The Elder Scrolls Online: Stonethorn is a content that features bleak lows as priceless highs: the offer is simply two new dungeons with related sets of armor, and if exploring the first is not so satisfying, completing the second is a glorious undertaking. The Dark Heart of Skyrim still has a card to play to wrap up its annual content cycle, and after the magnificence of Castle Thorn I wonder what the future holds for us to take stock of this bloody annual experience on The Elder Scrolls Online.

Monster Truck Championship is a title that aims at a certain type of passionate audience of the genre that manages to entertain for a few hours even if after some time it could be repetitive due to the few possibilities made available to the user even counting a low level of difficulty.

7 / 10.0 - Unrailed!
Oct 21, 2020

Unrailed! it’s a title that is worth playing in multiplayer, where it guarantees the maximum possible fun and its games are always very lively and management-based. If taken to play alone, however, it must be said that it does not pay much. For Indoor Astronauts, however, this is a good start and is definitely worth to promote. If you have a group to play with it will surely be a great way to spend a few hours in company .. trying to take as far as possible! And in the meantime, unlock many new and very different characters.

Re: Turn-One Way Trip is a game that I definitely started with good spirit, imagining to find a title with very simple mechanics but absurd and curious situations in line with other indie rpg horror genre products, and I was only partially disappointed; the lightness that characterizes the title actually remains one of its pivotal aspects, and all in all playing it was pleasant, at times interesting and fun, despite its limited content and depth. The biggest sore point lies in the epilogue of the plot: the final events are resolved in an unsatisfactory way, and it leaves us puzzled by the fact that everything is reduced to a minimum with so much approximation. A discreet title, a good pastime and a nice game for those looking for, as already mentioned, a "light" horror.

7.4 / 10.0 - Partisans 1941
Nov 1, 2020

The work of Alter Games is excellent and to be promoted: the peculiar setting and the atmosphere are the strengths of a game that stands on very solid foundations of RTS gameplay. It’s an experience that everyone can have, and if even veterans of the genre don’t find an adequate challenge, they will still be able to immerse themselves in the atmosphere that Partisans 1941 offers. A completely different matter is for newbies, who will be able to look out on a real bead of this kind and also have experience of an interesting topic treated like few other times.

The whole essence of the title revolves precisely around its desire to bring back to our times a title of 16 years ago: without having these premises in mind, the risk is to see only the defects that the game undeniably brings with it: a simplistic graphics sector and a gameplay that is far too canonical as it is fluid, these are only one side of the coin, while on the other there is a really commendable work by the developers to give birth to what is a real remake. Long-time fans of the series, however small and rare these are in the West, will find in Oneechanbara Origins a heart-warming return worthy of the best nostalgia operation, while those who didn’t know the franchise will be able to get closer to it thanks to this production and get a culture about it. No, I never thought I would say "get a culture" about a girl in a bikini and a cowboy hat who cuts zombies like fallow, but I suppose that this is just the magic of Oneechanbara.

7.7 / 10.0 - Fuser
Nov 10, 2020

I never would’ve thought a game like Fuser could win me over the way it did thanks to its incredible sounds that ultimately match the player’s sound. That’s precisely the beauty of this game, because it isn’t tied to only one music track, but it allows to create something that is pleasant and electrifying firstly to the player and also the everybody else. If the title were to add some further elements, it could easily become a virtually immortal game. Of course, the game won’t turn you into the new Martin Garrix, but I assure you it will entertain you for many hours to come.

This recent WOW expansion has everything it needs to stay within the MMORPG’s story: an epic story supported by a valid and varied campaign, that will lead us to explore many new settings, a new job and progression system, new factions and so much more. All of this, within the always magical frame provided by Blizzard. The result is a perfect circle all way around.

8 / 10.0 - Ghostrunner
Nov 11, 2020

The climb up to Dharma Tower is a raw, frustrating but also definitely satisfying experience. In Ghostrunner you’ll find yourself facing the same levels again and again in order to follow them through, in an entirely cyberpunk-themed trial and error. Overall, this is a valid product that focuses mainly on the gameplay and level design which is perfectly calibrated, and a bit less on the graphic and artistic side. Arm yourselves with lots of patience and, possibly, some extra control pads.

8.3 / 10.0 - DiRT 5
Nov 16, 2020

Dirt 5 shows up on the market with a convincing formula that aims to entertain players with the possibility of participating in many and well diversified races with tracks and circuits achieved almost to perfection. The visual impact is surely the part that astonishes most in this Codemasters’ work with tracks and effects that wrap the entire experience and make it surprising even within an only race.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Heart of the Forest is a good transposition from a RPG board game into a videogame, but which might not represent a good gaming experience precisely for this reason, especially to players unfamilliar with board games. The genre to which it belongs to has rhythms and dynamics that might meet only a handful of players’ requests, meaning those who are looking for beautiful stories to shape and live as they prefer without thinking too much about the gameplay.

