Critic Reviews for Necrosphere Deluxe
In review, Necrosphere Deluxe is a short and hard-as-nails platformer that’ll have you shouting in frustration, but defeating it is very rewarding. The backtracking through previously completed puzzles is frustrating, but hey, at least it gives you more bang for your buck?
An 8 bit twitch platformer with a unique 2 button control scheme that will be polarizing among many players, Necrosphere Deluxe offers a good variety of puzzles and hazards that blend with a metroidvania-styled world to give the game an interesting flow and design that is ready to challenge even the most veteran players.
Necrosphere is a tough, ruthless but fair challenge which takes a shiny new take at the 2D platformer genre by reducing its controls to a strange minimum. With only two buttons to cope with the progressive range of movements, players will have to learn how to master the game's mecanics. Thank to the addition of an even more hardcore bonus, the main game short's length will keep players awake for more.

Necrosphere Deluxe is game filled with some unique ideas, but the challenge comes from struggling with the controls more than the actual level design.
Overall, Two-Button Metroidvania Necrosphere Deluxe is a good platformer. The game is simple and difficult, has good map design, and an amazing soundtrack. Controls can get difficult to use and it is easy to get lost in the game but overall a good play. This game is great for both intense and casual players. A good addition to my collection.
Given the two-button controls, it would have been nice to at least be able to map the buttons in a specific way. As it is, only masochists need apply for this one. I'm ready to tap out.
Necrosphere Deluxe is a ruthless game, and many of those who try to venture into it may never have the pleasure of getting to its end. Even so, it is a title that despite its flaws deserves to be played. If you're a fan of the ultra-tough 90s platform games and are looking for a similar challenge today, Necrosphere Deluxe is the perfect game for you.

Although Necrosphere Deluxe features simplified yet challenging 2D platforming gameplay, it's a very short game that can be a bit too frustrating at times.
