Wrath of the Druids is an excellent first DLC for Assassin's Creed Valhalla. The expansion offers a challenging new enemy, a comprehensive story, and a beautiful country to explore. Not everything is perfect, but if this is the benchmark for future DLC, then players will be very happy!

World of Warcraft is already 15 years old, but you won't notice that playing Shadowlands. The new expansion offers interesting new customization options through the Covenants, the new areas look stunning and Torghast adds a new challenge for players. While there is more focus on the story, it does mean a much more linear experience however and the new antagonist, The Jailer, hasn't convinced us yet. Hopefully, that changes as Shadowlands gets new content updates, such as the upcoming raids.

Mafia Definitive Edition is how a classic game should be remade. It keeps the soul of the original and pulls the title back into the modern era of games. The amazing story is kept intact with only a couple of changes here and there, including a totally new cast of voice actors. It's only a pity that the new version of Paulie is not up to snuff. Besides that, however, Hangar 13 has done an amazing job to introduce the original Mafia to a new audience and the game deserves to be played.

The Fallout 76 Wastelanders update might be the salvation of the game. The free expansion finally adds NPCs to the world and adds a lot of new content. Bethesda also improved the graphics, in particular the lighting system. It's still not technically perfect however and the new additions come with their own problems. Still, the Wastelanders update is a giant leap for Fallout 76.

Elder Scrolls Online Greymoor is the next chapter in the impressive MMO. The new story is dark, which is strengthened by the cold province of Skyrim and the impressive Dwemer city of Blackreach. It might not feature a new class or skill line, but the new Vampire skill line and the Antiquities system make it worth your while. Add the challenging harrowstorms, new dungeons and the Trial and it's strong package that we can highly recommend to every ESO player.

Monster Hunter World Iceborne is an expansion by the book. There is tons of new content, including exciting new monsters, weapon and armor sets. The Clutch Claw and new attacks add to the gameplay and are really needed for the challenging Master Rank quests. On PC the new areas look even better, including support for widescreen. We still recommend however to avoid mouse and keyboard. If Capcom can keep this quality up, the franchise has a bright future ahead.

Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC is everything that the console version was but better, although with some caveats. The controls are improved with mouse and keyboard, but are still a bit clunky. The graphics are breathtaking, but it does requires a beefy PC and there are some technical problems. If you can run it however, it's one of the best games the platform has to offer.

Thanks to a mix-and-match of different genres Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the best Star Wars-game is years. Combat and traversal is challenging and diverse, puzzles will require your brain and Force powers are cleverly used in every part of the game. Besides all that it even provides a more than decent story for fans of the franchise.

9 / 10.0 - The Outer Worlds
Oct 22, 2019

Obsidian Entertainment has created a hefty laundry list of RPGs, and it's noticeable that they've learned from previous titles. For example, fans of Fallout: New Vegas will see a lot of elements return, and as far as we're concerned, that's a good thing. The game offers an extensive main story that will keep you sweet for 25 to 30 hours, lots of side missions with countless choices and delicious black humor. The amount of planets could only be a little bigger as far as we're concerned and the combat feels a bit clunky at times, but that shouldn't spoil the fun. The Outer Worlds is Obsidian Entertainment's best RPG to date.

It's shorter than Forsaken, but offers a story that spreads the entire season and adds loads of successful changes. Armor 2.0 is the biggest change and it's a brilliant move. We do hope that Bungie adds more loot, because at the moment it's pretty barebones.

This DLC fails to overcome the criticisms that dragged down the original game. The story is short and without surprises and mostly relies on some fun side quests. Luckily the gunplay is still as amazing as it was back in May and thanks to some welcome new additions the gameplay only gets better.

8.5 / 10.0 - The Surge 2
Oct 1, 2019

Deck13 has learned from the first game and it has notably improved The Surge 2. Combat is visceral and fluid and the limb-targeting system remains brilliant. The level design has greatly improved and the bossfights stand out more, altough there are a couple of dull fights left. The developer still needs to learn how to write an interesting story though, because this one couldn't peak our interest.

9.5 / 10.0 - Borderlands 3
Sep 13, 2019

Borderlands 3 has surpassed the bar that its predecessor had set. The story is grand in scale, the humor is on-point and updated to 2019, weapons are diverse and the new Vault Hunters are unique in every way. Every BL-fan must pick this game up.

Ancestors The Humankind Odyssey is a unique game. You must guide your clan through time and evolution, which is fun with lots of experimentation. There's also a lot of frustration to be had however. Still, the game offers a special experience.

Age of Wonders Planetfall takes on a new coat of paint for the franchise and does it well. The six factions are unique, the tactical combat is amazing and there are loads of choices to make. The perfect game to put hundreds of hours in.

Elder Scrolls Online Elsweyr is the best expansion for the MMO yet. The new zone is beautiful, the Necromancer class is excellent and the story is engaging. Although the story does take some notes from other popular media.

8 / 10.0 - Rage 2
May 13, 2019

The collaboration between id Software and Avalanche Studios has been successful by joining forces with the two forces of the studios. Thanks to id Software, the game has a rock-solid gameplay with various weapons and powers, and with Avalanche Studios' engine, the world has become beautiful, the color splashes off the screen, and there are many vehicles to use. That's why it's such a shame that the storyline is so short and has no surprises of its own, so the lion's share of RAGE 2 comes from the side missions and activities. What remains is a short, but powerful game that secretly could have lasted a lot longer.

The final episode of Legacy of the First Blade is a worthy ending to the DLC. It has an exciting, although short, story and interesting dialogues with other characters. The episode also adds a new ability, but doesn't shake up the gameplay in any way.

One Piece World Seeker has ambition, but fails to perfect the execution. The camera is horrible, side quests don't add anything and the large island feels empty. Thankfully the many skills and interesting main quests save what little there is left.

7.5 / 10.0 - Anthem
Feb 22, 2019

Anthem is an ambitious project and it paid off for BioWare in some measure. The gameplay is spectacular, the story is good and has a challenging endgame. But annoyances sometimes spoil it and it's up to BioWare to fix those problems for the future.
