Hobby Consolas's Reviews

Far from being the disaster we feared, Double Dragon Revive is a worthy entry in the series that brings some interesting ideas to a very classic development. It's dated and can't compete with the titans of the genre, but you'll enjoy it if you're a survivor of the Lee brothers' fights.

While remaining a continuation of the classic survival horror genre, Tormented Souls 2 manages to refine its deep and sincere homage to the great survival horror classics. At times, it wouldn't have hurt to see more of its own creation, but what it does offer is tasteful and high-quality enough to establish itself as a game capable of winning over even the most nostalgic fans.

This sequel represents a bigger and better take on what we already knew. The Outer Worlds 2 is a solid, deep, and fun experience, although we expected a bigger leap forward with the next generation of the series.

83 / 100 - Ninja Gaiden 4
Oct 21, 2025

Ninja Gaiden 4 is a bloody return to the most straightforward hack 'n' slash. It could have done better in terms of variety and graphics, but its absolutely insane, perfectly timed combat leaves us with one of the most frenetic and unique action games of the last decade.

71 / 100 - Keeper
Oct 17, 2025

Keeper is original, technically sound, and presents a stimulating, organic narrative. The problem is that coming from Double Fine doesn't prevent it from having to compete with so many other prestigious indie projects. It's clearly a very personal project, but that very quality could cause it to go unnoticed.

The final result of Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 offers a glimpse into what could have been the best vampire game ever created. However, its many ideas don't quite gel as they should, and there are flaws in the execution. This leaves us with an enjoyable game that could have been an irresistible bite.

Pokémon Legends: ZA is the next step in the series' mega-evolution, a title with fresh ideas, a spirit of renewal, and a desire to do things right. While there's still work to be done, this is the path future Pokémon games should follow.

83 / 100 - Battlefield 6
Oct 9, 2025

Battlefield 6 manages to save the series by bringing back a multiplayer mode reminiscent of the best installments. However, there's still work to be done. Some features are missing, and the campaign is severely underutilized. Fortunately, the foundation is in place for Portal and future seasons to round out a game with a future.

92 / 100 - Absolum
Oct 9, 2025

Absolum is one of the most polished and varied beat 'em ups of all time, which is saying something. Its progression system keeps you playing. It's among the elite in 2025.

The cooperative mode fits perfectly with Little Nightmares III, enhancing the series' usual strengths, but the single-player experience has suffered as a result. So, if you play it solo, you'll enjoy it less, while playing with others can add a few points to the final score.

83 / 100 - King of Meat
Oct 2, 2025

In a sector saturated with games-as-a-service and where it's hard to stand out, we like that King of Meat focuses on creativity, elaborate level designs, and a focus on single-player gameplay. Whether this will be enough to keep it on top for months will depend on the public's reaction, of course.

67 / 100 - Hotel Barcelona
Sep 26, 2025

If viewed more as an arthouse piece, Hotel Barcelona has a striking charm, but its trap-filled roguelite formula feels too hostile and unpolished to be enjoyed by a general audience.

91 / 100 - Ghost of Yotei
Sep 25, 2025

Ghost of Yotei is a consummate revenge game with which Sucker Punch dares to present an open world with good ideas that come close to fitting together perfectly. Dazzling in its visuals, powerful in its narrative, and sharp in its combat. Yotei is almost as precise as a katana slash.

95 / 100 - Hades II
Sep 24, 2025

More fun, bigger, sexier, and even more addictive than its predecessor, Hades II is pure witchcraft. As a game, it excels in every department, and as a sequel, it strikes a great balance between familiarity and significant new features... But I wish I could stop time so I could keep playing forever.

Pac-Man World Re-Pac 2 revives the PS2-era classic and updates it with major improvements. Its visuals don't hide the fact that the original is over 20 years old, and its controls could use some improvement, but it more than makes up for it with its superb gameplay, challenging gameplay, and great humor.

90 / 100 - Silent Hill f
Sep 22, 2025

Konami has been brave in rethinking the series' setting and certain gameplay schemes, and for us, the move has paid off. Silent Hill F is a game that draws you in irresistibly and even compels you to replay it. Based on its atmosphere, gameplay, and plot, it's a true horror hit in 2025.

Dying Light The Beast doesn't reinvent the wheel or introduce changes that revolutionize the series, but it does polish many aspects, enrich others, and add enough new features (a new setting, increased vehicle weight, etc.) to make the experience feel fresh, and it succeeds. And, most importantly, it's still as fun as the first day.

The effort put into giving personality to the main duels and providing ideas is noticeable, even if it feels like more of the same in between. It's definitely worth your time if you got it for free. If you have to pay 25 euros more... maybe it's better to wait for a sale.
