Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is a great compilation that includes seven different games that marked the past of many of us.

Enotria: The Last Song is a bittersweet comedy that could have made a lasting impact if it hadn't stubbornly insisted on being a Souls-like game. Jyamma crafted an undeniably intriguing world and demonstrated the ability to develop fresh and engaging ideas in terms of game design. Unfortunately, everything falls apart due to inexperience, as the foundations that support the game never prove to be as solid and polished as one would expect from a title of this genre. The result is a combat system that feels imperfect, clumsy, unbalanced, and trapped by the notion of delivering a "difficult experience just because the genre demands it."

NBA 2K25 is the cherry on top of an already incredible experience. Visual Concepts has managed to blend the old with the new, enhancing classic features while introducing innovations that make the game even more engaging, complete, and accessible to everyone.

Concord is a title with too many uncertainties. On one hand, the gunplay and technical aspects are solid, showcasing the commitment and quality of the development team. On the other hand, problematic balancing and a lack of originality in the artistic direction compromise the overall experience.

Age of Mythology: Retold does everything you'd expect from a high-level remaster (which is almost a remake, given the significant changes) of a high-level game. There are some flaws, and perhaps more effort could have been put into the gameplay to find even more innovative solutions, especially since the decision was made not to recreate it on a 1:1 scale.

Star Wars: Outlaws is not the open-world Star Wars dream we had hoped for, but we can't deny that Kay Vess' adventure was still enjoyable. Unfortunately, Ubisoft didn't stray far from its typical open-world formula and fell short with the protagonist, who lacks the effective characterization needed to make players empathize with her or become truly invested in her story.

Black Myth: Wukong is a perfect video game representation of the concept of Yin and Yang. For every element that amazes the player, there is an equally opposite one that brings them back down to earth. Nevertheless, this is an excellent debut for Game Science in the realm of AAA titles, as well as a well-crafted and enjoyable action game that can captivate and engross players for dozens of hours. Familiarity with "Journey to the West," the work that inspired it, allows one to appreciate the many nuances that show the developers' love for the original material. However, even without knowing the story of Sun Wukong, Game Science’s work is a title we recommend to anyone who enjoys action RPGs with a strong narrative component.

Setting an invasion of the undead, led by a ruthless pantheon, in an American Civil War context could be a good enough reason on its own to give Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn a chance. But if you add to this a gameplay that, although clearly inspired by its more famous counterparts, manages to present a handful of truly interesting ideas, then there are no real reasons not to try A44 Games' production at least once.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is a game that successfully blends action, strategy, and management elements, offering a varied and engaging experience. My initial hesitation towards the strategy genre turned into growing satisfaction as I progressed through the levels, thanks in part to the highly inspired artistic direction and attention to Japanese cultural details that make Capcom's title unique and captivating. However, certain aspects, such as character design and the storyline, could have been improved.

Anger Foot can be considered a good successor to Hotline Miami, although it doesn't quite match it. It's not an experience for everyone, as it proves to be very challenging and often frustrating, especially for those not accustomed to this type of game. However, the great level design and high-profile artistic component make the production by Free Lives and Devolver noteworthy.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is a product that once again proves Atlus right. We may completely disagree with the work done in the re-edition phase and especially with this policy adopted by the Japanese publisher, which after a few years releases an improved version of something made shortly before, but in the end, we must admit that Vengeance is the result of an excellent correction of some of the excessive elements of the original.

Luigi's Mansion 2 HD is a clear example of Nintendo's strategy to revisit and enhance classic titles to adapt them for modern consoles. With improved graphics and updated features, this remake offers a gaming experience that maintains the charm of the original while introducing new elements that make it enjoyable even in 2024. However, some limitations persist, such as the inability to save during missions, which could be frustrating for some, and the absence of a multiplayer mode during the campaign.

What Ninja Theory has achieved transcends reality, creating a work that is practically perfect for what it aimed to be: an audiovisual adventure with a strong narrative component. Beyond state-of-the-art graphics and sound that will undoubtedly set a standard in the coming years, what truly astonishes is the maturity with which the team has taken an excellent game like the first Hellblade and molded it into something so qualitatively impressive that it becomes difficult to even describe. This elevates the medium to a new communicative level, capable of evoking emotions and surprising players from start to finish. Experiences like Hellblade 2, which leave a lasting impression on the soul, are few and far between in a generation, and we can only rejoice in seeing how the beautiful artistic vision of the Ninja Theory team has become a reality.

Stellar Blade, as remarked several times during the review, turns out to be a collection of elements taken by weight from other productions and put together into a composition that while cohesive, seems soulless.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is a lesson from Square-Enix to Square-Enix: Final Fantasy XVI and Naoki Yoshida pale in the face of the construction of gameplay and everything beyond Rebirth's narrative. From moving around with the Chocobo to exploring a huge world, to think that this will only be the second chapter in a trilogy leaves us to imagine how huge the concluding one might be, which will give us a chance to explore everything again with Cid's Highwind.

Rise Of The Ronin is not a missed opportunity but certainly not one of those exclusives that will be remembered for years to come, either. The excellent combat system crafted by Team Ninja, along with an engaging story that is respectful of the historical period used as a setting, make it an enjoyable game and, certainly, capable of beguiling fans of Ronin, Samurai and stories set in ancient Japan. At the same time, however, an obvious inexperience with the reference genre, coupled with an insufficient technical compartment.
