While some may find the campaign to be too short, the relentless action, extremely responsive gameplay, fluid combat and a gore system that would put many other franchises to shame, combined with a robust co-op mode and enjoyable PvP multiplayer, makes Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 one of the best games of 2024, and one of the best action games in recent years.

Just like Deadpool & Wolverine was a great tribute to Fox's Marvel universe, Astro Bot is a great homage to PlayStation. Nostalgia hits hard at various moments, and I admit there were some moments of pure joy that took me back to my childhood. In short, Astro Bot is not a game for kids; it's a game for adults who haven't allowed themselves to abandon their inner child.

Despite minor issues like glitches in Marvel vs Capcom 2, Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is a must-have for fighting game fans, especially if you grew up playing in arcades or are a big fan of the Versus series. The collection also serves as an excellent gateway for new players to understand the foundation of several modern titles, like the origins of extremely popular mechanics such as air combos and double jumps that originated in the Versus series, making the title an excellent "time machine" that respects the legacy of the entire franchise and has the potential to catapult the franchise to new heights.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is definitively Atlus Magnum Opus, bringing a new, extremely rich fantasy world, with unparalleled world-building and art direction, a thrilling story full of charismatic and very well-written characters. Along with that, the combat system is a natural evolution of what we've seen in Persona and Shin Megami Tensei, adding a new class system and real-time combat system, all drenched in the marvelous soundtrack composed by Shoji Meguro. Metaphor: ReFantazio can be considered Atlus 'greatest hits', bringing everything fans loved in their games in a single package, taking them to the next level and making Atlus and Studio ZERO a strong contender for the crown as the new RPG King.

There is nothing like The Plucky Squire on the market. It is a unique experience that is well worth experiencing. Each chapter is a great surprise, capable of provoking laughter, enchanting with its creative puzzles or surprising with unique boss fights. The game is captivating, made with great care and is extremely rewarding, especially because it does not drag on too long. This makes it comforting and leaves you wanting more.

I already considered Final Fantasy XIV a must-play title for franchise fans since Shadowbringers, due to its high-quality story and the incredibly rewarding fanservice. However, with the release of Dawntrail, this recommendation becomes even stronger, solidifying XIV's place in the conversation among the best Final Fantasy games of all time.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is a celebration of the entire Shin Megami Tensei franchise, making it a must-play title for long-time fans, players who have only experienced Persona, or even as an excellent entry point for those who have never touched the franchise or its spin-offs.

Silent Hill 2 (2024) is a remarkable title, both in its original version and in the remake. This remake by Bloober Team brings a renewed experience in all aspects, which certainly adds a lot when it comes to telling the story. The gameplay has also been updated and is fun, although combat is more frequent than it should be. But overall, the experience is excellent and stands out as one of the best survival horrors of the generation.

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake is a true masterclass in how to create a faithful remake of the original material, preserving all the magic of the 1988 game while making it accessible to a new audience through a series of quality-of-life improvements in combat and exploration. Just like the original game, Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake is a must-play title for any fan of Japanese RPGs.

The title is extremely captivating and fun for both children and adults. The game has the potential to keep you engaged, as none of its puzzles, bosses or missions drag on for too long. The player is always searching for and doing something new that will certainly be rewarding. The variety of Echoes and the different problem-solving possibilities also delight and make the experience even more fun.

For those looking to get into the franchise, Ace Attorney Investigations Collection is not the ideal title for that, but it's practically a must for long-time fans. The stories are good, just like the games were before Apollo Justice, which, in my opinion, marked a decline in writing quality since then. The good humor and the most eccentric characters possible are guaranteed in both games of the collection.

Visions of Mana is an easy recommendation for any fan of Japanese RPGs and Square-Enix games, serving as an excellent entry point into the series and a title that promises to carry the legacy of the Mana franchise to new heights. With enjoyable combat, stunning graphics and an exciting twist-filled story, Visions of Mana easily became one of my favorite games of the year.

With an extremely interesting and unpredictable story, charismatic characters, highly detailed scenes, and an immersive soundtrack, Emio - The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club for the Nintendo Switch is a great entry point for those who have never experienced a visual novel before. Long-time fans of the franchise will also be well-served, as Emio maintains the quality already known to players, despite being a slightly longer title than previous games.

God of War is definitely worth playing. I spent about 24 hours immersed in God Of War Ragnarök and, as I write this review, I can't wait to return to the Nine Realms and continue exploring its side activities. Additionally, I plan to venture further into Valhalla and simply enjoy the game even more. Everything God of War offers is masterfully done; it is interesting and provides a fun experience. Its technical side is excellent, and the PC version is of high quality.

Overall, believing that Vessel Of Hatred is a very important step for the title as a whole, bringing a solid campaign, excellent new features and many quality of life improvements, it is difficult not to recommend this expansion to fans of the title.

The Gentlebros, the developer behind the franchise, brings yet another incredibly fun game. For those with a light heart who aren't expecting a serious story, and especially for those who enjoy lighter and more fun combat, this title is definitely a hit and one of the most enjoyable pirate games I’ve ever played.

There are hardly any negative aspects to Sonic x Shadow Generations. Both campaigns are excellent, full of fun and captivating elements. The stunning visuals and the lack of technical issues make the experience even more enjoyable. The combination of nostalgia and innovation is irresistible. I highly recommend this title to fans of the series and new players alike!

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has one of the best campaigns in the entire Call of Duty franchise, bringing an exciting and well written story, beautiful graphics, a never seen movement freedom thanks to the new omni-movement system and extremely diverse and creative missions, that instigate the player to explore different possibilities for each mission, changing completely its approach and being rewarded for it.

Although considered a short game by today’s standards, with around 5 hours of gameplay that can stretch to 7 hours if the player aims for 100%, Nobody Wants to Die is an excellent investigative game that offers a unique atmosphere and an extremely engaging and rich storyline. The title can easily be considered a gem of the noir genre, making it a great choice for fans of investigative plots or those who simply enjoy the retro-futuristic aesthetic of the game.