8.6 / 10.0 - Double Pug Switch
Nov 17, 2020

Double Pug Switch is an excellent product that reaches entirely its modest goals with its apparent simplicity. The player will engage in a trial and error gameplay of sorts, and they will have to try and try again the levels but they will do so in a game that perfectly combines the challenge side to the exciting one, although it being a simple 2D platform.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Markarth manages to establish itself as a top quality content capable of more than closing the year on ESO. The crowning glory of Dark Heart of Skyrim comes in a complete and conscious way, with developers managing to focus on the narrative and single player systems that have been missing for a while on ESO. The closing of the chapter makes us reflect on what has passed in the last year, and it can be said without doubt that it has been a great year for ESO. My argonian, myself and the entire editorial staff of Serial Gamer Italia are proud to have taken part in this adventure and we can't wait to experience the next ones. The Next Gen has now started on consoles and our mouths are watering just thinking about what this generational change will mean for The Elder Scrolls Online.

Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory is a good game but a very bad Kingdom Hearts title! It’s a game with a deliberately arcade nature disguised for something more by adding only thirty minutes of storyline. I would have been sincerely happy if it had been proposed as a simple musical title of the saga, but totally unrelated to it from a narrative point of view and sold at a lower price. Tetsuya Nomura is a genius, but supporting him even in such rambling projects could turn out to be bad over time. If you are looking for the magic of Kingdom Hearts in a new iteration you will have to wait a little longer, but if you simply want a rythm game dedicated to one of the most accurate sagas from a musical point of view, Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory is right for you.

Bridge Constructor: The Walking Dead: is that a yes or a no? The most obvious answer to be given is a sharp "SO AND SO". The title will surely thrill fans of the original series who will find interesting challenges to overcome in the various levels; for everyone else, however, the game can get boring after a few hours due to the fact that it could take more than half an hour to pass a level. In case you just can't do without The Walking Dead, a chance could be given to the title of Headup.

7.9 / 10.0 - Spirit of the North
Nov 26, 2020

Spirit of the North is a work of excellent quality, which is worth playing on both PS4 and PS5. Its Enhanced Edition is an excellent opportunity to enjoy the gaming experience on next gen, and in addition to giving credit to the work of the developers, it greatly improves practically every part of the adventure, with particular results in the graphics sector. The goal is therefore centered and whether it is your first trip, whether it is the umpteenth time that you find yourself traveling through the snow-capped mountains, Spirit of the North: Enhanced Edition is an opportunity to be seized immediately, and now everyone has the possibility to do it on next gen thanks to the work of Infuse Studio. The mountains will be cold and the valleys will be lonely, but following the fox is a great way to make sense of the journey.

Football Manager 2021 does not try to innovate the classic and well-established formula now reached with the last chapters of the series but makes some small changes that are not particularly relevant. As always, fans of the series will have a disproportionate amount of hours in their hands with the possibility of bringing their favorite team to the roof of international stages.

6.5 / 10.0 - Tesla Force
Nov 29, 2020

Despite all its weaknesses Tesla Force managed to entertain me a lot. A title with a very casual and arcade imprint that could appeal to many casual and non-casual players, especially thanks to its virtual infinity. It must be said, however, that after unlocking and upgrading everything to the maximum, the title loses much of its difficulty and charm, becoming less and less satisfying. If you’re new to this saga, Tesla Force could be an interesting product to play in its full arcade nature, in case you have already made the acquaintance of the "occult duo" the experience could be less captivating than expected, as you have the feeling of being in front of an Enhanced Edition rather than a new chapter.

The project of rebirth of the Call of Duty brand continues with Activision that has found the right way to get the brand back on track and after the excellent work of Infinity Ward and Raven Software with Modern Warfare, the ball has passed into the hands of Treyarch who has been able to continue what has been seen previously by bringing back the events narrated in the original chapter of Black Ops by reviving iconic characters and the historic Cold War. The multiplayer manages to give good feedback by taking up the feeling of the Black Ops series also using the amazing feature of the adaptive triggers that are able to give unique sensations when played on PS5.

Morbid: The Seven Acolytes is a game that managed to grab me from the moment I ventured into it; it must have been due to the Lovecraftian setting, which has always been one of my favorites, its challenging level or its peculiar and winning artistic sector ... or much more likely the combination of the previous ones. A game that could satisfy the tastes of a wide branch of the public due to its genre that has now become a founding pillar of videogaming, but which could also be a first approach to it for those who are not practical with soulslike. An indie title that in its simplicity could be as valid as one of the triple A to which it is inspired.
