65 / 100 - Wavetale
Dec 12, 2022

Wavetale is calm and relaxing, perhaps more so. A platformer with little replayability, a limited world, and zero challenge. A title to chill and surf for a while in a very well built world with a charming story, supported by a notable artistic section that is limited by its playable deficiencies.

Whoever expects a coherent analysis of Choo-Choo Charles in this rubbish of a text box, go to the countless websites that will offer it. This is a game that has both its own personality, as well as its plethora of glitches, glitches, 'what are you doing', 'what's going on here', disgustingly basic design. Fight against a spider ghost locomotive that you are not going to kill. Limited movement, a 3D engine full of stuttering and people with eyes glued together... And this is great!... or not. But the review number stops there.

The Callisto Protocol has failed to live up to all the promises made during its development and those expecting survival horror will be disappointed. However, despite its limitations and numerous implementation problems, it manages to be quite fun thanks to an interesting combat system and excellent art design.

Crossfire: Legion is the foray into the RTS genre of the famous Asian franchise, although it may not convince those looking for a great strategy game. Its few game modes, an unremarkable campaign, very basic gameplay, and a half-abandoned online mode make it difficult to consider it as a playable option compared to other heavyweights in the sector.

90 / 100 - IXION
Dec 7, 2022

With IXION the folks at Bulkwark Studios have radically traded in their alternate future formula for a compelling and well written space odyssey set in the far reaches of the universe. The connection between the gameplay and the dynamic narrative is impressive, and the result is a great experience.

Dec 7, 2022

Among the formulas that the wide spectrum of videogames presents today to return to games from the past, NEW Joe & Mac - Caveman Ninja chooses to be very classic... that is... what was in the original arcade, and something else in its extended mode. But with a redone in the graphic and sound section. Joe & Mac - Caveman Ninja was an arcade game that was as fun as it was hard, and that is given to us at the end of 2022. Not much has been touched, except for things on some levels -for better or worse-, in a title that was so hard when you tossed a coin playing alone, like fun and well focused when you had another colleague with another hair color and loincloth. It lacks more content to be a revival, but it will not take so long. And that it is still impossible to forget in the original and this remake the great visual identity and the leiv motiv of the plot.

70 / 100 - Hello Neighbor 2
Dec 6, 2022

Hello Neighbor 2 has improved everything from its previous installment. The title is committed to an improved artistic section and an improvement in the logic of its puzzles. In addition, an inventory has been added to be able to store objects but it maintains its rough control and cannot innovate. I'm sure the Eerie Guest is on the right track and they've made a very good sequel.

80 / 100 - Dome Keeper
Dec 5, 2022

Dome Keeper is a survival game in an alien world where you have to dig for resources and defend yourself against hordes of enemies. The game has an interesting theme and a unique concept, where it offers progression and strategy elements as well as action adventure. It is exciting and challenging for survival lovers.

65 / 100 - Astronite
Dec 2, 2022

With the conscientious work of a single person in charge, Astronite is one of those games that we will like at a quick glance, but it will not easily settle in our heads given the vast artistic offer that 2D action and platform metroidvanias present. But it will as soon as we have the pad in our hands and spend hours with it. Through a classic approach well managed in control and situations, we will have a much more difficult game than what we have become accustomed to in this style in recent years. That can be a good thing, although it's not so good anymore that some complications and frustrations come from a hopeless approach to managing in-game currency, or some more intricate and restrictive moments and structural design than its genre could demand. But Astronite is still a recommendable and interesting game, a game that can also give you a good number of hours, compared to much shorter similar proposals. We simply have to know what we are going for and where we are going to get into.

85 / 100 - Pentiment
Dec 1, 2022

Pentiment is a game with a modest budget and equipment, which does not mean that it does not achieve a high standard of quality. During the approximately fifteen hours that Pentiment can last, we will be able to immerse ourselves in the life of a 16th century abbey and in the life that surrounds it. Its peculiar style helps to achieve this and, if we approach it with the right mentality, we can enjoy it from the audiovisual, plot, environmental and development perspective of the adventure.

