The Escapist 2 mainly focuses itself on improving the series’ combat, giving more elaborate ways to escape and new items to mess and experiment with; it definitely feels as if The Escapist 2 is about refining the original formula and improving certain aspects to create a game that forces you to think strategically and outside of the box, acting very much more like “The Escapist 1.5” – That’s not a bad thing, however – If you want to feel as if you are part of the great escape or simply want to experience a truly challenging game with a twist, then this is the game for you.
Overall, Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony is a fine visual novel that improves greatly on the Danganronpa formula – The only things holding it back however are a somewhat fractured, filler-ladened plot and some poor characters.
This is definitely a game everyone should try, especially if you’re a fan of beat ‘em ups.
I’m having a blast with Agents of Mayhem and find it to be the perfect nonsense game to just turn my brain off, have a bit of a laugh and blow shit up.
There's some really fun gameplay, with great bosses. However the open world feels empty and I wish there was lots more content for returning players after a first time completion.
White Day certainly has some things going for it, it has great atmosphere, the puzzles are all fun to do and the optional ghost scenes are all really interesting. But when it comes down to it there’s really nothing else going for it besides these things. The AI can be wonky at times and there will be some frustrating deaths. The story is kinda barebones but forgivable. I would suggest this game to someone who is a mega-fan of horror games, but not to someone who isn’t since there are WAY better games out there. All things considered, I think the game is just alright.
This has been a very enjoyable game to play and strongly recommend a play. Even if you’ve never played a JRPG before like me.
The game looks stunning right down to the tiniest details on the props but there are some things wrong with the game.
All I have to say now is, well done Falcom. Well done. You've got a new Ys fan, and made a certified masterpiece. I haven't played a game that's captivated me this much since Rogue Galaxy, back in 2007, so keep it up. Not just for us, but for the betterment of the JRPG genre.
During my time with Respawning, I have had the opportunity to play a lot of Musou/Warriors games, and I feel like what we’re playing here is slightly underwhelming. It does a great job in giving exposure to lesser known titles from Koei Tecmo’s impressive library of characters however I have found that there isn’t much to offer regarding expansive features and the roster is minimal in comparison to other titles found in the genre.
At £15.00, this is a game well worth your time if you plan on having some friends round for an afternoon – Combine with a few drinks and an extra-large pizza and you’ve got yourself a perfectly chilled-out Friday night game. Highly recommended.
My experience with Sonic Mania has been a blast and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time playing my old childhood game. I feel as if Sonic Mania is well deserving of the scores it has received and has brought Sonic back into its golden days.
Yakuza Kiwami has been another great addition to a series with nothing but great games. While I would say that its high notes aren’t as good as Yakuza 0’s, this can be excused for the most part as it technically is the first game of the series. Either way this game will please fans new and old so don’t miss out on it!
I just got to a point where I didn’t want to invest any more time in this game and wanted to play something more exciting.
Pyre completely blew my expectation out of the water as I was not prepared to be so emotionally invested in all of these characters and letting go was even harder. I don’t have any complaints for this game and I can’t wait to start a second playthrough. If you liked Bastion or Transistor then please do yourself a favor and check this one out. It is arguably the best one of those three.
[The Crash N. Sane Trilogy is] ...the perfect sendoff to a lovingly crafted collection, which I hope introduces a whole new generation of gamers to the orange marsupial! Now…Let’s await a Spyro remaster…Or Jak and Daxter….Please…?
t’s a solid all round beat em up with a lot of replayability and a lot of fun to be had.
The frights are also varied (as you’d expect from a horror game) and 10x worse in VR, there are times which are just god damn creepy with sounds all around you, and other times where they’ll chuck in a jump scare which often (always) made me scream like a little girl.
I had one of the worst times of my gaming life whilst playing through The Town Of Light, I felt constantly on edge and uncomfortable throughout the entire experience. With this in mind, I absolutely LOVED my time with the game, I just wish it was a bit longer and quicker at times.
Valkyrie Drive has seriously impressed me I don’t think I was expecting to like this game as much as I did. I seriously despise the fan service-ey type anime that’s always around and yet I liked this because of it’s almost self-aware, raunchy nature. If you want a dumb little action game and you have a lot of time to spend check this game out on either PSVita or PC
