Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII- Reunion is an impressive remaster that makes the game far more fluid than the original but it is limited by its PSP origins.
Marvel's Midnight Suns’ story may be a bit on the safe side but character interactions, tons of side content, and an exceptionally enjoyable combat system make this a must play tactical RPG.
A much more modern and enjoyable beat 'em up than its predecessor, River City Girls 2 does almost everything right. Despite that, its performance issues get in the way of the fun.
The Callisto Protocol offers some meaty melee combat and is one of the best looking games around but its poor story, lack of scares, and other issues will leave fans wanting.
Minor gameplay tweaks and some cool visuals are introduced, but that's hardly enough to keep any part of the game above average. Not great but also not terrible.
Erik and Mia return to consoles in a fully-featured spin-off that is as addictive as it is satisfying for anyone ready to hunt some loot.
Samurai Maiden’s action may feel generic and its story is lacking but some great characters and interactions help make this anime action game at least a bit enjoyable.
Tactics Ogre: Reborn remains an incredibly impressive strategy RPG with new enhancements making it all the better, though Square Enix’s smoothing filter does a bad job with the sprites.
The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me tries new things that don’t work the best but still tells a fearful tale closer to reality, offering a modern twisted take on a historical killer.
Evil West is an action game that features very unique concepts. Its combat system is innovative and fun, but its lethargic pacing holds it back from achieving greatness.
The only impressive thing about this game is how it fails miserably on every front. Who was this for, and what was the idea behind it - all those questions will remain unanswered.
Pokémon Scarlet doesn't have the level of polish one would expect, yet still offers another fantastic evolution of a franchise that continues to give fans new ways to catch them all.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is an improvement over the previous game on almost every front. Strong enough to stand on its own, with a shorter but more focused narrative.
Star Ocean: The Divine Force delivers fast paced combat and a great setting that allows it to tell an engrossing tale but a number of visual choices heavily damper the experience.
A fairly fun action game up that is full to the brim with annoying bugs. Fans of the show and beat 'em ups must approach with caution. Everyone else should just stay clear for now.
Sonic slides into a new entry that brings us back to basics in grand fashion. While not perfect, Sonic Frontiers is exactly what the franchise needed.
Harvestella tells an enthralling tale filled with gorgeous designs and interesting characters but it's simple gameplay mechanics hold it back from truly shining.
Potionomics combines management sim, crafting, and deck building together to create a fine game that oozes with charm but is far stricter than it appears.
Bayonetta 3 is a delicious sequel to the action-packed franchise we all know and love. While it doesn't re-invent the wheel, this witch shows she still has a lot more to offer.
Great campaign, coupled with intense multiplayer mayhem but all of that is dragged down by an infuriating number of freezes, crashes, and stutters - both in single-player and multiplayer.
