Thank Goodness You're Here is like a season of a British cartoon, a series of linked episodes in which you're constantly being pelted with jokes. And the game looks great, and the humor in it is good, and the characters are funny, and there are a lot of interactive moments as well. It's a unique project, made with great love for English culture, and a great way to cheer yourself up - whether you understand British humor or not.

Dungeons 4: The Good, the Bad and the Evil DLC offers even more goodness… or should we say badness? It is not too long or drawn out, the humor is on par with previous games in the series and preserves the unique satirical atmosphere of Dungeons. However, it is also more of the same. If you have enjoyed the base game and simply want more of it, you will love the DLC. But if you were looking for something equally Evil but also totally new? You will not find it here.

In short, it's no surprise that Shadow of the Erdtree has received mixed reviews and I've had mixed experiences with it. Shadow of the Erd Tree is a double dose of everything that's good about Elden Ring, plus a dose of FromSoftware isn't-so-great stuff. And 25 hours of play is clearly not enough for me to form an impression of such a contrasting gaming experience. The game is interesting, exciting, but I think that we already need something new.

9 / 10.0 - Galacticare
Jul 1, 2024

Galacticare is a very pleasant tycoon that doesn't force you to pause the game to attend to a million little annoying things. Neither is it a very complex game, where a single mistake might bury your hospital for good and send you to the "Game Over" screen. It is a leisurely, unhurried but enticing overall.

The Final Shape is the best thing that has ever happened to Destiny 2. I can only imagine the Herculean work that went into the expansion, and I'm grateful for all the emotions I've received. There are a lot of great additions to talk about: Transcendence, new weapons, new enemies, new mechanics, the Pale Heart zone… To sum it up, Bungie completed the main story in such a way that makes one want to believe in it.

9 / 10.0 - Paper Trail
May 21, 2024

Paper Trail is a game that intertwines the protagonist and her ability to warp the world. That makes the discussion surprisingly spoiler-heavy. So, instead of detailing all of the upcoming challenges that await Paige, I’ll simply say that I am utterly enamored with a wonderful story. Pulling together well-worn story tropes, plunging an eager young explorer out into a new world, and crafting a vibrant new land that is equal parts exciting and dangerous, the team behind this puzzler manages simple ideas executed effectively and provides players with seemingly endless possibilities, that stick to a tight path forward. It doesn’t add up to a hugely replayable experience or explore the freedom that Viewfinder’s 3D model provides, but it is a delightfully illustrated story. I couldn’t be happier to have ushered in a holiday to the home of origami with this cozy creation.

9 / 10.0 - Hades II
May 20, 2024

Hades II still has the same style of roguelike, improved in literally every aspect. The story has become larger. Now you don't just run away from home in search of your mother, while simultaneously improving Hades' relationship with his brothers and helping him understand himself. No, this time you need to save your family from imprisonment by the Titan of Time, regain the throne of the Underworld and stop the siege of Olympus. It feels like there is three times more content than in the first part. It's a must-have for RPG/roguelike gamers everywhere!

Announced a few months ago, No Rest for the Wicked is reminiscent of games like Diablo and Hades, and FromSoftware games, and also takes nice things from other series. It's not as cute and fluffy as Ori, but while the tone and atmosphere is significantly darker, you can see some similarities in the highly detailed, "painterly" graphics that I can't compare to any other game.

8 / 10.0 - Beat Slayer
Apr 3, 2024

Beat Slayer’s gorgeous style drew us into this underground fight club, but the razor-sharp combat systems and constant gameplay updates keep things from feeling overly repetitive. If you ever wondered what an electronica take on Hades would look like, then come kick Deitrich’s ass in Beat Slayer.

Frivolous, farty, and gloriously chaotic but not the best episode of South Park. Snow Day is a mix of ideas all balled up into an action brawler. if you and your friends love South Park then some genuinely inspired moments make this worth taking the time to play.

7.7 / 10.0 - The Thaumaturge
Mar 13, 2024

Clearly, Fool's Theory wanted to create a game that prioritized story, an uncluttered setting, and charismatic characters. And the studio succeeded. True, it is noticeable that they wanted a larger scope, but either there was not enough money or time. Closer to the end, even the animations seem very meager, and the endings seem chaotic. Overall, however, the team has succeeded in what they set out to do. With the success of The Thaumaturge, we can only hope they build on it and create the game of their dreams in their next outing.

8.5 / 10.0 - Last Epoch
Mar 12, 2024

Last Epoch is an impressive aRPG that features a web of interconnected systems and activities. The game's time in Steam Early Access served its purpose and, rough launch and some rougher edges notwithstanding, it delivers a smooth and enjoyable experience. Not as simple as Diablo 4, and not as complex as Path of Exile, Last Epoch has something for everyone, from the casual dungeon divers to the minmax lovers ready to chase that elusive stat.

8 / 10.0 - New Star GP
Mar 8, 2024

At it’s core, New Star GP is an arcade racer. If you revelled in the audacity of Hotshot Racing, then this doesn’t stray too far from that track. There aren’t any big boss bombs, but it does park up with an audacious swagger that invites players to simply jump in and go. The brash colors, silly moustaches, and easy action steering make this an entertaining option, especially when handheld. The magnitude of the Career Mode and the strategic decisions, such as pit stops are meaningful but not obtrusive. New Star GP is just fun! It’s a great mix of ideas, tuned to perfection. GO, go, go to the official website and get it now.

Zoria: Age of Shattering is a product of love and passion from Tiny Trinket Games. The game features a deep narrative, complex tactical combat, base building, and so much more. However, the lack of QoL-features brings it down: the highs are exhilarating, but the lows can feel a bit too draining.
