6.5 / 10.0 - Graven
Jan 25, 2024

Graven is an intriguing mix of genres, but it doesn't manage to express its full potential.

To put it simply, this is the best Tekken ever.

Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth is the golden bridge between the glorious past of the franchise and its bright future. It's a rich game and an epic RPG, a celebration of the videogame medium itself and a modern twist on both the Shenmue and the Earthbound games. It can be slow at times and it requires knowledge of characters and events from previous games, but it's still a monumental effort.

6.8 / 10.0 - The Cub
Jan 21, 2024

Despite the good story, The Cub is just an average platform with movements and jumps that can feel stiff at times.

Another Code: Recollection is a smart and well-made revival for the beloved series that be believed was long forgotten by Nintendo: we are happy to know that it wasn't and that new players and long-time fans alike can now enjoy these two games on their Nintendo Switch.

Unscored - Outer Wilds
Dec 27, 2023

Outer Wilds is still a brilliant game in its Nintendo Switch version, which also includes the Echoes of the Eye DLC, and we recommend visiting the small but fascinating universe Mobius Digital has given life to. It's just that this version is the worst of the bunch, and the other ones are much cheaper now, four years after the original release.

7.5 / 10.0 - Born of Bread
Dec 19, 2023

Born of Bread is an adventure game with RPG mechanics, a true cross between Paper Mario and the classic Final Fantasy games. With a cast of highly well-developed characters, a catchy soundtrack and a cheerful and colourful setting, the game offers fun and relaxing gameplay, enriched by a heartwarming and compelling story and a one-of-a-kind hero.

In Asterix & Obelix Slap Them All 2 the asset reuse rhymes with a missed occasion. As the drawn graphic and the original plot tries to do something new for its genre, the game falls again into a massive reuse of what done in 2021. It's still a fun game and it can be a good solution to share some good evenings playing together with a friend, but only the most irreducible fans will accept to buy it.

One of the best video games ever created about the Games Workshop universe.

Dragon Quest Monster The Dark Prince does very little to differentiate itself from the great number of similar games on the market, and still does everything right if you look at its bestiary and its gameplay loop. Therefore, it can be recommended to anyone looking for a good (but no great) monster catching RPG.

An amazing fighting game for veterans and newcomers alike.

Echoes of the Fallen is the first of two Final Fantasy XVI DLCs, which can be completed in less than three hours and is not able to satisfy those who wanted something more important and imperious from Square Enix. The new content includes a three-story corridor dungeon inside a tower, which denotes a great deal of level design laziness and only offers a couple of spectacular boss fights. All this, to be experienced always in easy mode like the base game since it must be faced before the final mission. Forgettable and unnecessary content.

7.9 / 10.0 - Ready or Not
Dec 12, 2023

An intriguing tactical shooter that embraces the precious SWAT legacy, offering a layered and challenging gameplay. It still lacks some polishing and we can't say that every idea got to achieve its full potential, but this is definitely an interesting and compelling gameplay experience for players that love to think before shooting.

Little Goody Two Shoes was a pleasant surprise. Drawing inspiration from a well-known fairy tale, the game weaves an intriguing narrative that seamlessly blends various storytelling genres, aesthetics, and gameplay elements. The developers transition from an idyllic and fairy-tale atmosphere to grotesque nightmares effortlessly, and the entire experience is presented in an engaging way, even in the game mechanics. While there are aspects that could have been improved, and the overall story is enjoyable but not particularly memorable, it leaves us eagerly anticipating new projects from the AstralShift team.

Hitman: Blood Money Reprisal still stands as an excellent chapter in Agent 47's saga, taking us back to the heart of the '00s with more compact levels, though not entirely sacrificing the freedom offered to the player. The game has aged better than we might have expected, at least in terms of gameplay, and the mobile conversion work has proven to be quite good overall. Nevertheless, we hesitate to call this version the best way to do justice to the game, as it still remains more enjoyable in its console releases, of course.

3 / 10.0 - Flashback 2
Dec 10, 2023

Flashback 2 is a complete mess and it's a real shame, as its predecessor is still fondly remembered by a lot of players. We will probably never know the reasons behind such a failure, but, having spent too much time on the game, what we can do is recommending you to avoid buying it in its current state.
