Shadow Man: Remastered is a more polished version of a cult classic that is a treat for fans of the original and retro titles. The PlayStation 4 version is also redemption for the shortcomings of the PS1 version. Overall; it’s a reminder of the many underlooked titles that help define that era of video games.

BloodRayne: ReVamped is a polished classic that is also a reminder of how so many titles that defined an era have become lost to time. Sometimes one yearns for a simpler time when blockbuster AAA games and indie darlings were not the only options while there were plenty of over-the-top titles in-between.

Poison Control is an off-beat experience that takes players through the many layers of an anime inspired underworld. It has a solid story to share through the many upbeat circles of hell. It has some shortcomings but they will not hamper the experience too much.

The HD remaster version of Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse wants players to see the fun side of a zombie outbreak and it does it in all the right ways. Players will once again roam through the city of Punchbowl looking for love and revenge.

The PlayStation 4 version of CrossCode is both a tribute to the classics that inspired it and a masterpiece in its own right. It hits all the right marks because it knows the audience all too well. At the same time, it finds the perfect balance between appealing to ones nostalgia while also being an original experience.

Yeah Yeah Beebiss II wants to introduce the history of a lost game to a greater audience while capturing the essence of the 8-bit era. It has succeeded at doing both of those with one work of art. If you grew up playing such games or if you’re a fan of retro games then this is an experience you shouldn’t miss.
