The original Nordics is a great game, and the new stuff is amazing. The complete Proud package is phenomenal and if you haven’t played the original, the $70 complete package is a must buy. But if you already played Nordics, I would avoid this one. That’s a tough ask because fans of the series would have already played Nordics when it first released, but you must trust me on this one. If you played the original, wait for this one to go on sale or for a standalone DLC pack.
Pokopia is not a great Pokémon game. It’s a great Animal Crossing game and a great Minecraft game that’s disguised as a Pokémon game. That’s what makes it so special. There are so many reasons to play Pokopia, and the only excuse not to is the Switch 2 exclusivity. But that’s honestly a poor excuse. Pokopia could very well be one of the biggest games of 2026.
It’s pricy at $70, but it’s as good as many of the other turn-based RPG’s and monster catching games that came out recently.
While Seafrog is a very chill and cozy game, the mechanics could become a bit difficult for some people. I already mentioned how the controls can be a bit unforgiving, and boss battles might be a bit tough. People who love challenging games will enjoy this, but you’re also going to have a lot of fun skateboarding around the ship.
Even with all my personal gaming red flags, I really enjoyed playing through the game because it was quite the cinematic experience. People who love this kind of storytelling and gameplay will get even more out of the game than I did.
It’s a sweet and charming game that’s surprisingly dark with an amazing combat system.
With that said, FUR Squadron Phoenix is a fun and addicting game. It’s mindless shooting with fast-paced movement, a nice visual style, and some visual novel storytelling here and there. Even after beating all the stages, I was constantly going back to try to get high scores on some of the stages. $20 is a bit steep for a game you might beat in two or three hours but it’s quite the experience that has a lot of replay value.
It’s like Rune Factory meets Dreamlight Valley and I can look past the writing because of how clean and fun the actual gameplay is.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is a must buy, regardless of if you played it before or not. It’s the definitive version of one of the best JRPG’s of all time.
The stakes are as big as ever, and the grand scale of world building and character development continue to outpace what most story-driven RPGs can only dream of.
Overall, Fairy Tail Dungeons is a solid game. Good gameplay and soundtrack, fun characters, and a decent story. If this was an original game without the Fairy Tail nostalgia, it would still be solid.
With all that being said, is Pokémon Legends Z-A a good Pokémon game? Personally, I really liked the city layout, the characters, and the battle system. But I did also think that the overall story was weaker than some previous titles and there was a lot more repetition involved.
It’s such a relaxing game at its core. You’re just digging a hole, collecting all the resources, upgrading stuff, and continuing the cycle over and over until the very end.
despelote is a short game that might only take two or three hours but it’s worth every second. It’s a very charming game that only costs $14.99, so it’s worth a buy.
If you’re looking for a polished sports title, Dunk Dunk isn’t completely worth it, not even as a silly arcade or party game. The game does cost $8.99, which isn’t terrible but it’s only worth picking up to play with other real people, and you might not get more than an hour or two out of it. If it was $5 or less, it would be a decent pickup.
If you’re just playing because you like rougelikes, you’re not going to like Splintered Fate. But if you’re a fan of TMNT, you’re going to look past all the shortcomings and the gameplay itself, and you’ll enjoy the TMNT flair.
But those are all expected and reasonable shortcomings. The game is nowhere near as big as other monster catching games and franchises, but it gets the job done. If you like this RPG subgenre, you’ll like Doki Monsters: Quest. If you grew up with RPG’s of the 1990’s, you’re also going to love the nostalgic feel. The game is definitely worth checking out.
It might be a Nintendo port of a game that’s more than a decade old, but it still looks amazing. In those opening moments, you’re looking out past the cliffs towards the sea, and it looks phenomenal. The camera shake, camera angles, motion effects, lighting, and other visual effects come together to create such an immersive experience that’s cool and tense. It’s basically a giant movie that you’re playing.
It should be pretty obvious by now that the game has a ton of content, but how does it actually play? Honestly I thought it was pretty good. I played with the Switch 2 Pro Controller and thought drifting and quick turns felt really good. Even when you’re going really fast and breaking a ton of stuff, the game feels responsive and smooth. There was never anything that hurt the experience.
Megabonk is like so many other roguelike titles but it’s 3D gameplay and mix of chaos and absurd humor makes it such an exciting and addicting experience.
