Critic Reviews for Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable
I have faith that more can, and will, be done with Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable. Despite it leaving Early Access tomorrow, there's a heavy focus on an arcade-styled Titan-slaying experience with mind-blowingly exhilarating movement…and little else. This is a game that I can see myself playing and replaying with friends so long as they're fine with Unbreakable's quirks.
Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable offers fans of the acclaimed series the chance to experience some of its most iconic moments through VR.
Having never watched the Anime that Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable is based on I had no idea what to expect. What I was met with was swinging around like spiderman with blades almost as big as me and giant naked dudes’ hell bent on eating me, and boy oh boy did they eat me.
There are ideas and elements I appreciated in Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable, but the overall execution is clumsy.
If you are a hardcore Attack on Titan fan and simply want to immerse yourself in a passable facsimile of the world and kill some poorly rendered Titans, this is the game for you. If you are a passionate VR player who wants to experience everything the Quest store has to offer, you are another excellent candidate for this game. Short of those two things, though, I see very little reason to invest your time or money into Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable.
