Rayman: 30th Anniversary is a solid revival of a classic game that, for better or worse, makes very few changes to the original material, keeping the experience of playing the first game in the series accessible for new players and old time fans alike.

A highly competent CRPG in its writing, freedom, and artistic style, delivering a relatively dense load of politically and socially relevant dialogue, but which, for better or worse, clings too much to its original inspirations.

Despite the bugs and optimization issues, Docked is a very fun and easy-to-get-addicted-to experience thanks to its accessible gameplay loop and missions with the perfect length for multiple replays, making it the best port work simulator on the market.

Resident Evil Requiem is definitely one of my favorite games of the year, even though 2026 has only just begun. CAPCOM has finally managed to fulfill its vision of blending horror and action excellently in a single entry of the franchise, delivering extremely high-quality content.

Almost like a celebratory entry for the franchise, Scott Pilgrim EX delivers a high-quality beat ’em up with a strong focus on fun, encapsulating various aspects of the original work and pop culture as a whole into a highly entertaining title.

Reanimal manages to satisfy your craving for a horror platformer in an iconic way, without clinging to the past, deepening the gameplay, further developing the narrative, and presenting a highly distinctive art style.

Tales of Berseria Remastered plays it safe, delivering improvements in textures, resolution, and frame rate while keeping intact everything that made Tales of Berseria one of the great classics of the Tales franchise. The remaster doesn’t offer many compelling reasons for players who already own the PS4 version to upgrade, but the graphical enhancements make it the perfect entry point for those who have yet to experience Velvet’s journey of revenge.

Romeo is a Dead Man marks the triumphant return of Suda51 with an adventure that blends hack and slash gameplay, punk aesthetics, and absurd humor, delivering Grasshopper Manufacture’s most robust experience to date, albeit technically imperfect. The game fully embraces unrestrained creativity with unique mechanics, such as cultivating zombies and evolving attributes through retro-style minigames, but it stumbles with mission design that becomes repetitive and disrupts the pacing with subspace puzzles. While the narrative shine, the optimization falls short, suffering from performance issues and dated visuals that clash with its inspired art direction.

Final Fantasy VII Remake delivers an ambitious reimagining of the 1997 classic, featuring dynamic real-time combat, an expanded narrative, and high technical quality. On the Switch 2, the solid 30 FPS performance, the versatility between TV and handheld modes, and the inclusion of the Intergrade DLC make the package even more complete. With accessibility improvements and significant narrative changes, it’s an experience that appeals to both longtime fans and newcomers alike.

Code Vein II is the kind of sequel that tries to embrace the whole world and ends up tripping over its own feet. The ambition to create a vast open world with an anime aesthetic is clear, and the system that lets you switch classes at any time remains brilliant for the freedom it gives the player. The problem is that the game quickly loses its shine: exploration becomes tiring with empty environments and repetitive enemies, the story turns into a bureaucratic routine of “going back in time and saving someone,” and the technical performance leaves a lot to be desired.

Crisol: Theater of Idols is a horror FPS that stands out for focusing on action and combat rather than a slow-paced atmosphere. This, combined with an aesthetic that is strongly tied to the studio’s origins, makes the game a major highlight within the genre, even if it isn’t the scariest one.

Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties delivers a complete remake of the third game in the series alongside a new story episode that complements the narrative of Yakuza Kiwami 3 by delving even deeper into the motivations and desires of Yoshitaka Mine. Yakuza Kiwami 3 presents a more compact version of Yakuza 3’s story, making some questionable choices by relocating certain content to side activities, in addition to introducing significant changes to Kiryu’s gameplay. Dark Ties, on the other hand, succeeds by focusing exclusively on Mine’s deeper character development, offering a short campaign that knows when to end, despite falling a bit short in terms of secondary content.

Despite being a sequel to an already popular franchise, Nioh 3 emerges as a pleasant surprise by delivering extremely refined combat mechanics and very well-developed open maps that invite exploration, making it a must-play experience for action game fans.

My Hero Academia: All’s Justice adapts the Final War arc into a fighting game focused on 3v3 battles, featuring quick mid-combo character switches and mechanics like Rising Mode and Plus Ultra to turn rounds around and maintain pressure, while the story mode alternates perspectives to give rhythm and weight to the main confrontations.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimension serves as a solid expansion to the main game’s content, bringing challenging new endgame content and finally allowing players to break the level 100 barrier. Despite the interesting story premise and the fun interactions between characters, the progression system makes the journey somewhat tiring, which may disappoint players who are not strongly attached to the battle mechanics.

Dragon Quest VII lives up to its proposal of being a reimagined version of the 1997 classic, bringing changes that improve the flow of the narrative and modernize the gameplay, while preserving all the magic of the original PS1 title, delivering a fresh experience for longtime fans and opening the doors of the franchise to newcomers.