70 / 100 - Soccer Story
Nov 29, 2022

Soccer Story takes inspiration from great releases, Inazuma eleven comes to mind because of their similarities. Its voxel design and its history make the title highly recommended, but it is overshadowed by its repetitive missions and some bugs that have prevented us from progressing. Despite this, with a few tweaks, it manages to be a good arcade soccer alternative.

90 / 100 - The Knight Witch
Nov 28, 2022

It is no longer that the metroidvanias have a pull that I hope will continue to last for many years. It is not the fact of hybridizing genres either, although here a plus of originality is achieved for it. It is to do it in a very good way, in a very fun adventure. The Knight Witch not only proposes metroidvania, bullet-hell and deck-building card, it is that it does it with great ease, understanding what it is, and adapting perfectly to any viewer who enjoys adventures, and not limiting himself to those skilled with the pad or niche shmup players, but also giving them challenge and bait. If the proposal attracts you and attracts your attention, but you think that this Metroidvania 'ship' game may not be for you, trust me, it is.

75 / 100 - Goat Simulator 3
Nov 23, 2022

Goat Simulator 3 is just as thug a game as the first, even more so. Bigger, crazier, more chances to unleash chaos, and incidentally a critique of the studio to the so hackneyed open worlds, so fashionable these days. We will be able to follow a fun plot while we unleash chaos for the great mapping and enjoy all the crazy things that are proposed to us. The multiplayer mode for up to 4 players is the great addition of this installment and it will multiply the fun for us. Finally, the Estocomo studio has to get its act together to improve performance and other bugs that somewhat tarnish the return of the horniest goats in the world.

75 / 100 - Gungrave G.O.R.E
Nov 22, 2022

Gungrave G.O.R.E pays too much attention to its origins, as it feels and plays like a PlayStation 2 title. Despite its problems such as poor stage design, lackluster control and poorly measured difficulty, all of this is overshadowed by a frenetic and addictive gameplay that makes it a pleasure to continue playing, If we are fans of the anime style and nostalgic for previous generations, this is our game.

85 / 100 - Evil West
Nov 21, 2022

The guys from Flying Wild Hogs offer us with Evil West an interesting setting and polished gameplay. A certain variety and depth in the development, a story that will not change our lives but that accompanies us and, above all, a fun game that is worth being in our collection.

80 / 100 - Let's Sing 2023
Nov 18, 2022

Let's Sing 2023 does not come to reinvent the genre, nor does it need to. It limits itself to offering what everyone expects from a title like this and it does so with the required invoice. The selection of songs in these cases is crucial and very personal, but perhaps it is a mixture that could have been decanted or defined a little more. What is clear is that Let's Sing 2023 will be able to perfectly accompany the Christmas holidays and give us several very funny moments with friends or family.

85 / 100 - Sifu
Nov 18, 2022

Sifu was one of the surprises of the year and now it makes its way to Nintendo Switch in a more than correct version. We have the usual sacrifices in visual quality and performance in exchange for being able to play this demanding beat'em up anywhere. With its interesting playable mechanics and its staging, Sifu has earned the good reviews it has garnered and has become an experience that all beat'em up lovers should enjoy.

Nov 18, 2022

Marvel's Spiderman: Miles Morales arrives shortly after the port of the previous installment to PC, and it does so with the same technical improvements. This autoplayable expansion puts us in the shoes of a different Spiderman, who is learning the trade, and for around 8 hours it will give us practically more of the same, as expected in an expansion, which in this case is more than enough. Perhaps it would have been nice if Sony's releases, this one included, had a physical version -that is, with a box and disc, although it must be associated with Steam or Epic-, or if, since it can only be purchased digitally, perhaps they could have adjusted the price for an expansion is better, something that each user should value.

NEOGEO POCKET COLOR SELECTION Vol.2 comes as a surprise just like its previous volume and offers us another 10 titles from SNK's ill-fated portable system. They highlight SNK VS. CAPCOM CARD FIGHTERS CLASH and MEGA MAN BATTLE & FIGHTERS but overall these 10 titles cover another important part of SNK's 16-bit laptop catalogue, and perfectly complement Vol.1. We hope that one day we will have a Vol.3 with the blue hedgehog as the protagonist.
