Overall this years Madden make some improvements to what we know already works. MuT needs some work, again, but players quitting is kind of out of their hands. Normally I wouldn’t recommend upgrading from year to year but this year, you should spend the extra money and go for it.
One standout and entirely fantastic element of Mad Max is the technical performance of the game. It looks great, never once did I encounter any serious frame rate issues or bugs, not a single crash. In regards to the technical sides of the game it was a flawless masterpiece from start to finish. Now if they just spent more time on the rest of it…
Overall if you like this type of game and you are a One Piece fan I think you will enjoy it. I have never seen One Piece before and I still ended up enjoying the game!
Act of Aggression wears its inspiration on its sleeve, but it just doesn’t have the gusto to be its own beast. Those dying for a new RTS may find something to enjoy, but the masses are better off sticking with the classics.
Persona 4: Dancing All Night maintains the high pedigree the Persona series is known for while still being its own thing. Fans of both rhythm games and all things Persona will find a lot to love here – and who knows, maybe you’ll learn a move or two too.
Disgaea 5 successfully leaps into the next generation with welcome improvements to the game and chaotic combat dood. If you are a fan of the Disgaea series, or a new comer thinking about trying it out, I think you should give this one a go.
Despite the flaws, this game is still really fun if you are a Warriors fan. If you are wondering if you should step back into the Warring States period with Nobunaga or not; the answer is yes.
Transformers: Devastation isn’t just a good Transformers game, it’s a good game period. More depth and environments would benefit the game tremendously, but as it stands right now, it’s one title for both Transformers and Platinum fans alike.
Just Dance 2016 has got its dancing game down to a science. It may not revolutionize the world of dancing as we know it, but it is the best iteration of the series thus far. Here’s to another year of hits.
Overall Tales Of Zestiria is a solid J-RPG but not quite next gen version we had hoped for. They still have some work to do on the series but I still had a fun time playing the game.
Rodea the Sky Soldier is one of those games that has good intentions and great dreams, but fails to capitalize on them. With a bit more time in the oven (or a few patches), this game could be the next big thing. Unfortunately, as it stands right now, this is one title only for the most diehard of action fans.
Encompassing many different genres, Skyshine's Bedlam will appeal to fans of a number of different genres. It may not be revolutionary, but the harsh world of Bedlam calls out to almost all types of gamer.
Fallout 4 is not perfect. It’s plagued with minor annoyances and even a few game-breaking exploits but that doesn’t take away from what Bethesda have created in what should easily scoop up Game of the Year across the board. Fallout 4 is a very S.P.E.C.I.A.L. kind of game and one every fan of the open-world RPG should experience.
Undertale has personality in spades, paired with one of the most unique hooks in recent history. Those looking for something new need not look any farther – Undertale is your game.
Just Cause 3 quickly becomes repetitive and you will find yourself asking “Is it over yet?”. The potential for a great game is here but the end product leaves much to be desired.
It doesn’t matter how many times we pulled it off. Synchronizing a group of players to execute a breach and clear maneuver perfectly, without casualties, was both challenging and rewarding. If only the average player within the community was willing to put in the same effort.
The price point is going to be the big killer for this game. It comes in at $49.99 when it seems like it should be a 30$ game. Overall at the price point, I just can’t recommend it to anyone who isn’t big into the franchise already.
The game runs about 4-5 hours long depending on which difficulty you play and how long you take to make choices. Overall, if you are into tactical RPGs and like the whole viking aesthetic, you should enjoy this game quite a bit.
Nitroplus Blasterz is one of those games that caters to its audience quite well. Those looking for gratuitous anime fanservice or solid fighting action will eat this game right up, but those wondering what a “Super Sonico” is will be left scratching their heads in confusion.
Firewatch has got an interesting style to it, but it just doesn’t have the follow-through. It’s not a terrible game, but rather an undercooked one. Those looking for something new will likely appreciate its unique style, but even the most fervent of fans will be aware of its faults.
