Incantation is a story-driven game that expands on the lore from the hit 2022 film. The dark, creepy atmosphere makes the mysterious village a place you want to stay far away from, but the story will keep you engaged and wanting to find out more. Incantation may be a short game, but it will leave a lasting impact and is a story to be remembered. “Hou-ho-xiu-yi, si-sei-wu-ma!”
One of our favourite publishers here at MKAU Gaming, Devolver Digital, once again returns to the forefront with Minos. Developed by Artificer, Minos, as you may have guessed from the name alone, does, in fact, feature the Greek mythological beast, the Minotaur, but not in the way you would expect.
Overall, Cooking Simulator 2: Better Together is a masterfully crafted cooking simulation game. I must stress this is a very in-depth simulation, not a casual cooking game. You will have to expertly season all your food correctly, prepare all your ingredients, have a station ready to go, and order correctly for the day before you even think about managing the business side of the restaurant. There are hours of fun in the game if this is what you are into.
Looking at the developer road map as well, there is so much more coming to what is already a polished game. This is a must-play if you are into this genre; you will be laughing your head off and having fun for a very low entry price. Don’t hesitate; see if you have what it takes to pay off your debt.
I’ll be honest: I never was a fan of The Division. Rough start to a review, right? But hear me out.
Life is Strange: Reunion is a strong send-off to Max and Chloe’s story for gamers who have been there since the beginning or picked up on the way through.
The Switch 2 version isn’t just an upgrade with better-looking graphics; it is packed with loads of new content. With a wide range of offline and online multiplayer modes to work together or against each other, fan favourite characters Rosalina and Luma being added to the playable roster, and all seven Koopalings returning with their own unique boss battles, there is so much to do and enjoy on top of the base game.
Playing these games again will bring back childhood memories for longtime fans and allow newcomers to experience a bit of nostalgia. Marvel MaXimum Collection is the opportunity for True Believers to own some pieces of Marvel gaming history. In the words of the late great Stan Lee, “Excelsior!”
Darwin’s Paradox is one of those rare games that feels super confident in every aspect of what it’s trying to do, delivering a unique, polished and genuinely memorable experience from start to finish. It blends creative gameplay, a strong visual identity, and an immersive atmosphere into something that stands out in a crowded space.
Overall, Dysplaced, for me, is a cozy, dungeon questing game; it is a lot of genres mixed into one, and it works. It’s hard to pigeonhole this game into a specific genre, and that’s what I love about it: it can be many different games to different people.
GRIME II is a worthy successor that reinvents itself to create a whole new experience to distinguish it from the original game. It features some quality-of-life updates while keeping all the core mechanics and the horror theme with a new art style.
Jesus Simulator is an interesting concept, turning one of the most well-known stories in history into an interactive experience, and I’ll give it some credit for trying something different. The narrative approach is respectful and easy to follow, and the inclusion of the mini-games helps break up the story. However, the game struggles to deliver on what could have been potential. Between the lifeless world design, stiff animations, poor graphical quality and lack of immersion, it becomes difficult to stay engaged.
Marathon is a high-stakes sci-fi PvPvE. From the tense, loot-driven loops on Tau Ceti IV to the unforgiving, labyrinthine decks of Cryo Archive, the game keeps you constantly on edge while rewarding careful planning, teamwork and skilful play. Every run feels unique, whether you’re pushing through security, racing over crews to vaults, or trying to make it out alive with your rare loot.
Within the community, it is commonly believed that Death Stranding is better experienced on the PC due to its graphical enhancements, and Death Stranding 2 – On the beach will be the same, in my opinion. This title is something special and is a must-play for new players and old fans alike. Be prepared to have your breath taken away by the beauty and the horror that is Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.
Longtime fans may not like some of the changes, but the added features, especially the new endings, will give them plenty of incentive to play through the story again for a new experience, and it’s also a great way for newcomers who may be interested to get into the series. Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake is an experience unlike any other.
This is what the gaming community needs: developers who want to push the boundaries and lead, not follow what has been done before. This one is a must-play for all of you who love arcade racing games; it’s high-octane fun with a mix of classic golden-era gaming and anime.
Fallout 4 was already an impressive game back in 2015, and many players still go back to it today, and it gets a new lease on life on the Switch 2. Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition is just as thrilling as before and will have you gearing up in your vault suit and strapping on the Pip-Boy once again.
Overall, John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando is a very solid game in a genre that is flooded. Except for the vehicle aspect, it doesn’t do anything different that sets it apart from other zombie horde games, but it is still a quality product and scores very highly in my opinion. By yourself or with a few mates, you will have hours of fun. The different zombies, the optimised hordes, the storyline and beautiful environment really make this title the complete package.
Pokémon Pokopia is the kind of creature comfort we cosy gamers need to keep us happy in our own habitats, providing a chill, healing space to escape to.
Overall, Crabmeat is a nice little game. It takes the realistic machines and processes from crab fishing and mixes them into a horror game. While this is an unusual mix, with the storyline, it actually works. If you’re after a little challenge and enjoy the fishing process, jump in and see if you have what it takes to clear your debt and head back to society; your family will thank you.
