Gal Metal has a good concept and design, but none of the three controls options modes gives full satisfaction to the player.

With Thronebreaker : The Witcher Tales, Gwent evolves through an exciting adventure that brilliantly enriches the Witcher universe in video games. We regret, however, the classicism of sometimes painful exploration phases.

Four years after its original release, Valiant Hearts celebrates the centenary of the Armistice with this Switch release. With the same strong experience remaining unchanged, it still is a pleasure to (re)discover Emile or Kurt's destinies, tahniks to the beautiful UbiArt Framework. With only two bonuses taking the form of an animated comic book and a regular artbook, Valiant Hearts still deserves another look, whether or not you already experienced it.

Far from a simple 3D "remodelization" for a more powerful, yet still portable home system, Pok'mon : Let's Go not only refreshes the series' very first adventure, but also reflects the long journey since then, by wisely integrating evolutions such as Pokemon Go's capture system or partners in order to improve the modernity, accessibility and conviviality of the formula. A fantastic way to (re)start Pok'mon, and a glorious conclusion for Junichi Masuda as director.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a good compilation with 3 excellent platform games from the first PlayStation. Redone from scratch, the game offers a nice new design but some technical flaws, and the gameplay feels a bit old, but it's still a good nostalgic trip for the whole family this Christmas.

Under its good looks as a true Game Boy hommage, Save me Mr Tako only delivers the bare minimum : its uninspired level design sometimes try to hide a story which you should not give too much attention to. Save me Mr Tako is simply way too classical to face the strong opponents it has to face.

We give The Quiet Man a point because it exists, and some people worked on it, but it is easily one of the biggest trainwrecks of the video games History. Gameplay is awful, narrative is awful... nothing can be saved, and no one would ever have the patience to play it once and then download the New Game Plus DLC that includes sounds to understand something. It's just too painful.

SNK 40th Anniversary Collection is a good compilation of SNK games, which will remind a lot of good memories to the fans of this brand, even if the Vs fighting and run&gun games are missing (find them on the Neo Geo Mini).

Tetris Effect is a musical puzzle game instant hit, a must have for anyone interested in this genre. Unlike so many versions of Tetris before him, it really transforms the formula to make a superb musical trip, and even some kind of sensory journey, able to get you into a second state. Its full compatibility with the PlayStation VR can also bring a higher degree of immersion and you should also try it this way. Apart from the surprising lack of a 2-player mode, we can't see anything wrong with Tetris Effect.

Battlefield V is a good surprise with a new teamplay system (support by intelligent heal mecanics), more destruction, customization and specialization system for weapons and vehicles. Definitively Battlefield V is a monumental shooter desptite a conventional singleplayer (who stay interesting).

Hitman 2 doesn't try to revolutionize the formula of the previous game. And it's totally acceptable as it is still efficient. There's a lot things to do/observe/infiltrate/kill/hide/use in each huge and beautiful level, and it is indeed a great assassin simulation, even if the game has not many things more to offer in terms of gameplay compared to its predecessor, and feels a bit like a "1.5 version". Accept its rules and you will be pleased, for a long time.

11-11 : Memories Retold chooses to tell the story on the ground, through the eyes of simple human beings embedded in a conflict so much bigger than them. French studio DigixArt delivers a memorable adventure, served by a remarkable and right writing and acting, superb impressionist visuals from Aardman Animations, and one of the best soundtrack of the year. Too bad that its core gameplay really lacks of challenge and that there's still some persistent bugs. But there could be no better way to celebrate peace in 2018.

Sports Interactive went further into realism by implementing novelties in particular in the training and the matches with the appearance of VAR for example. In the end, FM 2019 is the perfect representation of German football, which it obtained the licence: efficient, solid, and never disappointing.

Wandersong is a colorful musical platformer which do not bet everyhting on its technical part, but delivers a cheerful fable along its ten hour run. However, its non-existant challenge will reserve it to short sessions only. But thanks to its cheerful cast of well-written characters, Wandersong let the palyer enjoy nothing but good feelings, thansk to the ever so-satisfying power of music.

Call of Cthulhu is an ode to Lovecraft and fantastic literature, a success in terms of atmosphere with a pleasant artistic part. Sadly, the game is too weak technically speaking. The main quest is interesting but players in search of an RPG with a bit of freedom will probably realize too soon that the game is actually a very linear experience.

The Missing is a Limbo-like game where you have to die to resolve the puzzles. Even if it's too easy to finish and not very convicning technically speaking, this game has a lot to offer in terms of story and atmosphere, brilliant.

If you already both games of this compilation, it's not exactly worth it, as it is mainly Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night in their PSP versions - without the 2.5 version of the first one. But if you've never played those, it's a pleasant, but not very joyful, way to discover them.
