The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is an ode to the original and provides fans with enough nostalgia in a fresh visual look without losing any of the memes or memories. Unfortunately, the technical aspects cause the frame rate to plummet and the game design often feels very outdated.

Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land takes the series a big step further. Even if the story can't quite keep up with the initial quality, the battles, crafting and characters are convincing through and through. This is probably the best introduction to the long-running JRPG series

Atomfall creates such an unusual world that you can easily get swept up in it. The mystery of the story and the many clues and puzzles keep you entertained if you get involved. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of the close combat and gunfights, but Rebellion has definitely created something unique here.

Two Point Museum still manages to bring a breath of fresh air to the third game, because it is probably the most varied part, which shines with its many areas within a museum. The humour and the great animations are just the cherry on top. But if you haven't enjoyed the genre so far, you won't be buying a season ticket for this museum either.

Doom: The Dark Ages sticks to its roots, offering refined gameplay rather than a reinvention like Doom (2016). The focus on strafing over constant flying through the air is a welcome shift, with difficulty settings helping maintain the series' trademark speed. While the mech sections and soundtrack fall short of previous entries, the game delivers fast-paced, satisfying action complemented by a touch more story and expansive level design.

Spirit of the North 2 is a nice sequel that retains the charm of the first game while skillfully expanding the gameplay. The new skills in conjunction with the raven are fun, the atmosphere and the magical visuals look beautiful and the game invites you to linger. Unfortunately, there are technical problems here and there and the aimless wandering to the next required item can be very annoying.

Steel Seed has perhaps set the bar a little too high for itself. It is not a firework display of action, but rather shines in the dark. Stealth is clearly the focus here and, paired with a solid sci-fi story, there is always fun to be had. However, the whole thing is more suited to players who are not yet familiar with the genre.

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage - Tape 2 manages to take the concepts from the first tape and turn them completely inside out emotionally. The mood is completely different and many of the previously mundane activities now promote a new melancholic view of them. The gameplay takes a back seat and even stagnates, but the story now bears bittersweet fruit.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a special role-playing game that is full of love and passion. It's beautiful, the soundtrack is a splendor, the battles always challenge you without being unfair or losing the fun and the story offers an unusually adult approach. With great acting performances, hard-hitting twists and all kinds of endgame content, you'll have fun for a long time. If you've ever planned to play an RPG, play this one.

While the gameplay is fun and engaging, the lack of polish makes Fatal Fury - City of the Wolves a subpar successor to Garou. Odd design choices - like including two real world personalities in the roster - and a single player mode that plays like a list of chores detract from the otherwise great offline and online versus experience.

The LUNAR Remastered Collection offers exactly what a remaster should. It makes the game more playable with many new features and even adds something new with the English voices. If you're not averse to classic JRPGs, you'll get two really beautifully told stories that don't necessarily show their age thanks to the fresh tactical combat system.

SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered is an unusual JRPG that has to inspire you to want to find out everything for yourself in order to really shine, because systems are not explained and without a guide you will definitely always miss something. However, the interesting battle system and the beautifully paced story are definitely worth experiencing for genre fans

KARMA: The Dark World skillfully manages to combine a typical walking simulator with elements of creepiness, horror and puzzles. The studio's first work shines with its impressive presentation and is brimming with metaphorical symbolism without being heavy-handed. Those who are not put off by the sometimes challenging riddles should really treat themselves to this psychedelic trip.

Bleach: Rebirth of Souls is a must for fans of the original. It captures the style perfectly and lets you relive the story in an abridged, yet very extensive, form. The battles are something quite unique and set themselves apart from other arena brawlers, but lack sensible balancing. And if you don't know the anime or manga, the game can only be recommended to a very limited extent.

The First Berserker: Khazan is a more than promising title for fans of Nioh, Sekiro or Dark Souls. The fast-paced battles, dark setting and mechanics such as the bonus Lacrima system provide a fresh touch to the genre. The chic cel-shaded look and the motivating revenge story also provide the necessary reason to slay enemies and bosses.

MLB The Show 25 sets new standards in the baseball genre. The gameplay is stronger than ever thanks to better animations and realistic mechanics. Franchise Mode and Road to the Show offer more depth and freedom, while Diamond Dynasty shines with the new Diamond Quest mode. However, the graphics fall short of expectations, microtransactions are tiresome and some features such as carryover saves and online franchises are still missing. Nevertheless: The best MLB The Show of all time and a must-have for baseball fans.

Assassin's Creed Shadows is the best installment in the series for a long time and brings many fresh ideas to the table. The setting is breathtaking, the variety in the missions is great and the gameplay feels very well thought out. The interaction between Yasuke and Naoe in particular creates an interesting dynamic. While Yasuke excels in combat, Naoe offers probably the best parcours gameplay the series has ever had. Traversal with Yasuke, the actual story and the typical open-world problems do tarnish the whole thing somewhat, but the series certainly wasn't this good for a while.

WWE 2K25 continues to be the unrivaled champion and with the high variety of content it really provides a long-term gaming experience for fans of the sport. There is still room for improvement and nobody really needed “The Island”, but with so many other great new features and the general quality, the title has a lot to recommend it
