7.5 / 10.0 - Super Meat Boy 3D
Apr 6, 2026

Although not a perfect sequel to the original Super Meat Boy, its 3D version is a good enough evolution, and even with some missteps, it delivers a fun, challenging, and quite stressful (in a positive way) game.

Posthumous Investigation doesn't just rely on paying homage to one of the great classics of Brazilian literature; beyond the retelling, it delivers a game that respects your freedom and intelligence as a player by presenting a game with little guidance and full of puzzles that only the best point-and-click games know how to do.

Life Is Strange: Reunion is a return that plays it safe, but clearly understands exactly what fans want to see. Even with some pacing issues and without major gameplay innovations, the game delivers an intriguing story, impactful choices, and a meaningful reunion between Max and Chloe. With more mature characters, strong narrative mechanics, and a memorable soundtrack, Reunion works less as a revolution and more as an emotional conclusion, offering a solid experience for those who have followed this story from the beginning.

Pokémon Pokopia masterfully combines elements from several successful cozy games with the Pokémon formula, creating the ultimate Pokémon paradise for trainers who have long dreamed of caring for their favorite creatures. It replaces battles with familiar systems from cozy and exploration games, making Pokémon Pokopia the definitive cozy game for fans of the franchise.

Darwin Paradox is a platform game that does the basics well. Even with some pacing issues, it features an exotic main character, some clumsy aliens, and fun stealth missions.

4.8 / 10.0 - DAMON and BABY
Mar 23, 2026

Damon and Baby is a risky and interesting proposition for Arc System Works, but honestly, the game doesn't quite live up to the hype presented here. While the game is fun at the beginning, the systems and gameplay loops become tedious and waste all the potential they could have explored.

Screamer is a gift for fans of arcade racing games, delivering a robust story mode, extremely fun gameplay mechanics, and a variety of game modes that bring to life a true gem of the genre, proving once and for all that arcade racing games still have their place.

Rayman: 30th Anniversary is a solid revival of a classic game that, for better or worse, makes very few changes to the original material, keeping the experience of playing the first game in the series accessible for new players and old time fans alike.

9 / 10.0 - Esoteric Ebb
Mar 10, 2026

A highly competent CRPG in its writing, freedom, and artistic style, delivering a relatively dense load of politically and socially relevant dialogue, but which, for better or worse, clings too much to its original inspirations.

Resident Evil Requiem is definitely one of my favorite games of the year, even though 2026 has only just begun. CAPCOM has finally managed to fulfill its vision of blending horror and action excellently in a single entry of the franchise, delivering extremely high-quality content.

8.5 / 10.0 - Reanimal
Mar 2, 2026

Reanimal manages to satisfy your craving for a horror platformer in an iconic way, without clinging to the past, deepening the gameplay, further developing the narrative, and presenting a highly distinctive art style.

Tales of Berseria Remastered plays it safe, delivering improvements in textures, resolution, and frame rate while keeping intact everything that made Tales of Berseria one of the great classics of the Tales franchise. The remaster doesn’t offer many compelling reasons for players who already own the PS4 version to upgrade, but the graphical enhancements make it the perfect entry point for those who have yet to experience Velvet’s journey of revenge.

7.8 / 10.0 - Romeo is a Dead Man
Feb 18, 2026

Romeo is a Dead Man marks the triumphant return of Suda51 with an adventure that blends hack and slash gameplay, punk aesthetics, and absurd humor, delivering Grasshopper Manufacture’s most robust experience to date, albeit technically imperfect. The game fully embraces unrestrained creativity with unique mechanics, such as cultivating zombies and evolving attributes through retro-style minigames, but it stumbles with mission design that becomes repetitive and disrupts the pacing with subspace puzzles. While the narrative shine, the optimization falls short, suffering from performance issues and dated visuals that clash with its inspired art direction.

Final Fantasy VII Remake delivers an ambitious reimagining of the 1997 classic, featuring dynamic real-time combat, an expanded narrative, and high technical quality. On the Switch 2, the solid 30 FPS performance, the versatility between TV and handheld modes, and the inclusion of the Intergrade DLC make the package even more complete. With accessibility improvements and significant narrative changes, it’s an experience that appeals to both longtime fans and newcomers alike.

7 / 10.0 - Code Vein II
Feb 11, 2026

Code Vein II is the kind of sequel that tries to embrace the whole world and ends up tripping over its own feet. The ambition to create a vast open world with an anime aesthetic is clear, and the system that lets you switch classes at any time remains brilliant for the freedom it gives the player. The problem is that the game quickly loses its shine: exploration becomes tiring with empty environments and repetitive enemies, the story turns into a bureaucratic routine of “going back in time and saving someone,” and the technical performance leaves a lot to be desired.
