9.5 / 10.0 - Bloodborne
Mar 27, 2015

‎Bloodborne tests your skills as a gamer immerses you in a wonderfully terrible dead-skinned world and above all ensure that you want nothing more than to play this game. We simply can't get enough of it. Bloodborne is one for in the history books.‎

9.5 / 10.0 - Nier: Automata
Mar 6, 2017

‎As far as we are concerned, the use of Platinum Games has been a golden move by Yoko Taro. In Nier Automata, the team of the Japanese brain has created a mysterious and beautiful world, with a story in which you constantly doubt yourself. Meanwhile, Platinum Games has delivered a brilliant combat system, complete with extremely smooth animations and surprising depth. The Nier Automata release may fall a bit unhappily between big names like ‎‎The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild‎‎ and ‎‎Horizon: Zero Dawn,‎‎ but it would be a shame to let this game pass you by.‎

9.5 / 10.0 - Grand Theft Auto V
Apr 16, 2015

‎Still, GTA 5 for the PC is without a doubt the ultimate version. The game looks spectacular and this time you're driving around with that song on the radio that you can listen to 30 times in a row. The controls with mouse and keyboard make it tricky for you at times, but you can set everything up to your liking or play with a controller. The only downside is in GTA Online where you sometimes come across bugs and glitches that were there on the consoles as well. Despite this, it's now time to play for hundreds of hours again and GTA 5 is hugely addictive!‎

‎The vibrant world of The Northern Realms is so vast and includes so much content that you could dedicate a book to it. The leading RPG of the year has arrived, one that won't be matched, let alone surpassed, in the near future. Take that red marker and circle May 19, 2015, but in the agenda: that day, a new standard will definitely be set in gaming.‎

‎Everyone thought it couldn't be even better, but Rocksteady did it. Batman Arkham Knight is the last and also the best game in the series! Everything has been worked out down to the last detail and the game plays wonderfully away. This is an absolute ‎‎must-have‎‎ for your collection. The only thing we can say about Arkham Knight is: go and ‎‎buy‎‎ the game!‎

9.5 / 10.0 - Returnal
Feb 22, 2023

The PC-port of Returnal fixes one of the biggest issues of the Playstation-version; not being able to safely quit the game without losing progress. In keeps its smooth combat, even with a mouse and keyboard and allows the graphics too be even better on modern hardware. An amazing roguelike with just a few minor complaints.

‎Nintendo had quite a bit to live up to. Since the announcement of this game, director Masahiro Sakurai has been throwing coals on the fire of the Hype Train with his ‎‎daily screenshots,‎‎teasers and cryptic comments in Nintendo Directs. The poor man has almost worked his way into the grave with the latest smash, but he succeeded; Super Smash Bros For Wii U is more than worth it. Super Smash Bros for Wii U is without a doubt the best game for the Wii U this year.‎

Final Fantasy 7 Remake might be an early contender for Game of the Year 2020 thanks to a wonderful retelling of an iconic game. While it's only the first part in a larger story, there is no denying that the reworked combat system, deep RPG mechanics and iconic characters feel right at home in 2020. The graphics and mucis themselves are art and with new elements in the story there is plenty of love to go around even when your not going after Shinra.

9.4 / 10.0 - Dead Space (Remake)
Feb 4, 2023

Dead Space is how a remake is supposed to be. The game is full of big and small improvements that make the experience even more intense, but also even better than the original and that with graphics and sound that are completely current-gen is. When you play the game, it really feels like the Dead Space of before, but as soon as you hold both versions next to each other you only notice well how big the differences actually are. That's exactly what a Really good remake features: the preservation of good elements and improvements that don't stand out.

9.4 / 10.0 - Diablo IV
May 30, 2023

Blizzard actually pulled it off. Almost all the elements click correctly in the latest part of Diablo. The story, the characters, the dungeons, the endless possibilities with your character, the open world and much more, it works exceptionally well together. That does not mean that the game is completely flawless, because Diablo IV suffers from problems that games of this size often have.

9.3 / 10.0 - It Takes Two
Mar 24, 2021

It Takes Two is an amazing game that keeps players on their toes with its impeccable pacing in both story and gameplay. This 3D platformer mixes genres every step of the way in a magical ride through different locals. At the center, though, is a great love story full of heartwarming moments and plenty of laughs to boot.

9.3 / 10.0 - Persona 5
Mar 31, 2017

Persona 5 is arguably one of the best JPRG's that has seen the light of day here. In addition, the game is also accessible to both acquaintances of the franchise and newcomers. If you're a huge fan of anime and narrative JRPGs, this game is an absolute must for your collection.‎

God of War is even better than it was in 2018 thanks to the power of the PC. With an uncapped framerate, native 4K and Ultra-Wide Screen support the game looks amazing and plays even better. If you're new to the series, this is the place to start.

Many would consider remaking a classic like Resident Evil 4 impossible. However Capcom has taken up the gauntlet and managed to make the classic even better. With an expanded storyline, better movement options and fighting skills, as well as many big and small quality of life improvements, this remake is better in almost every way, except for the graphics, which could have done with a bit more polish

Link's Awakening is back in all it's timeless glory. The main game hasn't aged a day and doesn't need any new gameplay experiences to convince anyone. It does profit from its quality of life changes, beautiful artstyle and memorable soundtrack.

9.3 / 10.0 - Final Fantasy XVI
Jun 21, 2023

Final Fantasy XVI is a complete package with a refreshingly mature storyline, full of surprises that keeps raising the stakes. The switch to real-time fights is daring step, but works most of the time, as long as the graphical effects don't blur what's going on. The game can be greatily adapted to facilitate those that mostly play for the story, but also those that are looking for a real challenge. The most epic fights, those between the Eikons, are visually impressive, but a bit too hands-off.

This remaster might feel a bit superfluous as the original PS4 version was already great. However, the added features including the commentary, deleted scenes and the new roguelike game mode are welcome additions. For new players, this remastered version is definitely the right choice. For owners of the PS4 version, the extras and extra graphical fidelity might be enough to entice the relatively small upgrade fee.
