Anno 117: Pax Romana improves on the older titles and while the campaign wasn't that captivating in the end, the sandbox mode works like a charm and glued us to our pc for hours.

As an entry in the Warriors series, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment delivers a strong impression. Aside from the genre-typical, highly exaggerated attacks — which at times resemble Dragon Ball more than Zelda — the game succeeds in capturing the essence of the Zelda franchise through its visuals, sound design, and storytelling. Remarkably, it manages to do so even without Link at the center of the narrative, offering a refreshing departure from the traditional Zelda formula. However, despite the integration of various systems, items, and upgrades, the title is still hampered by the classic Warriors issue: for much of the experience, gameplay consists of marching almost invincibly across the battlefield, mowing down countless enemies through relentless button-mashing. While this provides a satisfying outlet for fast-paced, mindless action, the game ultimately lacks depth and meaningful puzzles.

7.5 / 10.0 - Football Manager 26
Nov 2, 2025

Football Manager 2026 is a robust and well-crafted new entry in the series, albeit one that comes with a few imperfections. The new in-game engine is a clear step forward, and the refreshed design injects a welcome sense of modernity. However, the stronger focus on consoles is noticeable, and some long-standing PC features no longer function as seamlessly as in previous iterations. Despite these issues, the game’s hallmark strengths — tactical depth, squad dynamics, and long-term engagement — remain as compelling as ever. Veterans of the series will once again find themselves immersed for months, while newcomers are greeted with an impressively intricate and authentic football management simulation. Minor shortcomings aside, Football Manager continues to embody a deep love for the sport. The series’ new direction is evident, yet it remains true to its core identity. That said, it is also clear that the team at Sports Interactive still has considerable work ahead to refine and fully realize this new era of the franchise.

7.7 / 10.0 - Wreckreation
Oct 27, 2025

Wreckreation isn’t a perfect racing game, but it’s an incredibly charming one. It thrives on its atmosphere, music, driving feel, and creativity. It has its flaws, no doubt, but it also possesses that certain something you can’t quite describe—you just have to feel it. If you’re looking for a pure prestige racing experience, you might be better off with Forza or Need for Speed. But if you’re after an honest, handcrafted game with soul—one that simply celebrates the joy of driving—then Wreckreation is absolutely worth a try. A charming and creative racing game made with heart and passion, Wreckreation proves that a game doesn’t need high-end visuals to be fun—it just needs to stand out from the crowd. Add in a touch of nostalgia for the good old Burnout days, and you’ve got something truly special.

7.5 / 10.0 - Ninja Gaiden 4
Oct 21, 2025

Ninja Gaiden 4 offers a thrilling, action-packed experience with a creative arsenal and plenty of visceral combat. However, it drags on with too many on-rails segments, and its generic story and environments keep it from truly pushing the series forward or giving the new ninja enough presence to convincingly take up Ryu’s legendary mantle.

8.5 / 10.0 - Battlefield 6
Oct 20, 2025

The new Battlefield impresses with strong technical performance (despite a few minor flaws) and a cinematic presentation that truly captures the series’ trademark intensity. With Battlefield 2042 now firmly in the past, we can look forward to the franchise’s future with optimism. The key factor will be how EA and DICE handle post-launch content — their support will ultimately decide whether this new Battlefield becomes a lasting success or fades as just another short-lived entry.

We all know this situation: you’re sitting in Discord or TeamSpeak with a friend, your partner, or an acquaintance. You’re talking about games and what you could play together. Naturally, titles like Minecraft or League of Legends come up — but somehow, you’re just not in the mood for those. If you’re looking for a story-driven game to experience together, Little Nightmares 3 is perfect for you. Its dark yet beautiful and richly detailed world will stay with you for days after you finish it. This game turned me into a fan of the series, and I’ll definitely go back to play parts 1 and 2! There’s no greater compliment than that. For this time of year, it’s the perfect game to spend several cozy evenings enjoying with your gaming partner.

When I received the confirmation that I was allowed to review this game, I was “fine” with it. A Digimon game that reminds me of my childhood? A JRPG that might feel a little like Persona? But then came the letdown – the introduction. I was genuinely disappointed and really had to push myself through the first two hours. After the tutorial, however, it turned out to be probably the best JRPG I’ve had the chance to play this year. It’s not just a good Digimon game, but also a truly excellent JRPG with a mature story and beautiful animations.

The gameplay quality of Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 is still beyond doubt even today, and just like back in the Wii days, we had a lot of fun collecting all the stars. With the graphical improvements and smaller additions such as the integrated OST music player and the assist mode, Nintendo has also delivered a bit of added value. However, from our point of view, the asking price is a hindrance to giving an unrestricted purchase recommendation.

Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree is an anime-style action roguelite with plenty of upgrade systems and a charming atmosphere. It doesn’t quite reach Hades’ quality, but genre fans will still have a fun time.

8.7 / 10.0 - Borderlands 4
Sep 11, 2025

Gearbox has found an excellent balance between the typical Borderlands-style humor and a more serious narrative approach. Apart from that, Borderlands 4 doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it does improve on the now 16-year-old formula with more movement options and a largely open-world experience. Unfortunately, when it comes to performance, it still sticks to familiar shortcomings and has yet to fully tap into the potential of Unreal Engine 5. Nevertheless, we once again had a lot of fun looting and are still motivated to keep playing even after finishing our review.

Cronos: The New Dawn seems like the hidden successor to the Dead Space Trilogy that takes us back to its roots. The game offers incredible sound design and a terrifying atmosphere. The amazing graphics come with some fps drops, even in Performance Mode in the PS5. Melee is sadly a joke if you run out of bullets, but the great weapon design makes up for it. The story is also well done with the right amount of scares.

7.8 / 10.0 - Lost Soul Aside
Aug 29, 2025

Lost Soul Aside impressively demonstrates what can emerge from the vision of an ambitious developer, even if outside help eventually became necessary. Unfortunately, the title lags behind the competition in many areas, and although it has borrowed well from the giants of the genre in several aspects, the numerous flaws and the generic use of elements in the story and sound overshadow the otherwise solid foundation

Kirby and the Forgotten Land + The Star Shard World for the Switch 2 is still one of the best games in the series and now even comes with a bit of extra content. However, The Star Shard World doesn’t reinvent the wheel; instead, it offers a very well-made level pack that’s fair enough as a €20 upgrade version. But offering the complete package in the eShop for €80, in our opinion, goes beyond what a game should cost three years after its release.

7.9 / 10.0 - Drag x Drive
Aug 13, 2025

Drag x Drive is a neat tech demo for the Switch 2’s mouse-style controls. However, its replay value is limited, as the mini-games and core basketball gameplay can only entertain for so long.

WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers delivers almost everything a modern Soulslike needs to offer, but unfortunately nothing more than that in any area. The currently severe performance issues on consoles, the repetitive boss mechanics, and the overall too generic presentation significantly diminish the gaming experience. Genre veterans looking for a new kind of challenge may still want to give the title a chance

PATAPON 1+2 REPLAY is still and excellent rhythm game, that aged well. The lack of real new improvements and additions to these games disappoint a bit but for the low price you get two great games in one package and if you haven't played the original games, you should still check it out.

9.1 / 10.0 - Donkey Kong Bananza
Jul 16, 2025

Donkey Kong's triumphant return to 3D delivers an incredibly fun experience. Minor technical issues are easily outweighed by the creative gameplay, the strong presentation and the perfect dose of nostalgia. This is the system seller the Switch 2 needed.
