More daring than Requiem. It swaps stealth for more abrupt and direct combat. It still retains the essence of the series, although it moves further away from the mundane and closer to the mythological. The Island of the Minotaur hides a multitude of secrets that will even put us in the shoes of a Greek hero. Its graphics continue to prove that not all games need to use Unreal Engine 5 to look photorealistic. Furthermore, as with its two predecessors, the art style is truly outstanding. Although it suffers from basic yet flashy combat and puzzles that aren’t particularly challenging, this prequel expands the Macula universe through Sophia’s eyes.

9 / 10.0 - NBA 2K27
Sep 10, 2026

NBA 2K27 is an outstanding instalment in the franchise. As always, the game offers the best basketball experience to be found in the video game industry. This is even more so thanks to all the improvements made to MyCareer mode, which, quite honestly, I cannot recommend highly enough. However, microtransactions are still lurking and detract from the experience

8.3 / 10.0 - Halloween
Sep 9, 2026

Halloween: The Game is the definitive game based on the cult film Halloween and the killer Michael Myers. The asymmetrical multiplayer mode is great fun and offers plenty of options. Meanwhile, the inclusion of a story mode where you play as Myers will delight fans of the slasher genre and John Carpenter’s cult film. The slow pace of the game, which mirrors that of the film, may not be to everyone’s taste, but once you get into the swing of things, we can guarantee that the game is addictive and you’ll want to play one match after another.

It’s time, then, to draw our conclusions from this review of LEGO Batman: Legacy of The Dark Knight, stating that this is a game we highly recommend. It doesn’t break any new ground in terms of gameplay, but everything it does, it does very well. As much fun as all LEGO games are, this is the closest we’ve come in years to a new game in the Arkham series. Recommended for all LEGO fans, Batman fans, or anyone who loves open-world action-adventure games.

Twisted Tower is a great shooter that makes the most of its excellent audiovisuals to deliver a highly entertaining game which isn’t just a feast for the eyes, but is also great fun to play. Given that you haven’t come here for the story and are looking for a game with highly competitive PvP that will give you a few hours’ worth of fun, Twisted Tower is a safe bet for shooter fans. And if you’re someone who enjoys a macabre atmosphere and striking audiovisuals, you absolutely must play Twisted Tower. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)

That was 15 years ago now. However, with the passage of time, we’ve come to appreciate everything we overlooked back then. The very idea of a Western RPG based on *The Lord of the Rings* is, in itself, overwhelmingly compelling. Add to that some basic but effective combat, a few role-playing elements and the appearance of iconic characters from the series, and the mix should be perfect. It isn’t, but at the very least, it does the job and gives you exactly what you’re after: exploring Middle-earth whilst battling orcs, goblins and trolls. Could it have been more than just a graphical upgrade and additions that improve the game’s quality of life? Probably, but that would have required a remake – one which I do believe could have truly given this game the place it deserves.

7.5 / 10.0 - Farlands
Aug 24, 2026

In short, Farlands isn’t the genius who skips classes at school; it’s the classmate who, whilst capable of just scraping a pass based on their abilities, puts in the effort and ends up with a B. And, of course, for a debut game from someone who started out as a YouTuber rather than a game developer per se, it really is quite an achievement.

8.5 / 10.0 - The Sinking City 2
Aug 17, 2026

The Sinking City 2 is one of the most compelling survival horror games in recent years. Its oppressive Lovecraftian atmosphere, satisfying combat and cleverly designed puzzles come together in an adventure that truly understands what makes the genre work.

9.5 / 10.0 - Future Knight
Aug 13, 2026

It’s a game I can’t find a single fault with; everything about it is positive, and it delivers on everything it sets out to do perfectly. Future Knight is one of those games that proves there are still plenty of ideas left to explore in the world of video games

9 / 10.0 - Duskfade
Aug 13, 2026

I found Duskfade to be a very pleasant surprise. Its blend of action, platforming, exploration and collectables works really well, whilst its story gradually builds up to become a far more emotional adventure than it initially appears to be

8 / 10.0 - Dragon is Dead
Aug 8, 2026

Dragon Is Dead is a thoroughly intriguing blend of platforming, action and roguelite gameplay. However, whilst seasoned roguelite players will enjoy it immensely, I must emphasise that newcomers are likely to find it quite a struggle.

7.5 / 10.0 - Lifted
Jul 31, 2026

This is a very promising debut for Adventure Works. It doesn’t break new ground within the genre, but it manages to create a charming, entertaining adventure with a very distinct identity, thanks to its setting, its humour and its constant journey through different historical periods

9 / 10.0 - Decktamer
Jul 29, 2026

Decktamer is a card game that doesn’t break any new ground, but it brings a breath of fresh air to the deck-building roguelite genre. It’s a game that will make you think if you want you and your deck to make it out alive. It may not be ‘Inscryption 2’, but it doesn’t need to be to have you hooked on building the best possible deck.

8 / 10.0 - Dystopicon
Jul 28, 2026

It may not be a game for everyone, particularly given the stress it can cause in its later stages, but if you enjoy management simulators with a character of their own and dystopian stories, it’s well worth giving it a go. Palitroque proves that you don’t need a huge budget to create a game that entertains, makes you think and, along the way, makes the player feel a bit uneasy on more than one occasion.

A masterpiece. It’s not without its share of controversy due to certain decisions which, in my view, are actually the right ones. Being able to sprint, aim, use various types of weapons and explore reimagined environments is something I feel strongly works in its favour. Its art and graphics have constantly left me speechless; I’ve revelled in every single lumen and every blade of grass around me.
