Return of the Obra Dinn is a skillfully woven web of events and destinies. Unraveling it is not only an excellent workout for the mind, but also a real pleasure. Lucas Pope again remolded routine processes into an exciting gameplay, and, most importantly, he gracefully escaped the “second game syndrome”.

Cuphead faced real risk of being stuck in development limbo, but after seven years it emerged as one of the most visually impressive and addictive boss battle platformers. Extremely good and captivating gameplay wrapped up in gorgeous 30's cartoons-styled visuals – you just can't resist this combo.

Gravity Rush 2 is one of those niche releases which, sadly, often remain overlooked by console players. But if you like heartwarming games, Kat's adventures will definitely make you happy.

Yakuza 0 is such a great crime drama that it's impossible to put it away until it's finished. Also amazing side missions, fun mini-games, difficult challenges — better try it yourself.

Tekken 7 almost reached an amazing quality of Tekken 3 and Tekken 5. It's one of the best entries in the series and can be recommended to both hardcore players and newcomers. With “easy to learn, hard to master” model you can spent dozen of hours training, fighting and training again — only to dig deeper into core mechanics and become a little bit better. Get ready for the next battle!

Parade of new tricks, great loot system, huge attention to detail and engaging Multiverse mode are the reasons why you want to come back to Injustice 2, again and again. Everything here was made with huge love to DC comics (and probably with huge budget too). This fighting game is great for everyone: for newcomers who never ever heard about comic books, for DC enthusiasts, and for fans of the genre.

Not revolutionary, not groundbreaking, but still an amazing experience which you should definitely try out. Clunky controls, sometimes annoying mission design and some mechanics that seem out of place won't ruin your atmospheric journey through the last days of Wild West.

What Remains of Edith Finch proves once again how unique a storytelling in videogames can be. It's a short but incredible experience which brings out a lot of emotions. It pushes the genre forward and kind of makes the term 'walking simulator' nonsensical and meaningless. Don't deny yourself the walkthrough, you won't regret it.

Fans of ICO and Journey, rejoice! RiME, as expected, is a great addition to the list of amazing story-driven platformers. But if you want full experience, avoid spoilers on the Internet at all costs.

Fans of Limbo and Inside should definitely check out Little Nightmares. It's a big step forward for 2D-horrors and dark platformers, and this game will definitely inspire independent developers in the future if they decide to create something similar. Playdead's Inside raised the bar sky high, but Tarsier achieved almost similar results and brought plenty of fresh ideas to the table.

Splatoon 2 feels more like a Deluxe version of the original game than proper sequel. But it doesn't matter at all, because it is still an unique and really fun game to play alone or with friends.

A wonderful continuation of the series. Far Cry 5 adjusted a well-known formula enough to make the chase after brilliant antagonists very fun and exciting.

Wipeout: Omega Collection is a great reminder that Wipeout series is still strong and unbelievably fun to play. Even after two decades.

Pyre is one of the most innovative games of our time, combining seemingly incongruous elements: visual novel and fast-paced team sport. This combination, of course, will not work for everyone, but even if these ingredients caused indigestion, you will still fall in love with story. A story which brings out the feeling of sweet sadness, like when you finish a wonderful book, and leave your new friends behind. A story where victories can be bitter, and defeats can be bright. A story that can be told each time in a new way.

Amazing continuation of the legendary series, to which it makes no sense to apply the standards of the old Wolfenstein. MachineGames set new standards for linear story-driven shooters. It is another matter who needs these standards today, what with all the sandbox-openworld-multiplayer-games-as-service thing going on. The success of The New Colossus will partly determine the fate of the genre.

Gorgeous and addictive game, which not only looks spectacular, but also plays really well. If this is the start of a new trilogy, we can't wait to see what's next.

Super Mario Odyssey is another gem in the Switch library. Varied, funny, cute and unbelievably addictive. This game could be an ideal platformer, but uninspiring boss battles and heavy emphasis on collecting items after the main story prevent SUPER MARIO ODYSSEY from the perfect score.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice can drive you mad. These voices in your head — you can't stop them, they're everywhere, always talking, always alongside you. Ninja Theory did an astonishing job representing psychosis in a game and bringing sound design to new heights.

Being, in fact, a simple expansion, Total War: Warhammer II also acts great as a standalone game with its four new different races and beautiful lands, while constant race for getting the Vortex keeps you up all the time.

The project, deeply reminiscent of INSIDE, unexpectedly gets to a certain extent and the promise of the 1979 Revolution: Black Friday - in a grotesque manner. And from a slightly awkward, but not so bad clone turns... well, let not in a beautiful swan with a strong personality, but the project with its own voice.
