LevelUp's Reviews
EA Sports FC 25 marks a turning point for the better in the renewed soccer franchise. Of course, it drags some vices from the past, but it is far from those disastrous moments or those that showed a lack of interest by the followers of this type of game. We can say that foundations are being built for a total football experience that satisfies casual and demanding players, and that is saying a lot, as it breaks with the mediocre period of recent years. We are sure that this year's installment will entertain you more and that you will shout each goal with emotion as if it were real, so, believe it or not, there are more good than bad this year. Happy start of the soccer season!

Echoes of Wisdom is a solid game with fantastic ideas that will force you to reprogram that Legend of Zelda brain you've been shaping over years and years of practice. Grezzo has created an experience worth trying and a journey no fan of the franchise will regret starting. That being said, we can't ignore the fact that there are several elements in the game's design that fall short because they don't reach the level of maturity we see in era-defining games

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is the triumphant return of one of the best zombie games of all time. While the survivor missions and psychopath battles could have been improved, this is, without a doubt, the best version of Capcom's classic thanks to its updated graphics and gameplay enhancements. A must for new players and veteran fans alike.

The Plucky Squire was worth the wait; it's the definition of indie perfection: it has a lot of quality, heart, soul, innovation and charm. Thanks to the characters, their personality, the world and all the creative things it does constantly, it has become one of our games of the year and one that we will remember with a lot of love.

NBA 2K25 shows that Visual Concepts has not been stunned in its comfort zone and the goal is still to grow, test new technologies and offer the most content in a sports game. In terms of gameplay, new systems and customization of the experience, this year's installment is on another level and can easily look over the shoulder of other IPs. The gaming experience is rewarding and playing one game, and another, and another becomes addictive as this is one of the best controls ever created.

Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is a beautiful and nostalgic tribute that revives 7 iconic fighting games. Although the lack of additional modes and cross-play limits its potential, it remains an excellent option for both veteran and new players. Still, we can't help but feel that Capcom could have done more to make it the ultimate collection

Episode Aigis: The Answer respects the original content, which some will like and others don't, but it also fixes some of the original aspects that people didn't like about the DLC, like the lack of the compendium and having no control over your party, making it the best way to experience this epilogue.

Konami decided to unearth 3 of its most valuable jewels and make them available to us in a single package. M2 was the studio in charge of making the necessary adjustments so that the games are optimally adapted to the new platforms. Thus we can enjoy an experience almost identical to the original and even some improvements. Castlevania Dominus Collection is one of the best collections to date that also includes valuable and interesting extras.

ASTRO BOT is fantastic. It is one of those videogames that knows how to follow a direction and fully commits to make you fall in love with the purest fun. Although it is clear that this is a videogame made by and for fans of the Japanese brand, it is also a celebration of what this medium represents and all those incredible moments that it has made us spend from childhood to adulthood. It is a game that celebrates being a videogame to remind us why we love this medium so much.

Madden NFL 25 is far from the feat, but there is finally an improvement in one important area: gameplay and physics. If this is the way, in the coming years we could see the best version of the franchise in the next years. Of course, the presence of more content is desired, especially in terms of game modes and notable changes in modes such as Franchise and Superstar, but that would be naive knowing the slump from which the IP is emerging. In the end, and just condemning the constant and annoying Ultimate Team ads, we have a good football game for this year's season and that, in this case, is very good news.

Visions of Mana has a great gift: it's a game that understood perfectly what it was meant to be: an adventure faithful to the franchise. So the developers went to the roots of Seiken Densetsu to understand exactly what it was that made it such a beloved series in the Super Famicom years. In doing so, they created an adventure that expresses feelings of nostalgia, but at the same time reminds us that the medium has come on leaps and bounds in the last 30 years.

Concord has a solid foundation and interesting ideas; however, its bland cast of characters and lack of innovation make it a generic and unappealing hero shooter destined to fail, especially considering its $40 USD price tag. It's not a bad game, but is something much worse: an unnecessary product that fails to understand the market it competes in. Simply put, there are better and more enjoyable free alternatives out there

Emio – The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club is an intriguing option for Nintendo Switch users looking for a mature and dark story. The game allows players to find a wide cast of characters, any of whom might be considered suspects at any moment, and gives the chance to analyze every action and word from them to advance in their investigation. Despite some obstacles posed by its interface, the title offers an engaging experience for those seeking a memorable adventure.

Star Wars Outlaws is an epic journey worth living. It's an adventure that not only captures all those elements that have made Star Wars one of the most beloved franchises in all of entertainment, but also feels like a new era for Ubisoft. After several content bloated releases and a tired formula, it delivers a journey that lasts as long as it needs to and replaces tedious mechanics with systems that reward you for doing what matters most: having fun.

Although Black Myth: Wukong is an uneven game, its strong points overshadow the negatives. It is an intense combat experience that shines brightest during numerous and challenging boss fights. However, the level design leaves much to be desired due to its clumsiness and lack of inspiration, which sharply cuts off the feeling of exploration. Despite all this, it is a challenging and recommendable game for its unique Eastern flavor.

SNK vs Capcom: SVC CHAOS returns straight from the arcades as a re-release with few new features. A game that went unnoticed but shines for its characters and solid control. SNK vs Capcom: SVC CHAOS has a broken balance and that can't be changed but playing it is a lot of fun. The opportunity to play it online gives it a lot of value and fortunately it works perfectly. Other than that, this version has little else to offer and the game is starting to feel old. A few image tweaks and other improvements would make this game more valuable in its comeback.

Gestalt: Steam & Cinder has all the things that make a good metroidvania; even though it doesn't take many risks, it has a solid floor and a well balanced gameplay. The story stops the flow of the game a few times, but the great combat, exploration and progression compensates it.

Shadow of the Erdtree shines as a fitting conclusion to ELDEN RING, encapsulating every element that has characterized FromSoftware. You'll encounter swampy sections, sweat-inducing combat, beautiful and melancholic locations, and challenging platform segments featuring leaps of faith, scaffolding, and chapel rooftops. Striving to deliver all the classic elements of the Souls saga, Shadow of the Erdtree stands as a love letter to everything the series represents and serves as a worthy farewell to an already legendary game.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is set to become the definitive edition of Shin Megami Tensei V. Some of its changes may be insufficient to fix the original's biggest problems, but it does an incredible job of elevating it and bringing it that much closer to reaching its potential. ATLUS did it again and delivered a re-release that's worth checking out regardless of whether you finished the original game or if it's just your first approach.

It seems that Codemasters' plan is to revolutionize its F1 franchise every 2 years and this season we saw minimal changes. However, the result is still outstanding and although it is necessary to correct some details, it is, today, the best Formula 1 game. The career mode is a great success and in itself is worth it to start the engine of the car. compete on the top circuit. It may cause division between realism enthusiasts and casuals in its released state, but not everything has been said. Despite this, in general it is, once again, one of the best sports games of the year.
