Hobby Consolas's Reviews

Mar 13, 2019

One Piece fans will be satisfied with the return of classic characters and a spectacular set of moves for Luffy, but those in search of a complete, challenging open world adventure have far better options in the market.

84 / 100 - The Wizards
Mar 12, 2019

The Wizards delivers one of the most solid experience we enjoyed in VR. It is immersive, comfortable and makes perfect use of motion controls to make us feel like summoning spells and confronting huge creatures.

68 / 100 - Left Alive
Mar 8, 2019

Left Alive it's a tough game, hard and even unfair (because of the enemy's IA), with a non very responsible control, a questionable checkpoint system and other shortcomings, even from the technical side. Mechas, stealth, action... neither of its elements shine completely. But, even with that, it has "something" that can hook you up to keep playing.

93 / 100 - Devil May Cry 5
Mar 6, 2019

On top of being one of the best looking action games ever made, none other hack'n slash has ever been so complex and varied, but also fun. It may be all about demons and hell, but Devil May Cry 5 is like reaching heaven.

Kirby Extra Epic Yarn follow the steps from other recent 3DS ports like Luigi's Mansion: pick up the original game, add minor extras... and enjoy a second life. An idea that seems fair to us, if it's nicely done, as is the case. Maybe the new content falls short, but the original game was very enjoyable... and it keeps delivering.

77 / 100 - Dead or Alive 6
Mar 1, 2019

Team NINJA demonstrates once again that they're one of the best studios out there at creating fast paced, rock-solid and extremely satisfying combat systems. Dead or Alive 6 is also the best entry for newcomers, but lacks some content and evolution.

Fans of the original game will find exactly what the missed all these years. It should be more appealing on the graphical side, but it's an OK adventure for those who seek a slow-paced experience.

80 / 100 - APE OUT
Feb 28, 2019

Ape Out breaks its cage with an amusing aesthetics and a wonderful and jazzy soundtrack, both of them procedural generated. In some way, it plays like Hotline Miami, with its own ideas, and a constant feeling of urgency. A game with an owerhelming personality, that even shows up when our ape dies, in a memorable and stilysh death recap screen.

68 / 100 - Massira
Feb 27, 2019

Massira Whispers from the desert is a game about syrian refugees, which is quite simple in its mechanics, but displays a strong message and an interesting artistic approach.

As the song in the film, "everything's not awesome" with this one (camera, screen tearing...), but it still delivers a ton of content and a solid promise of fun if you plan to play it with a kid, In some ways, it's a more open-world-focused offering than other LEGO licensed games, that brings back some ideas lost in LEGO Worlds.

83 / 100 - Trials Rising
Feb 25, 2019

Although we drive a motorbike, Trials Rising sits between platform and puzzle games. It is spectacular and incredibly fun to play (even more in local or online multiplayer modes), but some elements, such as loot boxes system and loading times, spoil the experience.

82 / 100 - Aragami
Feb 21, 2019

A beautiful stealth game, which combines great design and music elements. Switch version is identical to PS4, Xbox One and PC, which means it also has some A.I. problems, some levels feel too similar,

Intruders Hide and Seek is, probably, one of the best games from PS Talents, the spanish videogame incubator project from PlayStation, at least from the production values: graphics, sound, art, PS VR usage... A hide & seek game with a mortal twist, well executed, but far from perfect: it's a short game (2-3 hours), with long loading times...

70 / 100 - Anthem
Feb 20, 2019

Under a myriad of problems and bad design choices, lays a fun game, with rich lore and lots of potential... Maybe even a Bioware game. Sadly, right now it's difficult to find it.

71 / 100 - JUMP FORCE
Feb 15, 2019

Joining so many manga stars is with no doubt the great feature of a fighting game that feels just OK. Sometimes it's flashy, but also out of balance.

84 / 100 - Crackdown 3
Feb 14, 2019

It mantains everything that created a really enjoyable franchise: non-stop action and an enormously satisfying progression system. It's not a game changer and you won't be surprised by its graphics, but it will offer you some toooooasty action.

Far Cry: New Dawn has some nice new ideas that set it apart from it's predecessor, but ultimately they can't hide that their similarities. But rest asure: if you're looking to have fun shooting, knifing and making things explode, this game will not disappoint you.

90 / 100 - Metro Exodus
Feb 13, 2019

Metro Exodus is an excellent story based shooter, which combines survival skills, exploration, stealth and combat. We love the post apocalyptic setting, based on the Metro novels by Dmitry Glukhovsky, and some open worlds elements.

As N++, Super Meat Boy and other games alike, The King's Bird focuses on control and gameplay over story. Gain "momentum" and use it to glide and rush through the levels it's the key to complete the game and conquer the online rankings. It's a challenging experiencie, f you're the kind of player that loves speedrunning gaming.
