SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is a fun-to-play 3D platformer that gives a solid representation of the TV show. While I enjoy having a good family-friendly game to let the children play, there is no ground-breaking game mechanics as such, however, there is a lot of enjoyment to be had while trying to rescue all of your friends and restore Bikini Bottom.

Despite the plotholes, I have really enjoyed the expansion and the introduction of Strand. The new dynamic in gameplay means raiding simply won’t be the same. I know I couldn’t now be restricted to simply Arc, Solar and Void. Bungie learnt from their mistakes in introducing Stasis and the rollout of Strand has been far superior.

If you are looking for something to casually play on your own, or something for the family to play on a Sunday evening. Then consider Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe. Given that it’s a local co-op of course. If you enjoyed the original get ready for a nostalgia-infused ride into Dream Land.

The bottom line is this: one of the best games ever made has been upgraded and finessed to perfection. There are no caveats here—Metroid Prime Remastered is a wonder. The biggest surprise is that in twenty years there have been no imitators: the only comparable games are Metroid Prime’s also-excellent sequels. But if you’re up against something this good, perhaps it’s best not to bother.

I really couldn’t fault Mahokenshi. For me, it sits firmly in the midground of deck builder titles. It isn’t difficult to pick up and the mechanics are easily understood. At the same time, it is also not as in-depth as some of the other titles currently on the market. This makes it really easy to pick up and enjoy from the start, it is pretty much self-explanatory after the tutorial. It provides various gameplay elements and customisation if that’s what you are looking for, but it’s also just a pickup-and-play. I award Mahokenshi a Thumb Culture Platinum Award.

Dust & Neon has a few key mechanics that shine but I believe asking £24.99 is a bit steep. Most shops are pointless and I never bought anything as I found most of my weapons during missions.

The story may be a bit derivative of other Yakuza titles, and yes an NPC may get caught on the corner of a wall and just keep running on the spot. This game has a couple of issues. But honestly, they’re so few and far between

If you want to experience one of the most accomplished indie games that’s ever been released then this one certainly deserves to be investigated. An enjoyable story with memorable characters and plenty of humour – I do hope we get to see Brok in some form again in the future.

I enjoyed playing this game and hope to see some DLC that adds more items to Hotel Renovator. The business side of the game doesn’t get to shine which is a bit of a letdown. They already have put a lot of work into a solid decorating experience for the players.

I enjoyed my time so far with Chef Life and looking forward to playing more. It brings its own take on the sim genre while inspired by predecessors such as Cooking Simulator. With an interesting narrative, the game has multiple branching options on the path to success.

Overall Scars Above shows large promise in being a story that will be remembered and enjoyed by various types of gamers. For the price it is going for on the PlayStation Store (£36.97 at the time of writing this), it is a steal for an immersive and beautiful experience with plenty to shoot, investigate, and discover.

Tributary Games have done something revolutionary with King of the Castle, and I personally can not wait to see how this game develops over time. I have no doubt that this will be a great success, especially in the growing streamer market.

Sebastián Garcia is a genius and what he has designed here is an absolutely tremendous feat. I would love to see Capcom work with him on an official side scrolling Street Fighter game similar to how Sega did with Sonic The Hedgehog fans on Sonic Mania.

Maybe it is my age, but Golazo! 2 really struck a nerve with me. A good one that is. Its simple but fun nature means it is very easy to pick up and play.

I had fun playing Gunfire Reborn but after a few runs I started to feel that the game is much more fun with friends, since each of us tackling higher difficulties together as a different character gave the game more variety and challenge.

It’s clear to see that Clive ‘N’ Wrench is undoubtedly a product of passion and a huge amount of love has gone into it. It is undeniably charming with many fun aspects and platforming fans will find lots to enjoy. Certainly entertaining enough to while away a few afternoons and very impressive work from a solo developer. However, its inconsistencies are hard to ignore and prevent it from reaching its true Switch platforming potential.

Go! Go! PogoGirl shines in its control. A platformer like this requires precise control over the character and this game feels great to play.

As I have stated many times throughout this article, this is my first time playing a 2D arcade type game. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised, and I am incredibly fortunate that I was given the opportunity to play the game, as well as being fortunate that this was my first 2D arcade game, as it has certainly made me want to try out more.

I have never felt bored while playing Deep Rock Galactic as I was always had an assignment to do, be it for some new skins or to promote my dwarves, or simply helping other players doing their assignments. I can not wait to see what Ghost Ship Games brings us next.
