Critic Reviews for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Nintendo Switch 2 Edition
Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is undoubtedly the best way to play one of the greatest games of all time. The visual and performance enhancements remove any issues that you may have had to endure with the original game. It's practically flawless from that perspective.Sadly, the Zelda Notes app really brings the whole thing down. Useful features that should have been implemented in-game have been relegated to your smartphone, and using it completely breaks immersion in this incredible world. I'm only thankful that it's not even remotely mandatory. Leave Zelda Notes to one side, and you've got the definitive presentation of a modern classic.
One of the best video games ever made gets a substantial performance boost on the Switch 2 and provides the perfect opportunity for new players to jump in or for veterans to hoover up every last Korok.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Zelda Breath of the Wild is undoubtedly the best way to enjoy this masterpiece. Again, it's impossible to deny yourself the pleasure despite the notable absence of small new features that could have been a welcome bonus. If you're in the process of finishing the game or haven't had a chance to dive into it yet, now's the time. With its pinpoint resolution, exemplary fluidity, and an overall improvement in all its graphics, it's a real treat. A pristine gem from the Nintendo Switch 1, which is sublimated here at a lower cost.

The Nintendo Switch 2 upgrade of Breath of the Wild is a technically impressive but content-light update. It's a worthy pickup for first-timers, but returning players may find the enhancements underwhelming for a paid upgrade.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will go down as one of the best launch titles of all time. Yes, technically it's a Wii U game that was ported over to the Nintendo Switch, but Nintendo made the right decision in holding this game back. It perfectly compliments the Nintendo Switch and highlights why it has the potential to be such a great and versatile console. Many have doubted Nintendo's ability to bring this series into the modern age of gaming, but they've done that and taken it one step further in creating one of the best open-world action-adventure games ever made.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is the definitive experience of a Switch classic. It has its design flaws and can be a little unrewarding at times, but it excels at rewarding players with an extrinsic experience. If you didn’t love it before, you might be more open to it now. If you already loved it, then you’ll fall in love with it all over again.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is the best version of the game you can play, that is undeniable. This version cleans up all the performance issues that were present on the Nintendo Switch while also giving a nice resolution boost with HDR. The Zelda Notes feature is kind of useless to me but others may find it helpful.
An already amazing game made even better, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is superb in this upgraded format. Technically much more sound and with fun little extras, this is the definitive edition and a killer addition to the Switch 2 library. It's a shame that, ultimately, Zelda Notes is separate from the game, but it does add some great extra content for those willing to download and sync up.
