Sword Art Online Last Recollection may entertain fans for a while, but as JRPG is unfortunately dull and uninspired.

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 is a fuller gaming experience compared to its previous game. However, for better or worse, it's still almost identical to its predecessor.

The Master Collection Vol. 1 is a gem for its contents – with some of the most important and genre-defining video games ever – but feels like a lazy porting that made nothing to make those games shine even more.

Ghostrunner 2 reintroduces the same formula as its predecessor, enhancing it with more open maps and new abilities for Jack, adding a touch of depth to the gameplay. While it lacks significant innovations, the gameplay formula still manages to work and entertain. However, its nature of extreme trial and error makes it a title not suited for everyone, as it can frustrate a good portion of players.

Of course Humankind feels home on PC, but the porting is decently crafted and, despite some flaws in the controls and in the UI, manages to offer to console players all the good (and the bad) it had when played using a mouse and a keyboard on your computer.

Cities Skylines II does its best to become the best city builder on the market and this first step surprises for how many things Colossal Order managed to improve. Of course it still needs more time to build (pun intended) on this foundation, but the ambition of this game was surely delivered with the right amount of love and care for even the little details.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is a new classic: charismatic, eclectic, lysergic, funny, entertaining and... entertained.

Hellboy Web of Wyrd is, sadly, a giant wasted opportunity: the sublime artstyle wasn't unfortunately accompanied by a gameplay that could do justice to the beloved hero.

Borderlands 3 on Switch in handheld mode is surprisingly enjoyable and feels like a good option for players that still have to play the beloved looter shooter from Gearbox.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is one of the best superhero games. Bigger, better and more badass like almost every traditional sequel, this new chapter also shows the limits of the formula that needs to be urgently renewed in the next game.

Infinity Strash Dragon Quest The Adventures of Dai is a dull and repetitive action RPG with little to share with the Dragon Quest franchise, that just couples half of the story of the anime series with a very simple (and very boring) gameplay.

Sonic Superstars takes the blue hedgehog back to his retro 2D roots, once again: so, if you're a super nostalgic gamer, it's a good title, but don't let the classic appearance fool you, 'cause the game is also fresh and modern.

Lords of the Fallen fails to meet every expectation and its own ambitions. With many technical flaws and some gameplay issues, CI Games and HexWorks reboot is very far from top notch soulslike games.

There are some design (and marketing) choices about Total War: Pharaoh that are still unexplainable, but some of the innovations that the game introduces are what we hope to see more in the future of this glorious saga.

Mediterranea Inferno is a compelling adventure that shines when you notice how many questions and thoughts you will hold dear after going through its journey.

Cocoon is a beautiful puzzle-adventure game that excels in creating a captivating atmosphere. Playing as the tiny insect protagonist on this adventure and guiding it through interconnected worlds provides an incredibly satisfying experience, setting it apart from the creator's previous works. It may not redefine the genre, but it's a title worth trying out for any gamer.

Forza Motorsport is certainly a very welcome return. The title doesn't change so much, offering a large fleet of cars, different tracks and a good driving system which, however, lacks some details. The drive system has been improved, but without achieving the best possibile result. While driving almost all cars, we feel excessive understeer and oversteer and this makes for some in-game moments slightly frustrating, especially in the single player races.

Assassin's Creed Mirage is a divisive trip down memory lane for Ubisoft: it's a retelling of the origin story we've heard many times in this franchise, and a re-enacting of the same mechanics and moment-to-moment gameplay the saga was known for before Origins. It's up to personal tastes if this is enough or not, but we were expecting more.

Detective Pikachu: The Return is a definite step forward from the first installment, but it still lacks that quality leap that could make this subseries a must for franchise fans. The main charm of the adventure lies in the charisma of its two protagonists and the opportunity to experience the Pokémon world in a different way compared to what the main series offers. However, the game's extreme simplicity, driven by the choice to make it accessible to a wide audience, may not satisfy all fans of the saga.

Even if very conservative in its nature, Disgaea 7 is a very solid entry in the franchise, thanks to some new ideas (such as the Kaiju-like transformation and the online asynchronous multiplayer) and hundreds of hours of content. But beware: the latest ones come at the cost of a lot of repetition and grinding.
