, the developers have lost sight of the game's identity. It is less funny and striking than previous episodes, and it is only in its secondary content that we find some small, funny, offbeat stories. It's only after a few hours, or when playing in co-op with friends, that the game really comes into its own. Borderlands 4 is extremely generous and will keep you hooked for hours before you even reach the endgame. While it's undoubtedly a good shooter-looter, it's clearly not the best game in the Borderlands series.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Zelda Breath of the Wild is undoubtedly the best way to enjoy this masterpiece. Again, it's impossible to deny yourself the pleasure despite the notable absence of small new features that could have been a welcome bonus. If you're in the process of finishing the game or haven't had a chance to dive into it yet, now's the time. With its pinpoint resolution, exemplary fluidity, and an overall improvement in all its graphics, it's a real treat. A pristine gem from the Nintendo Switch 1, which is sublimated here at a lower cost.

Despite prestigious influences like Final Fantasy in its aesthetic and Devil May Cry in its gameplay, Lost Soul Aside clearly doesn't hold a candle to these illustrious licenses. While its combat and progression system are generally solid, if not original, its story is as conventional as possible, its all-encompassing artistic direction lacking coherence, and its very choppy technique, notably suffering from major performance issues, are clearly lacking. A somewhat sad observation for a new Chinese game that exudes the desire to do well, which required a considerable development time of nine years, but at a price that is too high for what it offers as it stands.

Hell is Us is much more than what it lets on in its first few minutes of gameplay. By cleverly combining action, adventure, and challenging puzzle-solving, the title immerses us in a particularly dark and mature atmosphere, underscored by violence inspired by the worst hours of humanity.
