Star Wars Outlaws is a delightful adventure with a charismatic new hero. The stealth gameplay is fun, but the missions do get repetitive after a while. Thankfully the game is a looker, with some beautiful planets to explore as a side-adventure.

Beware a big bump in difficulty, but Shadow of the Erdtree is a must-play for Elden Ring-fans. It improves on the base game in every way. The new Lands of Shadow are beautiful and a joy to explore, there are a lot of exciting new weapons and spells to find, and the new boss fights are absolutely epic.

The Side Order DLC adds an interesting new mode to Splatoon 3. The Tower of Order is surprisingly challenging and the gameplay is diverse with color chips to change your playstyle. However, we would have liked to see some more variation in challenges and boss fights, which makes the randomized floors feel the same a bit too quickly. For the price however, Side Order is a must-have DLC for fans of Splatoon 3.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is a successful movie adaptation in the sense that it offers very smooth gameplay and a beautiful world to explore. It's also a very rewarding experience to explore Pandora. When you are fighting the RDA or making your way through the world, you feel very much a Na'vi, but all the local terminlogy can be very confusing. Unfortunately, frequent framedrops and crashes somewhat spoiled our experience on PC, preventing the game from delivering the magical experience it could have.

8 / 10.0 - Starfield
Aug 31, 2023

Starfield is a Bethesda RPG in every sense of the word. It offers a large, rich and intriguing world, filled with sidequests and a mysterious main story. The possibility to enter your spaceship and explore the galaxy and fight space pirates is really fun. It has however a few strange bugs, the graphics can change a lot and firefights miss something extra. We’re certain though that RPG fans can easily spend hundreds of hours in Starfield.

Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart was already a beautiful game on the PlayStation 5 and Nixxes Software managed to improve it on PC. The game looks absolutely astonishing and fluid, as if you are walking an Pixar movie. And not only can you enjoy the interdimensional adventure with a controller, the controls for mouse and keyboard are really well implemented. It's just a shame that the PC port has problems with certain hardware combinations.

Land of the Morning Light is a change of pace for Black Desert, but it works pretty well. The folklore stories are beautiful and set players up for the endgame-system, altough new players don't learn a lot about combat. The new area is also beautiful, with traditional Korean architecture and gorgeous sceneries. And the expansion is free for all players!

8 / 10.0 - Redfall
May 2, 2023

However, the adventure can get quite lonely if you play alone, especially because of the not memorable characters. And while the world can be atmospheric and eerie, we do miss the finish we've come to expect from Arkane. If you are looking for a game that offers fun alone or together with friends (but no strangers) then you have come to the right place at Redfall.

PC-players have been waiting a long time for The Last of Us, but alas the port is not up to standards. The performance can swing wildly from scene to scene and there are a lot of technical issues. It's a shame, because the gameplay and especially the story is still a masterpiece. We hope Naughty Dog en Iron Galaxy can fix the issues, because a game as The Last of Us Part 1 deserves a good version on PC.

9 / 10.0 - Hogwarts Legacy
Feb 6, 2023

A new adventure in the Wizarding World has seemed like an excellent idea for years and Avalanche Software has proven with gusto what is possible. Players are treated to an extensive story with a completely new cast of characters, a beautiful world full of content and a battle system that is strongly put together.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is the 40K-version of the Vermintide games and Fatshark delivers again a fantastic co-op experience. The combat feels visceral and meaty and is a true upgrade compared to the former games. There are however a lot less classes, even though they all feel unique. Some features are clearly removed during production, so hopefully they will get added next to more classes. Fatshark has already released some updates, so the future is looking bright for Darktide.

Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered is as good on PC as it was on PlayStation. In fact, the many graphics options and support for different controls arguably make it better. There are a few unfortunate bugs, but those can't hold the excellence of Insomniac's take on our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man back.

8 / 10.0 - F1 22
Jun 27, 2022

F1 22 can fall back on a solid foundation that Codemasters has further developed. The career modes are like a house and there is also plenty to do online. With the new options, a Grand Prix also feels a bit more realistic, especially if you put on VR glasses. So F1 22 is certainly not the revolution players might have hoped for, but for Formula 1 fans there's plenty to keep you entertained this year.‎

With the next-gen version Rockstar has brought us the ultimate version of Grand Theft Auto 5. The graphics have been improved a lot, the loading times are much faster and the PS5-version even has a couple of features for the DualSense controller. The question, however, is whether you want to replay the same adventure again, as there is no new content, nor any improvements or additions to the gameplay. A version purely made for newcomers or true fans of GTA 5.

‎Ubisoft Sofia has delivered such a big expansion with Dawn of Ragnarok that it can almost be seen as a new game. Especially since the story of Eivor does not continue, but rather the saga of Odin is told. During the approximately fifteen-hour story you will encounter some missions that feel familiar, but it should not spoil the fun.‎

9.8 / 10.0 - Elden Ring
Feb 28, 2022

‎The ambition for Elden Ring was great at FromSoftware, but the Japanese developer has fulfilled all the promises and added to that. All the lessons that the studio has learned in the past year have come together in one game and can rightly be called the Magnum Opus from FromSoftware.‎

9 / 10.0 - Deathloop
Sep 13, 2021

Deathloop proves that the concept of Groundhog Day also works in games. The story is phenomenal, mostly thanks due to the excellent voice-acting. Arkane focuses again on stealth, but also gives the play more options for all-out warfare, with a plethora of guns, special powers, and upgrades. The stay on Blackreef Island can get a little bit repetitive after multiple time loops, but the island itself is beautifully crafted, and the ending makes it all worth it. Arkane once again hit it out of the park!

8 / 10.0 - No More Heroes 3
Aug 27, 2021

No More Heroes is finally back with it's third part and it's a typical game for the franchise. The bossfights are insanely good, the humour is black and over-the-top and the whole game oozes with style. The return of the boring open world is a mystery however and not every joke is super-effective. If you can't wait to put yourself in the shoes of Travis Touchdown again however, you can't miss No More Heroes III!

With The Siege of Paris Ubisoft delivers another excellent expansion for Assassin's Creed Valhalla. The main story line is diverse and much more than just a siege, Paris and the surrounding areas are beautifully crafted and rats are an interessant new mechanic - altough not always executed that well.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Blackwood offers a lot of new content, just like previous chapters for the popular MMO. The storyline and new region feels a bit less special than heavy-hitters like Elsweyr and Summerset and the expansion doesn't offer any new classes and skill lines. It's not a bad chapter, but it's by far the weakest expansion for ESO so far.
